My daughter will be 4 on our next vacation trip and so excited to go to the boutique. Looking over the packages on the Disneyland website and trying to decide which one to go with. If I bring her princess dress with us and do the package that just does the hairstyle and makeup will that include being taken over to meet the princesses after or only if I do the package where the dress and pictures are included?

I'd be interested to know also. We have done BBB at Disney World but never at DL and I want to take my Daughter in November to DL.
As far as I can find on the net everyone gets to meet the Princess, but only the deluxe packages get photos included, including ones at the Carriage. But I'm not 100% on that. Would be great to find out for sure.
We bring our own dress, they let them change in the dressing room there, just as if they had purchased it there. We don't like the dresses they have, we typically get a "princess inspired" dress instead from Dollcake.

Would love to know this too. I thought I had read that we could also add on the photo package. Trish Scully has princess dresses on sale right now and I want to do this with my girls before my oldest turns 12.

I only stepped into BBB once several years ago just to see it. One of the CMs inside asked if I had a child there. When I told her I didn’t - we just wanted to see it - it was like she became a prison guard and made it very clear we had to leave immediately. It felt very rude. She could have simply asked us to leave/explained their policy, but it was like we were intruders on private property. Yow. I should have complained about her to GS but I didn’t for whatever reason.

It won't include being taken over to meet the princesses. Only the highest level package does, I believe. We did exactly what you described, bringing our own dress - they let her change in the dressing room there and did her make over, but it ended there. I didn't see any option to add photos, although I didn't ask. And I know it didn't include an escort to meet the princesses. We went straight over ourselves though and only waited about 10 mins

at WDW they have BBB included in the photopass (memory maker) so not sure about DL. If we have maxpass which includes photopass do we get photos? Their website isn't very clear on that.
Guess I'll just have to take my own photos and we're ok to wait for the princess ourselves anyway.

I'm not sure why they were rude but I do know they have very limited space in there. Not even everyone in a party can attend sometimes. It is usually limited to 1 or 2 guests.

No, having maxpass/photopass doesn't give you the photos. You are of course welcome to take your own pics during the makeover, but you won't be able to take any with the carriage, etc.

considering the dresses are $59 or whatever (and the Disney store dresses hold up so much better if you have a chronic dress wearer), I always thought at $200ish the extra money was worth it to avoid the lines and go meet the princesses. The fairy godmothers do a really good job and are super cute with the kids. I didn't think you could get the carriage pictures unless you did the castle package, but I didn't look super closely.

For me, it's not worth the extra money. I don't like the Disney store dresses. I prefer to buy a premium dress that is "inspired" by Disney Princesses rather than a cheap dress that has a large price tag. Shame, at WDW you can get photos with anything you want, no matter what package you choose. They even have the entire studio that you can go to for free.

It wasn't personal, Rob -- my guess is she was just trying to protect the kids and was being a bit too energetic. Maybe something had happened recently? There have been issues in the past with men wanting to watch the little girls get dressed up (think shades of JonBenet...). I've been told that's one reason the Anna & Elsa Boutique is no longer in DTD. Completely agree that there was no need to be rude, but I'm glad that CMs are aware and protecting the kids.

There used to be an Anna and Elsa boutique in DtD?????

I imagine that’s true. If they don’t want adults to browse through, perhaps they should station a CM at the door so that guests don’t feel unwelcome or suspected of something unpleasant. That’s the only time I’ve ever felt that way at DL.

The same would happen if you tried to enter the locations at WDW. They are just way too small to have extra people. And I can confirm that when my daughter had it done, there's no way I would want strangers wandering through just to look around. It would be like walking into a spa or salon just to wander around.

Right to the left as you entered DTD from GCH. It was cute. I have a hunch the intense interest in all things Frozen faded to the point where they could no longer sustain a shop dedicated to just that one franchise. As popular as it still is, that initial frenzy was even crazier.

They did have security guards stationed outside the Anna & Elsa Boutique in DTD to stop the men from hanging around the windows taking photos of the little girls getting dressed up.
It wasn't a problem if you just wanted to go inside to shop there (it was a much roomier space than BBB). We often went inside to use the photo booth in the back. CMs were fine with that and were great fun making us laugh.

Thank you that helps to know for trying to figure out what package is best to go with.

Seems like this conversation is a biiiiit off topic for someone who wants to know if photos are included in a package.

Yes I agree. I tried to get it back on topic with my last post and updating the title to reflect the purpose of this thread

I just called the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Style Line at (714) 781-7895. They were helpful. As long as there is availability the photo studio can be added to any level package that doesn’t already have it included. She said just let them know at the time your choosing your package if you want to add the photos.
