Any recommendations on the best hairspray to hold up in the Florida humidity?

I don't want anything that resembles laquer once applied :goodvibes just something to give a hold. (I have naturally curly hair)

I wouldn't use hairspray. Everytime I use hairspray on humid days my hair turns into helmet head. I have wavy hair.

I would forget it too.......I just returned and even though it was not humid the hair felt plastered and I used a good hair spray from the hair dressers.....

I live in hot, humid south Texas and have curly/frizzy hair. I use Pantene Classic Hairspray ("flexible hold") and it works really well.

If you really MUST do hairspray, a flexible hold is your best bet. You may be better off with a light gel and forget the hairspray. Florida is a great place for ponytails!

Vote for no hairspray especially if you enjoy the water rides.

I've found that there really is no hairspray that holds up to Florida's humidity! I just forget about using it when I'm there!

Something from the frizz ease line and a claw clip to hold it up! Last Aug, I wore my long curly hair twisted up, with a no slip black elastic headband, too. I just gotta' keep it under control!

I liked Tresemme- but I have straight hair. It held my flipped out ends all day.

I use Pantene Classic for hard to hold hair. It works fine for me although it is not specificially designed for high humdity. No hairspray isn't an option for me, unfortunately.

Sebastion Shaper Plus. The "Plus" is an anti-humidity ingredient.

I have never had a problem with this hairspray "melting." A few years ago, I attended a beach wedding in Myrtle Beach. It was 93 degrees and humid. My hair looked great all evening. The other women's hair had "melted" and drooped and everyone was asking me what my secret product was. It is that hairspray. It is very good!

:confused3 I can't imagine worrying about using hairspray at Disney World! To each his own, but I wouldn't fuss much if I were you.

I believe the OP asked for a hairspray, not a judgment....

OP, I use Aussie Freeze while in FL. Have fun!

You'd be concerned if you resembled an unshorn sheep while at Disney. I don't even have curly hair, but it turns curly/frizzy after a long day at the parks. I looked like a homeless lady the last time I didn't worry about hair products. I'm not vain and I've long since given up on being gorgeous, but I'd like not to scare children.

ETA: I now use Aussie mousse and a touch of Aussie D-Humidifier hairspray. It doesn't work miracles, but it's an improvement.

I, too use the Sebastian Shaper Plus, and they have small travel size too.
Personally, I am too lazy to do my hair for the parks so I pony it with a WDW themed baseball hat, usually Grumpy in the mornings! :)

But yes, I highly recommend the Sebastian Line, but buy it from a salon, not CVS or something, it is true, at least for me it was, abt buying product direct from a salon. It was NOT the same thing!

Have a great hair day!!

The Aussie one you mentioned is probably the one I saw the other day at Target. It said something on the botte about "even florida" where it mentioned the humidity. I thought that I would probably try that this summer. Kansas gets awful humidity when it is hot!

As for the no hairspray. Not an option here either. My hair is so fine that it won't even stay in a ponytail until it has been "gunked" up with some hairspray. Each to his own though. Not all of us can be drop dead gorgeous with no effort at all.

Looking at last months pics from Disney.....scarrrryyY!!! lol

I think there is a drop dead gorgeous Dis er thread somewhere .......:) j/k
