I am so happy with the design! I am looking forward to staying Jan 2026. I had not considered the sun baking the TPV rooms all afternoon, so thank you all who’ve mentioned that. We need cold rooms for sleeping. I’d rather have the morning sun on the lake side. Just saved me a ton of points honestly. I’m curious if the A/C is motion sensitive. Now we NEED the WiFi upgrades to be confirmed.

For what you spend in extra points to stay at Poly or VGF vs BLT, it probably wasn’t meant to be in the same class in the first place.

We also aren’t spending the points required to stay at either of these properties, though. Maybe my standards are too low, I was just thankful we didn’t get the garish Incredibles themed rooms.

Agreed. I know I’m not the biggest BLT fan but I was hoping this refurb would change my mind. Aside from the artwork, which is definitely a 10/10 (I really hope they sell them), nothing else moves the meter for me. I almost prefer the previous style, it felt more cohesive at least. But if owners are loving it, that’s what matters most!

Agreed. I mean it does have larger rooms and a 3rd bathroom and color.

Seriously, though I think the layout at BLT is that much better, in what regard is it that much less compared to VGF? The tower is a new build and that is usually different (until it's refurb time) but less than VGF?

True, it's not in the same class but like was said above, I don't think it's meant to be. It fits right where it should in line with how Contemporary is marketed as a solid value/budget friendly option (relatively anyways compared to other monorail resorts) and the point charts reflect that.

It’s odd about the sheers - they are in the one bedroom, both bedroom and living room, it not studio. Maybe they forgot to install?

Eating - I agree. You can drag the balcony furniture in I guess… but nowhere to eat other than that.

When BLT opened there were no sheers in any rooms. I and others complained and they did get added to the larger rooms but I always was told there wasn't enough room to do so in the studios.

My remaining question - did they completely replace the shower fixtures in the one bedroom shower? Can you now get the rain shower head to stop from dripping?
edit - I see later in a picture that it has been completely replaced and is no longer the built in plumbing for the rain shower head so it should be easier to fix if something similar starts happening. Great!

The verdict in my family it the colors work together when you’re in the space. Much better than before.

oh good, I'm glad to hear that the colors work together when you are actually in the room. The pics don't quiet pick that up. It looks awesome overall and I can't wait to stay there. I'm def looking forward to buying the artwork. I'm a big Mary Blair and Joey Chou fan.

I dig the Mary Blair influenced art and think the renovations are a huge improvement.

Compared to how bad the Incredibles rooms are at The Contemporary….. this is a thematic home run IMO.

Excited to see the first video of a Theme Park View Grand Villa…..

A real shame that the desks and tables are being removed out of our villas during these refurbs. Maybe they aren’t used as much as I think.

I'm disappointed about removing the tables. They aren't just for eating, a lot of people have to work while they're down there (DVCers are not as commando as regular visitors and probably work more often while there).
