Based on current progress… are the studios (preferred) likely to be finished with their refurb late May?
All of the studios are not in one section. There are 101 Preferred studios and they are on all 16 floors.Based on current progress… are the studios (preferred) likely to be finished with their refurb late May?
Same the new names are annoying and confusingTook some screenshots for you from the DVC Bay Lake points chart.
I kinda liked having the prior names of standard, lake, and theme park.

This. I couldn't believe this on our stay that after waiting half an hour for a DS bus from Riviera dinner to take us back to BLT, we had to drop off at WL first. The entire trip with having to transfer at DS took an hour and a half just for us to have dinner at RIV, no exaggeration. Unacceptable.Great comments on your stay!
I want to commiserate on the bus station situation. It is always disorganized and frequently results in unfair boarding order, because no one knows who is waiting for what bus, and there is no "line" so no one knows who was there first, so people just stand up and run to get on as soon as they see their bus. Tragically, this means some people who may have waited *way* longer than them, may not get a seat even though they might deserve one, or worse, the bus might be full and they weren't able to get on that bus at all!
Like you, I was also originally irritated there was no small convenience store/shop over at BLT, but as long as the skyway is open, it hasn't been too difficult to pop over to the contemporary. I can certainly see the extra mileage being really irritating if the skyway was closed, however!
Finally, Disney should have a hard line that Deluxe resorts guests do not have to share buses with other locations! It's crazy they make you stop at WL first on the way home at night. Definitely a cost-saving measure. It was never like that pre-pandemic.
Next time walk from BLT over to MK and get the RIV bus and the reverse if MK is still open after dinner.This. That was the problem MK just closed and the buses were still coming to Riv, but they refused to let us on and give us a ride back. We didn't know this happens where they stop operating right when the park closes... Lesson learned, we're doing monorail or early dinners when we stay at BLT from now on!Next time walk from BLT over to MK and get the RIV bus and the reverse if MK is still open after dinner.
Agreed. Stayed at Wilderness Lodge 2 weeks back and was surprised to see us making a stop at BLT before heading to Animal Kingdom. Then, at park close, it took 1/2 an hour for a bus for WL/Contemporary to come. Then I don't know how much more for the wheelchairs to load that I figured we might not even get a seat.This. They shouldn't stop at multiple resorts so ridiculousAgreed. Stayed at Wilderness Lodge 2 weeks back and was surprised to see us making a stop at BLT before heading to Animal Kingdom. There is nothing deluxe about the buses and the deluxe resorts. They take way too long.
I didnt realize all the resorts share buses, good to know for night timeWhenever I've stayed at BLT we've made stops at WL on the bus. They share the bus loops, it's just how it is. Just like Poly and GF share buses, and BC and BW do so as well.
Now if understand why people opt for Uber albeit free transportationI've told this story before but my son and his girlfriend left AK at the same time we did. We were able to catch a bus to DSp and walk to the information building there to pick up a forgotten credit card, grab another bus to ASMu and walk to the farthest parking lot there to pick up our rental car, and drive to the GF in almost the same amount of time as my son was able to get to GF on one bus because there were so many stops at other resorts along the way. They beat us by about 5 minutes, but all in all, it took them about an hour and a half to just catch a bus from AK to the GF. Ridiculous.
Congrats, you're going to love the new rooms!!Closed on our BLT 160 point resale contract a month ago and booked our first trip for 5 days during Halloween weekend in a theme park view studio. Wife and kids are super excited and now the count down starts.
Not all. Those mentioned share regularly. There might special occasions when others share buses. Like Riviera might share with Caribbean Beach if the skyliner isn’t operating. That one sucks.I didnt realize all the resorts share buses, good to know for night time
Not Riv (normally)I didnt realize all the resorts share buses, good to know for night time
I suspect there would be complaints if they shared bussing with a moderate resort. Not Riv (normally)
During COVID when every other bus seat was blocked off, it was an absolute nightmare. It’s pretty crazy there are no signs, lines on the ground, etc for bus queuing at BLT/CR. I can totally imagine how that turns into chaos and frustration.
