Can anyone recommend apartments near Disney??? I'm looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment and want to keep it as close to $700 as possible. I have recently relocated to Orlando and will hopefully be working for Disney!!! WooHooo!!!!

I can't recommend an apartment, but every Publix has a bunch of free apartment guides near the door. Good luck!

I don't believe there are any apts near Disney in the $700 range.
Park Vue is on CR535 (Winter Garden-Vineland Rd) and a 1 bedroom there 5 years ago was almost $900 back then.

There are a bunch of differnet apartments down this road, the closer you get to Hwy 50, the lower the rent will be. (as a general rule)
Winter Garden is a little further down 535-and not too far a drive.
Ocoee is just ok-you will have to deal with traffic

Stay out of Pine Hills
Stay out of Metro West
Stay out of Kissimmee. (which is no where near CR535)

Cumberland Park, Mission Club, Camden World Gateway, and Abaco Cay are very popular among cast members. I'd avoid Burna Vista apartments behind the MK. Sabal Palms gets mixed reviews. Plantation Park exits onto an insanely busy street so I wouldn't consider it. I don't know prices, unfortunately, but they're pretty competitive. Dr Phillips is really nice and safe but might not be as cheap. Champion's Gate gets great reviews, same with Davenport. I have a lot of friends down there so if you need an opinion on a specific area, feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can find out.

Definitely get a roommate if you can. Will bring costs down significantly.

Is Orlando that inexpensive? I had my own apartment 20 years ago here (but not the best area), and paid $650 for my 2 rooms.

The apts behind the Magic Kingdom are cast member discounted and the rent is based upon how much you make. They are pretty crappy too-not much better than Section 8 housing IMO.
I took a friend of mine to look at these 5 or 6 years ago, and they told him that he made $24 a year too much to live there. Ridiculous. But in hindsight, after looking at the apts up close, they did him a huge favor.

Dr Phillips is a nice area, there are apts on Wallace Dr that are nice and the ones on Turkey Lake Rd are even newer, but you will pay higher rent in this area.

I have been looking for an apartment in that area as well and can not find anything near $700 most are closer to $900 1 bed to $1200 2 bed on the low end. I did look up prices for a couple mentioned above Mission club and Camden world and both are more than $700. I have been reading that rents in that area have gone up do to there being so many renters with the economy down.

Keep us updated to what you find and if you find anything in that price range. I like the Champion's gate area off of I-4 but those are around $900 for a one bedroom.
