Anyone remember ‘Mall bangs?’

My hair was never long enough to have that look, but in the 80's I did rock a teased perm and sides slicked back with gel so stiff it was like crazy-glue. Basically this, only chin-length. Good times! :goodvibes

This is an epic mullet. Very Sheena Easton meets Stevie Nicks. The haircut that breaks a Don Johnson heart, and makes a guest appearance on Attitudes, featuring Linda Dano and Dee Kelly.

Wow. Lived in very small town Kansas then and don't recall that was a style among teens. I was a h.s. teacher so certainly wasn't wearing my hair like that!

Everything old is new again eventually. It was whole head teased as high as you could in the early 60s with tons of AquaNet. I have naturally curly hair and was able to get it pretty straight that way. My mother purely hated that! "I don't know why you do that to your beautiful curls!" Any teenager, then or now, can answer that question. 😁

I'm too old but both daughters were in high school during the Aqua Net era and this thread is bringing back so many fun memories. (though I personally can't live now without hairspray as hair is starting to cause problems)

The memories of the hair also flooded back memories of the music. Love looking at one daughter's pictures of the frozen high hair looking positively thrilled to be at a George Michael concert.
Still love the 80's music.
