Anyone know the DVC ownership breakdown by age group?

We purchased in 2016 when we turned 50. Added on numerous times since and have no intention of selling. Have taken more trips and in bigger villas. We have no two-legged children so the contracts will be passed onto sibbling and cousins and close friends who love Disney and have expressed interest in owning.

I am 40 and my wife is 37. I wish I would have bought 18 years ago when I was a cast member and had a major discount, but when your in college making $7.83 an hour, you can't afford that major discount 🤣🤣 now i dream about finding a work from home part time position at Disney just for the discount 🤣🤣

I would be interested in knowing the demographic of people with kids that buy and without. We are disney adults, no children

We are both 65+,I was 54 and my DW was 48. Kids were early 20's late teens and first contract was 2007. Resale OKW 190 points at 73.Now we have 2 grand princesses and 450 points between OKW and AKL. Life is good.

We are married 65 when we purchased. One daughter and one granddaughter.

Purchased once I retired. For me and also to provide vacations for my granddaughter. My wife and daughter can come also.

Providing vacations for my future grandchildren is also a big part of why I purchased. How nice that you’ve arrived there. I’m 50 with teenagers so I should still have years to go, but I am excited for the future at wdw with babies.

We purchased our first contract in 2022 at ages 51 and 50. 160pt BCV. We now own 670 pts at BCV, OKW, and SSR. My hubby is currently looking at an AKL contract ight now.

of people I personally know outside of WDW are members

2 couples are in their 30s
1 couple in their 60s but bought I would estimate in their 40s
1 couple it seems bought it seems in their 60s

and 1 couple we know bought in their late 30s/early 40s and sold in their 60s

I don’t even think I took one legitimate vacation in my 30s. I definitely wasn’t buying DVC. I was busy paying loans and working a lot.
I'm in my 30s, I'm still paying loans but I still bought DVC :rolleyes1. I'm in zero rush to pay off these student loans when the dept of edu may blow up anytime ;)

I work a regular full-time job which has been amazingly stable (next year will be my 10 year anniversary) so that definitely helped me be able to buy into DVC two years ago. I guess it just depends what the priorities are of the 30-something person. I'm not interested in buying property (I'll likely inherit my parents house should they pass), was never into the party/club scene but had my hobbies/interests. I think a big factor is I'm single and don't have kids.

We closed on our first contract (Resale RIV) on Monday- we are 24 & 26 😊

Here’s to more contracts (yes, I’m already looking!) in the future! 🥂
Congratulations! At 24 there is no way I could have bought any DVC contract… You should feel very proud!
