All I want is to find decent food inside Magic Kingdom

We have to lower our expectations and decide where to compromise- our grands liked the characters at Crystal Palace and we could accept the food. We all liked the food at CHH and Liberty Tree- although we didn’t want repeated meals there that often. Same with Casey’s Corner. The grands liked Be Our Guest (that painted Chip cup!) and adults liked Skipper’s. We will eat one meal in MK a day depending on our touring plan, then go to a resort ( ours for a break or a monorail resort, which at times has been ours) for the other and a break.

For us MK is a challenging park for food.
Skippers is our goto. LTT is good comfort food, but nothing special.
BoG is good food, but too expensive for what it is.
Columbia Harbour house is consistent, but lost some of our favorite items off their menu.
Pecos Bill was good for CS our last 2 trips, but really miss the fixings bar.
Refuse to go back to Plaza. We used to love that place. had 2 terrible meals with the burgers so greasy that you couldn't pick up the bottom half of the bun.
Have read that Tonys has improved. had too many meh meals to try it again.

To sum this up so far the top recommendations in order are:

Columbia Harbour House
Sleepy Hollow
Skipper Canteen
Liberty Tree Tavern
Be Our Guest

With honorable mention to Friar's Nook and Casey's.

Part of my challenge is I'm imagining my nephew wanting to start in Tomorrowland. We'll have a late arrival, but I'm not sure how late. Looking at the map maybe Sleepy Hollow would be the winner for lunch that. It's not really that far from Tomorrowland.

Thanks everybody.

Sleepy Hollow is more snacks than a full on meal. The chicken and waffle is good, but it's hardly what I would consider something to get through until dinner.

I did forget about Casey's. Their hot dogs are good. And there's also Aloha Isle for Dole Whip.

The only people I will ever recommend BOG to are people that have never seen the inside. The food is middling, at best, and the price is definitely not worth it. They're only charging what they are because they are still fully booked every day. If you can get a full restaurant charging $62 a person, would you bother charging less?

Have a good dinner/lunch at Skipper Canteen and then just snack around!

(maybe not all on same day...):
Cheeseburger eggrolls
Corn dog nuggets
Pretzel with cheese
Loaded tots

That's what we did. :)

My family is fairly picky so we prefer basic theme park food (burgers, chicken nuggets, fries....etc) not everyone wants upscale food at every turn it's annoying so the QS offerings at MK are just fine. None of us like Skipper Canteen(overrated), Be Our guest( there pre covid lunch was pretty good) or Columbia Harbour House( no seafood fans here). Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace(now that it's back to a buffet) is a must for my wife, the plaza is decent however it seems like they added extra tables(shocking) and it's just overly crowed and noisy now. We keep wanting to get to Tony's but it just never seems to fit into our plans. Overall we have zero issues with the food offerings at MK.

I think there are very decent options at Crystal Palace. Some of it is skippable, but you can assemble a very nice plate there.

Pinnochio often has seasonal offerings that are pretty good, often a flatbread upgrade.

The tots at friars nook are great for fast food.

The Greek salad at cosmic rays is pretty good.

And geyser point or roaring forks are a quick boat ride away at Wilderness. Steakhouse 71 is a quick walk.

Skipper's is definitely our go to at MK. Pecos is good, but agree with others that it's just not the same without the fixings bar. Harbour House is pretty good as well. We tried the Plaza once and would not go back. The "famous" Plaza fries were meh and both my son and I got sick after eating the Monte Cristo. So.Much.Grease :crazy2:

Everyone but me seems to love the spring rolls in Adventureland. I'm not a fan (too greasy and not all that great) but can accept I'm in the minority so you might give them a try for snack.

I'm not above making a meal out of a Dole whip float in MK due to the lack of other things I like there .

I know you said you weren't interested in leaving the park, but there are so many great restaurants in the surrounding resorts: Geyser Point, Steakhouse 71, Whispering Canyon, Grand Floridian Cafe for example that I still have to mention them. They are just a boat or monorail away and a great way to escape the heat and crowds for a couple of hours.

I doubt you will spend a whole morning in Tomorrowland. You will probably migrate at some point to Fantasyland and from there CHH isn’t that far - it’s basically next to PP.

I think Columbia Harbor House has gone down hill, big time. Their lobster roll in particular is embarrassing. We used to really like the rotisserie chicken at Cosmic Rays but it disappeared during COVID and hasn't been seen since. I enjoy Pecos Bill's. We usually use Magic Kingdom as the place to get junk food out of our system. Turkey legs, corn dogs, etc. The types of things you might want once on your vacation but certainly not every day.

Pecos Bill should still be on your list. The problem is that it's not as good as it used to be, so while that is a negative, it still beats out nearly all of the other QS locations at MK.

My problem with Pecos Bill is that I’ve never experienced it not in absolute chaos. It’s hectic in there, crowded, and one of the messiest QS I’ve seen.

The food is alright, but man. Chaos.

That's interesting - I guess it definitely depends on the day and time you are there. We had an early dinner there a couple of weeks ago, and there were only two other tables occupied in the upstairs area. An hour later, and during a rain storm, it filled up a bit, but things seemed to be running OK (although I wasn't looking that closely at the orders since we had finished eating).

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but my fam loves Pinocchio's! They have some pretty unique flatbreads from time to time which are always yummy, and honestly, the chicken tenders there hit the spot LOL! We also ALWAYS sit at the tables facing small world. Waving at the boats and having them wave back to you is a magical moment for sure and honestly brings up the quality of this place for us :) For snacks, spring rolls, corn dog nuggets, and speciality dole whips for life!

The only place I eat inside every theme park is the Starbucks .
The peach green tea lemonade is very refreshing… and a decent selection food items. Always polite and very busy .
The new Connections Cafe at EPCOT …! Perfect

Yeah, I'll keep it in mind. It was okay in November. But before it was so, so good.

I am hoping you're right. It all depends on how quickly we get out the door. I've never gone with this large a group before (7 people). If we walk in the gate at 10:45 I don't think it would be hard to spend the whole morning in Tomorrowland, lol.
