All About Fixed Weeks (RIV/CCV/AUL/VGF/POLY/TOWER/VHD/FWC Charts)

I already have FW48 in a Riviera Pref.erred studio, but I broke down and got FW18 in a Poly Tower Std studio, as it is getting harder and harder to book that first week in May at certain resorts at 7 months. We have yet to use the FW at Riviera as we have opted out each year to book a split stay instead.

Has any FW owners ever NOT had a fixed week booked because of MS error?
One time I had to remind them when I hadn't received my FW and the normal 11 months + 7 days was entering the first couple of days of my FW.

For next year, one of my FWs was booked 363 days in advance. My other FW hasn't been booked yet; I'll keep quiet and see what happens.

Yeh, I got in touch this year as mine hadn’t been booked (see above post re DVC mistakenly thinking I had opted out!).
The first time I called, I mentioned that the first day of the FW was showing unavailable on the booking calendars and they were adamant that this didn’t make a difference to FWs as it is already out of the inventory…. Not that I believe anything the say any more!

Re sold out properties…Last month I asked my guide about runDisney FW at CC (a sold out resort) and he said FW44 was available!

The issue might be actively selling vs not actively selling. If someone went back to their guide asking about FW at VGF now, maybe there will be availability now.
Did DVC ever announce that Copper Creek sold out? I thought there was some drama there, but can't remember the details.

Maybe it was the inverse, they announced it sold out with 'too many' unsold points?

Guys I'm reserving a Poly FW39 TPV Deluxe Studio for the new Tower. I'm waiting for my guide to call me back to process payments. What are the chances I can get MS to book the week using the FW for next year? Can I ask my guide to try and pull some strings to get a commitment from MS to reserve? I looked at the website and it looks like that week is still available but it costs more in points booking it regularly.

What are your thoughts / suggestions?

Is it past the booking window for that room? If it is, then it’s unlikely. The contract should state which is the first year the FW will be secured.

But it doesn’t hurt to ask since it’s been reported that they did allow some welcome home stays for new PVB tower owners who were already owners.

He is going to look into it and get back to me tomorrow if not tonight.

He looked into it and may have a workaround. He put a “guide hold” on the first 6 nights and will need a higher-up to greenlight giving us the 10 xtra points as one time use to cover the entire week in 2025.

Fingers crossed 🤞.

UPDATE: FW39 cost 196 points. Week 39 booked without a FW contract 206 points.

I feel we’ve won DVC!

I’d like to thank all the enablers in this FW thread who’ve done so much to support us in this addiction!!

You are the wind beneath our wings.

@Sandisw , they did it. Contract said first FW visit not till 2026, but ask and you shall receive!

Thanks for the advice: “it doesn’t hurt to ask”…

Congrats!! #TEAMFW39

Random, dumb question: is it possible to own multiple contracts of the same FW?

I own a W52 that I mostly use for SAP, am I prevented from buying other W52?

I assume you mean at the same property. Either way, I would be surprised.

What would be the rationale to prevent you?

Not necessarily same property. My W52 is AUL and if I bought another FW it’d probably be at WDW.

Reasons why they’d potentially block it, or maybe make me pick which booking I’d actually want each year:
  • I can’t physically be at multiple resorts at the same time, let alone time zones apart
  • WDW’s reservation/account system doesn’t work great with the same person booked at multiple resorts on the same night(s)
  • FW booking is a manual booking process for DVC, they’d be aware they’re wasting CM time
  • Sometimes DVC has weird or oddly specific rules lol

My completely uninformed guess is that there would be no issue. I’d confirm with a CM before purchasing but since you are completely within your rights to cancel a FW reservation in exchange for points to use at the same/other time, it’s perfectly feasible that you could just want to alternate between AUL and WDW.

We usually prefer travelling later in October or into November, but that Week 39 seems like a phenomenal deal.

I suppose there’s no real way to make it work with an October use year though since the week invariably straddles Sept 30 / Oct 1?

First and second points I’ve personally tested without issues.

Third point is doubtful the person doing one will be the same doing another of the FW52s. Even if they were they likely won’t remember your name across however many contracts they book on a daily basis.

The last point is the one that I agree with most, but they aren’t the most aggressive at enforcing their own rules.

In summary, I think the odds are exceedingly small that it will be a problem.
