Good afternoon! We are heading to HS at the end of June / July and have after hours tickets. I've read pretty much all the after hours threads but I was wondering if there was any consensus as to a plan of attack. Our primary goals are TSM, SDD, ToT, RnR. I am happy to do other things but those are the primary things we would like to go on, more than once preferable. I know there is a chance that RnR will be closed by then, but I'm hopeful they would have that information out by now. I'm an old school touringplans planner and I have a general plan of attack that works for us in each park. I'm wondering what might be a good plan of attack to give us the most success at our after hours party. I hope that makes sense!

We did AH at HS 2 years ago; things may have changed since then but the best advice I’d give you is to do the less popular rides first. There are still some lines at the beginning of the party from the regular guests, so let them filter out before going to the headliners. Otherwise, our experience at the party was that there were so few guests you didn’t need any plan, just do what you want when you want, as the waits are minimal. We rode ROTR 3 times and walked on each time. It was phenomenal! Have a great time!

Thank you! This is my hope but it seems like lots of people aren't saying that. Will keep fingers crossed!

From what I’ve been hearing, SDD is the only one of those that really has a line. So probably save that for later in the night when the line dies down

See, now this thread made me think about doing an After Hours the end of May. I haven't been to one since the Villains After Hours prior to the great pause. OP - what made you decide to do it? I'm on the fence about whether it is worth the extra $155 as a solo person.

Quite honestly I've just always wanted to do it - since the very first days at MK when my girls were little. I love the idea of walking around the park with my (now) teens and just going on a ride - and maybe going on again and again when possible. We also go in summer when it's so hot outside. We really loved when they had Early Morning Magic, this seems similar!

I am not the OP but I am considering an After Hours at the end of May and will be solo as DH does not want to attend with me. I have a dining reservation for a little after 7:00 pm so will enjoy a leisurely dinner first. And frankly I have never been in Hollywood Studios after dark in all the years I have been a Disneyworld fan girl so can't wait to see Galaxy's Edge at night, enjoy rides with lower crowds and escape the heat of the day. I also have the DVC discount so that's another plus. It sounds like a fun time and I am happy to treat myself to this event!

When end of May? I bought a ticket for the May 28 event yesterday (got convinced to do it by several people.) If that's your night, maybe we can meet up for a ride or an ice cream?

When we did HS AH, the only thing that had a wait at any point was SDD and that was at the most 30 minutes. I don't really think you necessarily need a plan of attack (and I'm a planner). Just go around and focus on your priorities. Maybe save SDD for later, but then again, if it's a priority, you don't want to risk it going down or something.

Did you go recently?
