A Renaissance Hotel with an outside shaped just like the Contemporary

For fun I was looking at different Marriott Hotel locations and I found one Renaissance Marriott in Denver, with an outside that looks just like the shape of the Contemporary. Less freaky than you'd think Same architect. Not a guess - I have Disneyphile friends who've stayed at this Marriott

Hubby and I stayed there last February - very nice hotel, on the inside. Great staff, very friendly people! We were sent there after our flights were cancelled during the lovely snowstorm that shut down Chicago, among other cities. We got a huge discount on the room, which had the most comfy king-sized bed ever! Too bad I was too worried about my kids being home without us for 24 hours to really enjoy it.

Wow! That really looks like the Contemporary.

We stayed at the Renaissance at Hartsfield Jackson airport (ATL) a few years back, it's the same type architecture. Inside is very similar too, girls said the whole time they thought they were back at CR!

The beds are soooo comfortable. As a matter of fact, we took a picture of the tag on the mattress to try to get one just like it.

This hotel was built some time ago, most likely around the same time of the CR. It was remodeled serveral times over the years, but it is like a mini CR on the outside. In the past it was right next Stapleton International Airport which was closed and converted into a variety of land developments with the opening of Denver International Airport (DIA) to get flights further away from the foothills due to wind shear concerns.

I agree about the beds, the entire hotel was very nice and accomodating to us. We stayed there twice in about a one month time for cheer competititions at the Convention center close to there. The staff went out of their way to take good care of us and the rates of <$100 a night were wonderful for the level of comfort. We too had a room facing the taxiways, it was neat to watch the planes at night.
