2025 Moonlight magic

No, I'm sorry to tell you that usually only the rides are open. World Showcase is closed from Norway to France.

Since you can enter prior to the start of MM, you could experience some world showcase, but then they do rope off the area and you have to take the long way around from Frozen to Remy.
I went to Epcot MM earlier this year (my first in March 2020 was canceled ...). Unfortunately went with a friend who isn't a fan of roller coasters (while GotG is my favorite ride at WDW). We had early dinner at Flying Fish, walked the world showcase from France to Mexico, 9pm fireworks, then Test Track and GotG. We had to skip Soarin and that whole section of Future World (insert Rodney Dangerfield GIF "no respect"), walked up the other way and saw DVC fireworks and rode Remy on our way out to the Skyliner. We did something similar at Epcot EEH and since we were getting on GotG at around 10:30 they told us we could re-ride by tapping in again anyway - the queue was almost empty.

MM was less crowded, with more special stuff, of course - snacks and characters - but if you're intent on the rides, EEH on Mondays is a decent substitute.

EEH = Extended Evening Hours

So we will be at WDW on Feb 12th. They haven’t released when registration will open for that one. When should I start really combing through my emails to see when registration will open? Was it 60 days before normally?

Never been to MM before.

You can get into the "waiting room" as soon as the link becomes available. When the registration actually starts, you would automatically be transferred into the queue.
Any idea of the time? DH has dr appointment at 9… eastern time. I would love registration to be later, so he can be free to help register.

Got the email.
You are receiving this email because you currently hold a qualifying Disney Resort hotel reservation booked using your eligible Membership on an event date, providing you access to early booking registration beginning on September 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
It seems the queue is already open…

Yes, you can get in line now. But everyone is randomized at 11am, so doesn't help to get on early

Just got the email! I'm shooting for December 10 at AK but this is arrival night so I'm kind of bummed about that but I'm going to take a shot at it in the morning. I plan on waiting in the VQ for quite a while.

I haven’t had a reservation that coordinated with MM since covid. I have a cash reservation at pop in December, would that qualify? I didn’t receive any email, but I also remember never getting them before even when I would be there on points and there was a MM.

I haven’t done it personally but I believe last fall the answer was “only if you booked a cash rate through member services.”

This is my first time trying as a Y card member with a stay booked on my resale points and I got the email today, so that’s a good sign. 🙏🏼

That’s correct. Only cash reservations made through member services in the DVC villas, or reservations anywhere using points.

You too!

I clicked the link and am in the queue but is this the best strategy? Do I need to refresh at 11?
As far as I know, refreshing doesn’t help. Everyone in the queue when the clock hits 11 AM Eastern time will be assigned a random number. It doesn’t really matter when you join as long as it’s before 11.

The link is on the public website so even if you didn't receive an email you can try. Unless you booked via the cash rate via Member services, you may not be able to register.

Okay, I have the page open but it is just the countdown.

We'll see how it goes, we have an appointment at 9 (so leaving at 8:40)....AZ time (so 12 Eastern)
