In room dining menus, continued (from July 2014).
My kids want Mickey Waffles for breakfast at least once. Is this the only way to get them besides a table service? And do they check the age for the kids? My 2 older girls are 10 and 13 but not big eaters and would only need the kids waffle. I still consider them "kids" but disney doesn't!

I can't imagine they would check the kids' ages if you were ordering from room service.

Yes, unfortunately, I think this is the only onsite non-table service option for Mickey waffles. They can be found at both of the resorts' table service restaurants- at the Cape May character breakfast and the Captain's Grille- both on the buffet and a la carte. This is from the children's menu:

Mickey-shaped Waffles - dusted with Powdered Sugar and choice of Small Lowfat Milk, Small Dasani Water, or Small Minute Maid Apple Juice - $6.49

:)

Dee sorry to hear you are in the bullseye again.

Thanks for the sympathy!!!

Thank you so much for posting these!!! I am going to link these two posts to the Dining section on Page 1.

You're welcome! I'm happy to help and glad I can, in a small way, repay everyone here for all the help and advice I have received!

I think this is the best thread on the boards! Everyone is so helpful and nice!

Amen to that!! Quick question...has anyone tried the 2.4 mile jog that runs around the perimeter of the Epcot resort area? See page one map....just wondering what peeps thought about it. Thanks!

Hi!
We (DH, DD12, and I) have just booked at BC in a standard room for 8/22-8/30. We are traveling with our adult daughter and her husband. It is everyone's 1st trip to BC. It has been on the bucket list for quite a while, and we are so excited!!!
Does anyone have advice of whether we should do on-line check-in? It is booked as two separate reservation numbers, but we are hoping to get rooms close to each other. Better to not do check-in on-line?
Thanks!

You can certainly check in early in the morning ... even before 10 AM. Bell Services will hold your bags for you, you can go to the parks and then you will get a text message telling you when your room is ready and the room number. Sounds like a wonderful trip you have planned!!

Thank you that's super helpful. I just want to get into Magic Kingdom as soon as possible. I know the kids will be tired but I won't be able to contain my excitement. Thanks to all who keep this forum up and running - it has been so helpful in planning our trip and making the choice to stay at Beach Club!

Arriving at Yacht Club in 10 days for conference and Princess Half Marathon weekend! I have a few questions of someone has time to answer
1) Case Water available for purchase at gift shop - anyone have any update on this?
2) Are bath robes in the room provided?
3) What soap/lotion/shampoo/conditioner are provided in the room?
4) What kind of coffee/coffee maker do they have in the room?
5) If I have a package shipped does anyone know what Disney charges?
Thank you!

We haven't ran that loop, but we have ran around then Boardwalk and then over to Hollywood Studios! It was really awesome running to the studios when it was so early( about 5:30a) and no one was around, it was one of my favorite times . :yay:

Does anyone know how much the room service laundry costs?
We are in Florida for 3 weeks 2 days and I know I'll need to do a clean and prefer to have the resort do but when we went to Mexico over Xmas and NY was so expensive. Still did it mind you!

Hi Dee!
Just wanted to wave from where we are....also once again in the Jackpot zone.
Is it summer yet?
Can't we have a nice little snowstorm that drops less than 18"?

Sigh. On a lighter note, JNPants and I will be planning out ADRs while the snow flies!

Did the bus service to MK change? Is it now the buses are just for BC/YC not for all the Epcot resorts? Also, if this is the case; is it the same for AK?

Woo Hoo!! :jumping1: We checked in last Sunday, had reserved a water view room with request for daybed and full balcony. When we arrived, we were escorted to the club level and checked in there, both of our request were met with full club access. I think we got Lucky party:. Didn't notice any major construction going on in Storm Along Bay. There was a little work being done by Hurricane Hannahas, and one of the bridges was closed, but the rest of the pool was business as usual. We did check out Friday, so this could have changed by now.

We really do try to keep things friendly and helpful here. You can give accurate information AND have fun at the same time. I think that's why we have so many resort veterans hanging around even when they don't have trips on the horizon.

As you demonstrated, everyone can help to contribute something.

:goodvibes:

I believe that is due, in great part, to our fearless leader, Dee, who helps set the tone! :)

Awww... Thanks!!!

I haven't, but I have a few friends who have gone out for early morning runs around the EPCOT resort area. As long as it is early enough that it is not too crowded or too hot, people have enjoyed the route.

:thumbsup2

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list that we keep on Page 1.

I'm thinking you should pass on the advanced checkin. Make sure you call the Central Reservations Office and add the request "Travelling with XXX party- request rooms close together". Then, when you arrive at the resort to checkin you can discuss the locations of your rooms.

:)

1) Cost of Case of Water- can someone who is there now or soon check on this???
Last time I saw a price for a case of water at The Marketplace, it was $16, but someone mentioned on this thread recently that they heard some of the resorts had cases of water for around $6. But I haven't heard any confirmation of that.

2) Answered by shoreward- only in club level rooms

3) I'll post a picture in a minute

4) Answered by shoreward- Cuisinart pod machines

5) If delivered to the resort by US Postal Service right to the front desk, no additional charge. If the package is delivered by FedEx or UPS, it is delivered to the convention center and the charge is based on the weight of the package.

:)

I think I have the price list posted on the first page of this thread, in the laundry section of Ameneties (Post 5). I think it is pretty expensive. I'll post the link here in a few minutes.

Valet Laundry Service

The Yacht and Beach Club has a valet laundry service where you can send out items to be cleaned by the Housekeeping department. They will come to your room and pick up the items and then place them back in the room when they are finished. The fee is per item by the item.

 Although you may not be able to see me waving from behind this snowbank!

Speaking of summer... have they cancelled school for tomorrow in your district yet? We are expecting the call any time now, and at this rate we will be attending school until the very end of June.

We spent today packing for our trip to the Dark Side and looking at food porn from the Universal restaurants.

Do you have an upcoming trip booked?

Although I never stayed at the Beach Club during a time of year when the bus to MK or AK shared with other EPCOT resorts, I did hear that the routes during slower times of the year are now only BC/YC directly to those parks without sharing with the other resorts. Can't remember if it is the same for DTD too, or not.

Congrats on the upgrade!!! Sounds fantastic.

Thanks for the update on the pool. Hopefully someone there know can let us know if the lazy river is currently open or if refurb work has started.

Would love to be added to the list. We'll be at Beach Club October 3rd-10th!

:welcome:

Will do!!!

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Posted another update to our Tokyo Disney Resort trip report! Day 2 was Tokyo DisneySea! Click the link below...

I am going to reserve a breakfast at Cape May for a "chill" day. I'm booking a late seating. Is it necessary? Anyone have luck just walking into cape May for breakfast or dinner. We're party of 2.
