Yikes! That’s concerning.I have read of assaults in the teen areas. Assaults at the adult pool.

Yes. Lots of bad behavior on cruises. All of this happened on the fantasy - when the fantasy sailed 7 night itineraries last year.Yikes! That’s concerning.
We’ve been on several 7 nights and have seen a little bad behavior but not that bad.My oldest stays to himself (us to) and my younger one is on the spectrum and usually just plays uno with a counselor. So they aren’t ones to report things to us.Yes. Lots of bad behavior on cruises. All of this happened on the fantasy - when the fantasy sailed 7 night itineraries last year.
We've never done early dinner even when the kids were little. It looks very chaotic. I do enjoy kids though. I love sitting in the promenade lounge watching them dance.Yes, and skip the shows…. That’s one of our secrets to an enjoyable cruise!
I don't blame you, we just can't eat that late... sadly...We've never done early dinner even when the kids were little. It looks very chaotic. I do enjoy kids though. I love sitting in the promenade lounge watching them dance.
I agree I don't notice them either and I have teens. Spotting one of my own roaming in the wild on the ship is always a nice surprise. They like to hide in all the nooks around the ship. My daughters complained that the wish did not have enough little nooks for them to hang out in so they don't like it as much as the Dream/Fantasy. I do hear about the antics however from my kids and there have been some that make you go WHAT!! Oh the stories the ship security can tell, might make a fun adult entertainment storytelling activity onboard.Funny I never notice the teens. It takes a lot to bother me.
There are DCL employees whose job it is to read the after cruise security reports. Bet they get some interesting reading!I do hear about the antics however from my kids and there have been some that make you go WHAT!! Not gonna lie I would like that job, it would not be dull! Plus a disney travel discount for working for the Mouse is an extra bonus. There are DCL employees whose job it is to read the after cruise security reports. Bet they get some interesting reading!
I met a guy on a DCL cruise who did this job! On that cruise, DCL lost my fan - removed at the port, but never made it to the ship. I had to go to guest services multiple times and talk with the officers over housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. He told me that he couldn’t wait to read the after report, because I would be all over it!Not gonna lie I would like that job, it would not be dull! Yeah we did the 10 night before also in July. Couldn't wait to get off the boat. That is the only DCL cruiseHmm.. Eastern Caribbean in July. Uh - no. We've done that, it's really hot/humid. We just returned from the Southern Caribbean (in Dec) and it was hot/humid and rainy.
I didn't really hate the cruise, just couldn't do as much as I would like to have done. Off the ship, and hour or two was all I could manage (if I could stay in shade). Most of our excursions were on open air truck/trams, so that wasn't good, either.Yeah we did the 10 night before also in July. Couldn't wait to get off the boat. That is the only DCL cruise
DH and kids have hated because of the heat/humidity. lol
Do you think the Caribbean is too hot/humid in June, August, September or October? Or only July? We have sailed DCL to the Caribbean in all of those months and have been fine. We are from the south, where it is hot/humid for months in the summer and fall.I didn't really hate the cruise, just couldn't do as much as I would like to have done. You are making me feel better about my Alaska choice. Alaska never sounds great thinking about in January, but when July get's I'll be glad I'm getting out of the heat.Yeah we did the 10 night before also in July. Couldn't wait to get off the boat. That is the only DCL cruise

Certainly, for those who are generally used to that sort of heat/humidity, the Caribbean cruises may not be as much of an issue. For others of us, it can be.Do you think the Caribbean is too hot/humid in June, August, September or October? Or only July? Oh my goodness yes! You know how some cruise to Caribbean/Islands every summer? If we could IYou are making me feel better about my Alaska choice. Alaska never sounds great thinking about in January, but when July get's I'll be glad I'm getting out of the heat.
We went to Alaska last Summer too and Northern Europe two years in a row before that. I like the Caribbean from November to April. It's been pre covid since I've done a Caribbean cruise. I'm fine with an inside room on Alaska, but the excursions make it an expensive cruise. On the other hand there are so many different things to do other than just a beach.Oh my goodness yes! You know how some cruise to Caribbean/Islands every summer? If we could I
would reverse that and go to Alaska every summer. I would take that cold weather cruise vs the opposite
any day!
Why is this? Because it's summer and more kids are out of school and therefore there are more teens on the ships? Or is it specific to this ship or this itinerary? You said "summer southern", so I'm trying to figure out what this means. I also just bumped up an old thread where someone said they wouldn't do the repositioning from San Juan again due to poor behavior of passengers, so now I'm concerned.I was thinking about it when I saw it yesterday. However I keep hearing about how bad the behavior is on the summer southern (thefts, teens dropping ice cream on guests on purpose), so I am hesitant to book.
The 10 day sailing every summer in July out of Florida has some of the worst behavior. I think it’s a few things. Lots of teens lots of kids. It’s long enough for the teens to grow bored and bold. It’s also long enough that the parents just give up on parenting and focus on having fun. It’s also very expensive so people feel like they shouldn’t have to be working (aka parenting) while on vacation. Why is this? Thank you. It's really sad, though. The 10 day sailing every summer in July out of Florida has some of the worst behavior. I think it’s a few things. Lots of teens lots of kids. My kids were in Vibe on the Fantasy last week and requested a certain video game from the Counselors. They said they were no longer allowed to use that game. All of the kids asked "why?" and supposedly the Counselors looked at each other, sighed, and then said, "A few months ago some kid got gamer rage over that and we had to call security." I'm still not sure if that's true, or they were pulling the kid's legs! But, it's totally possible that happened. My kids are 20 and 22 now. The used to talk about kids vaping and some normal teen drama. There were a couple cruises with some good stories, but I don’t recall any violence. Maybe things have changed.
I’m like you late dinners and adult areas. I also don’t really pay attention to what other people are doing.
