Just a heads up if anyone has been thinking of this cruise. The 10 night eastern Caribbean on the Magic out of PC just went OGT and IGT. No VGT. We just booked it tonight. We were looking at a oceanview on the Treasure in May and this cruise ended up being about the same price!

I was thinking about it when I saw it yesterday. However I keep hearing about how bad the behavior is on the summer southern (thefts, teens dropping ice cream on guests on purpose), so I am hesitant to book.

Hmm.. Eastern Caribbean in July. Uh - no. We've done that, it's really hot/humid. We just returned from the Southern Caribbean (in Dec) and it was hot/humid and rainy.

We just had almost the same behavior on an early December 7 night Fantasy cruise. Seems to not be limited to the summer anymore, unfortunately.

The 12 night med also went VGT and I rebooked and saved $4k. My paid in full date was only a few weeks away so we were already prepared to pay the bill. It was nice it went VGT prior to PIF date for us so there were no penalties. We had it booked with a placeholder discount so we moved it to a destiny sailing in 2026 so we don’t lose the discount.

I'm not seeing this cruise when I search. There's a 10-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. Did you mean that one, or is the website just being broken for me again?

Just fixed it! Thanks!

I saw that. I would have booked that in a heartbeat. I've already got the time off for the 9 night Alaska. I don't know if I want to go through the hassle of re-requesting PTO.

Nice. I don't think my 9 night Alaska is going to go GT. It looks pretty full and it wasn't a horrible price to begin with unlike the one you are on.

I really wanted to do the 12 night, but we booked the 9 night instead - I can totally understand why it went VGT - it is still 2k+ more than we paid for the 9 night. I'd be slightly tempted, but I've already booked so much (including our flights) - it is too late to switch.

On the main topic - we've done southern in May, and there were no crazy issues. I think it can happen on any cruise unfortunately.

We went on the 10 night on the Fantasy last year. With the behavior onboard my daughter and I both agreed we wouldn't book it again.

Yes. We sailed on the fantasy 5 times last year. We saw lots of bad behavior from unsupervised teens and tweens. Unfortunately, this behavior happens all during the year.

I'm surprised, I would have thought the longer cruises would have better behavior...

Funny I never notice the teens. It takes a lot to bother me.
Me either! I am always shocked after a cruise when I have internet and can read what was posted in the cruise FB page. I never notice any of it because we stay in the adult only area, have late dinner and don’t do any shows. I have read of assaults in the teen areas. Assaults at the adult pool. Bad behavior from roving teens/tweens at dinner, shows, pool deck - and verbally abusing cast members. People smoking on their balconies, stealing, flighting and just general classless behavior. All times of the year, not just summer.

I did have a magnet stolen off my stateroom door in early December. First time ever.

My kids are 20 and 22 now. The used to talk about kids vaping and some normal teen drama. There were a couple cruises with some good stories, but I don’t recall any violence. Maybe things have changed.
I’m like you late dinners and adult areas. I also don’t really pay attention to what other people are doing.

Yes, and skip the shows…. That’s one of our secrets to an enjoyable cruise!
