10 days in Disney w/ pics

I just loved your TR! I just got back from a Disney vacation and I'm excited to write mine (I'm waiting on pictures)

The most interesting part of your trip was the Flag Family day. I'm sure that was a lot of fun. Can you go into detail of what Bruce (that was his name, right?) told you? I'm very curious

I just read your trip report. What a wonderful story you had to tell! I'm now more excited than ever to return to the world! We stayed at the WL last June and LOVED it. This time we're going to try POFQ to save a little $$$$. Thank you so much for all the work you put into the TR!! :sunny:

So glad you enjoyed it. Have a great trip, you'll have to let me know what you think of staying at POFQ after the WL, it looks very nice and of course I'd love to save money but WL has us HOOKED!

Looking forward to reading yours, glad you enjoyed my report.
Let's see. . .Bruce. . .he gave us so much Disney trivia. He told us when each resort was built, he used to work at the BeachClub for 10 years so he talked about that and how much he loved it . He said his entire family was "Disney" his wife worked at the Transportation/Ticket Center, son worked at disney.com and his daughter worked in Disneyland. He told us about Walt's start with Universal and how they canned him and took his entire staff from him, after hearing his story it made me NEVER want to visit Universal, I'm Disney through and through anyway, but that sealed the deal for me. He was talking about the day Walt died and how he came home and his wife was crying and she said "our family will never know Walt" and how important that was to the Disney family that everyone knew who Walt was and that is why to this day it is called Walt Disney World instead of Disney World. He went on and on about this with details and answered lots of questions. We asked about how many staff Disney employed, he talked about the acerage and how they had recently just sold some of the outer lots to hotel developers, etc. IT was just such an interesting experience that truly made the Disney experience even THAT much more magical for us. Just makes you want to go back and go back and GO BACK as much as possible and enjoy every moment. It was neat hearing all of the background information I hadn't known or hearing more about what I did know. If you ever stay at WL, try to be flag family it is TRULY magical and memorable!

I really enjoyed reading your TR. You have got a great husband, and troopers for kids. It sounds like y'all had a great trip, even with the puking.

You actually inspired me to join the DIS Board. I have had a few bumps along the way, but everything is good now.

My family and I are going in October for our Fall Break. It will be my DD's first trip. I can't wait to see WDW through her eyes. DD is 8 and DS is 13. They are very excited. Took DS when he was 4. He doesn't remember much, and he was scared to ride several things. Now he is as tall as I am, so he will have a great time as well.

Thank you again for sharing your trip with us.

So glad you enjoyed the report and decided to join the DIS board. Have a GREAT trip in October, that should be a perfect time to visit.

Only up to page 10, but loving this TR and am subscribing so I can finish it later. Great pics, and I really like the fact that you put all your posts in one thread. I hate finding a TR that I like and then have problems finding "Day X" because it hasn't been bumped in a while.

We're planning a June 2007 trip for roughly the same days as yours, so this is helpful as far as crowds, weather, etc.

Thanks so much, glad you are enjoying it. Thanks also for keeping the thread alive, makes all the hard work worth it : )

Your daughter is absolutely cute with Prince Charming :)

Thanks. To this day she still refers to him as her "boyfriend". We are celebrating her third b-day with a princess theme (of course) in a few weeks and she is expecting him to attend. :rotfl:

Just now reading your report. It was a nice treat. I was crying, laughing, and smileing most of the morning. Thanks for taking the time to write this. I loved every minute of your trip. What a fun family you have!!!

Glad you enjoyed it! No, we've never done the cruise, I have looked into it, just so expensive. I want to when Lauren is a little older so she can be put in the childrens programs. Have you gone, what did you think?

Weird, we were there at the same time, and if you look at my address, we are both from Maineville, Ohio. Small world!!! Yeah, MGM rain was awful, but it's funny we were just talking about Disney yesterday and how we'd take the rain just to be back again. It makes for good stories and memories. Yes, my trip report goes on to the last day if you get a chance, go back and read it all, but yes our trip ended magically!!! as always! Can't wait to get back to the world in July.
