Happy Friday - I'm not a big black Friday shopper - never have been , probably won't ever be! I HATE the energy of crowds in malls. I don't like it when people come into my bubble.

We are heading to the city today to see the kids and gd. It's been way too long since we seen them - so it is time again! It is also son-in-law's birthday. So we are hoping to make it to the city in time to meet them for dinner. If not - we will be there for cake and ice cream.

I got GD advent calendar ready to go last night. I couldn't find items that were small enough to fit into the little boxes. There is really only enough room for a small chocolate. The Lindor ones fit perfectly into them. I found some little items and put them into little gift bags. On some of the chocolates I put a tag with a number and numbered each bag. Any day without an actual present - gets coins for her piggy bank! I raided Grandpa's change dish

It sounds like everyone had a great day yesterday!!!!! I whipped up butter chicken for dinner last night. It was quick and easy. And yes - it was a jarred sauce that I bought. But for those nights when I don't feel like cooking, it is a super EASY meal that is filling and it probably a favorite of the boys's. DH...not so much lol.

It's another chilly day - I guess probably more "average daily" temps for us - but still no fluffy white stuff on the ground. I'm honestly surprised we haven't had a big dump yet - besides the small skiff we had mid October. I'm sure we will pay for it in Jan/Feb - when you will hear me complain!!!!!!

Well, I should get these papers shuffled and off my desk so I can leave early today.

Yes, sales are not for us, wouldn’t entertain them, we saw the lines this morning of folks piling in, nope, not in a million years. When we came back home now, the lines are still crazy to get in the Mall…..you’d need to be nuts to find that fun!




Ormond Beach…….nice, but wouldn’t rush back except for the lunch place we found, it was lovely!

Now heading to see the parade before heading out in the car somewhere for dinner…..who knows where! Glad we didn’t do the parks, heard they were busy busy…..should be the same till Monday apparently.

The next holiday will be Christmas and most times we do a red meat for it.

We do a BYOB Christmas day. Bring Your Own Beef!
Grill out after everyone is done with family.

Got the SW passes on the Blue Friday sale and gonna punt a few jobs to January to get down a couple day.
Hope everyone has recovered from family, feast and frenzied shopping.

Schumi seems to be having a fabulous time, with warmer weather too.

Hope Keisha made it safely yesterday. Enjoy the cruise and then some park fun. Yay for holiday trip.

Ah the weekend. Heard my neighbor, as heard a voice earlier in the very early morning. It’s quiet enough then, you can clearly hear voices outside if they are near enough. Ah now loudly hearing the fire whistle. Ooh it’s a two alarm, heard another further away fire whistle. Hmm, in a few minutes should be hearing those fire trucks.

So like a weekend. Did some wash, and oddly have no eggs, so maybe we’ll head to the farm store, as have a pick up near enough near it, we’ll head that way when little one is ready to be a tag team with me. So nice to be driven around now. And cereal for us, as we do have that. Never not have tea though. Hehe.

Even though older one works the weekends, I’m glad I don’t, and truly enjoy lazy weekends. Even those that have that predawn flights leaving for some fun.

So as it’s a Saturday, the last weekend of November, hope all have a nice one, and since it’s called Small Business Saturday, maybe support a small business today.

Happy Saturday. Yesterday I did not leave the house all day. I mostly stitched while dh watched college football.
Our game is at 3:30 today, but dh will watch football all day. The Florida State/Florida game is at 7:00. B and I have decided to go to dinner and the movies tonight. Dh gets way too involved in the game and tends to get very loud.

How was the football games, Charade?

Ah that Sunday feeling. Older one came home last night, said throat felt sore, DH remarked his did too. Got out those tests. Will see if older one had to not be in work for five days or not soon enough. DH’s was negative. We waited until this morning. Time of year just virus colds and even the flu around.

And so, alarm set, and let DH toss that trash out this early morning. We are two degrees below freezing. But warmer air still around, as rain from that system giving more of us seeing snow, and rain. Glad ours is just rain, and by midnight, the rain goes North of me some rain and snow. And then that high weather system sets up, and gives us and deceasing high temp, where Tuesday and Wednesday high is 36. But as that system leaves, warmer temps brings more rain, as predicted this coming weekend. That’s okay, was going on that bus trip, but since not enough signed up to ride, no bus trip for me this coming weekend. At least I would have not enjoyed as much, if where we were going had rain too this coming weekend.

And so, a day to hear those trash cans to the curb. And a day to relax once more. Have some pick ups to do, as not want to go into many stores, even today. Drive up has worked great so far.

Super happy Sunday all. Good morning from a tea drinking homie now seeing the outdoor thermometer at 36 degrees. Yeah, pants and jackets are the outfits mostly now. With it 50 this afternoon, I can see older one, if it’s okay for him to work, will be in shorts. But not me.

How was the football games, Charade?

Both my school and dh’s school won. Both teams remain undefeated, so it was a good football day.

Older one came home last night, said throat felt sore, DH remarked his did too.

Hope both are feeling better soon.


B and I went to see the Disney movie Wish last night. It was really cute. If you see it, stay until the end of the credits. Nothing major, but worth sticking around for.

I’m thinking today might be a good day to get the winter clothes out of storage. It looks like the cooler temps are here to stay for a while.

Love your live reports and pictures, Keisha. Looks like nice enough weather, and yay for low crowds. Yum, pizza, but no mushrooms for me. Don’t like.

We waited only 20 minutes for that cookie place, went first open on a Wednesday morning.

Countdown for us is 3 past a two hand count. Squeal, hoping low crowds and warmer than normal, sun filled weather.

Ooh grabbed that cheap airfare, and only getting much higher as getting closer. Rental has been all over, scored a dollar lower, two days ago. then saw 24 dollars higher today. Sigh. But I keep checking that. And hope Movies is as nice as Sports was for us.

Ah, brunch with eggs, that I scored large ones, 18 count for $1.80. Glad to see eggs back to the lower prices they used to be. At one point, was not going to buy them for five dollars a dozen not that long ago. Add to it, home fries with cheese, peppers and onions. I made mine taters with no onions. Not a fan of onions mostly, either. Full and relaxing before wanting to do those drive ups.

lol….that waiter took the biscuit!! But, such a lovely evening, food and company was excellent, we were so glad we could schedule an evening together.

Boathouse was so lovely last night, but jeez……the crowds!!!!

Do not understand the Gideon Bakery hullabaloo……it’s a tiny room, very average cookies and completely overrated…….thank goodness Janet had the return time for us, I honestly wouldn’t wait 5 minutes to get in there…….its ONE room!!!! Biggest disappointment since Shrek 2!!!!

Disney are evil geniuses convincing people they need to line up for this place when cookies are much better elsewhere!

But thank you Janet for having the return time!

Today we did the Drag Brunch at Hamburger Mary’s……it was excellent, lots of fun and food was wonderful, we definitely want to go back to do the night time show which is more risqué for sure, next trip! Those drag queens know how to entertain!!!

Still to decide what to do later……..might get packed up a little for our move over to RP tomorrow……..

Seems lots of people, offsite usually or of day of arrivals, spend time there. The parks call me too loudly to burn much time there other than eating & Uniqlo store for hipsters in the family

Sports doesn’t rank high, most tend to love movies (often, not included in sale pricing). Pop had bus stop as far away at DS as one could imagine lol otherwise, nice for gondola. Movies my fav value as to layout & pool

Look for bounce back offer in room, still valid for 2024 dates

My Orlando shopping is mostly confined to Vineland outlets. Disney store (hit or miss), lululemon and then a breeze thru Nike & I’m outta there.

Mr snoozes & im typically be first one in doors & out to do pool time before late afternoon in parks to close them out, especially when it’s mid summer swelter

lol…..I do like that name Mellow Mushroom, sounds lovely! I do like a mushroom or two in a dish myself.

Gosh it’s been very quiet in here…..especially this early!!!!

Excited to move over to RP today, up early and hopefully get packed up and luggage dropped over there before we head to the parks, I think…..that’s the plan anyway right now.

As always it’s been a lovely stay in this suite, but time to move over…..

Ah, that Monday it is, DH has a cold, so he was quite noisy last night, and restless. Sigh. But we were both up before the alarm went off.

Last night, that rain was heavy at times. At least both my DH and one brother mowed their lawn yesterday morning. While our grass doesn’t grow much during the Fall, these below freezing nights will make it more and more dormant. I’m not sure it really needed mowing, but at least all the same level, as we heard our one next door neighbor mowed his grass the day before. So, I guess it grew enough, ever since the last mow a few weeks ago.

Ah that a damp feeling, overcast, and yay, four degrees above freezing, as tossed those last bags of trash in the cans at the curb. Soon enough the first trucks will be here in around less than an hour from now.

Back to that week day routine. Yep, hear the wail of an ambulance, on the main road near me. Ah, business day it is. And so, a wish Keisha has safe travels to port, and a most wonderful cruise. And safe travels to Disney on her arrival today. And hope all have a most Marvelous Monday.

Ooh I decided to have that lazy day Friday, so a woot as it means it’s the first day of December on this Friday. Another woot! December starts at the end of this week. I swear November is just flying by.

Quick lunchtime post. I really hated getting up and going back to work today.

I am a little annoyed with Amazon today. There is an item I want to get B for Christmas and every color is on sale today except purple which is her favorite color. I will probably go ahead and get the purple anyway since it isn’t a huge price difference. I think I have finished my Christmas shopping. Now to wait for everything to be delivered.

I have eaten so much Mellow Mushroom pizza these past few months. Our head football coach does a weekly radio show that is broadcast from Mellow Mushroom. Dh likes to go each week. This week I am getting something other than pizza.

I’m kind of surprised but I guess everyone has returned home after Thanksgiving week.

I think we have stayed at all the budget resorts except Sports. Our stay at Music was the best because we got a surprise upgrade to a suite.

I was hoping to plan a January trip, but that probably won’t happen especially if we decide to go to the bowl game. This Sunday we should know which bowl we will be playing in.
