How many school subjects did you fail?

How many school subjects did you fail?

Let's just say I attended summer school every year in high school (including the summer before starting HS and the summer "after" graduation) and I barely had enough credits to graduate.

Physics in College. A few times but different ones as I had to take several being in Health Science. Hated Physics. Nothing in high school.

I was a straight A student all through high school until Algebra in 12th grade. I just could not grasp it. I had a horrible teacher who catered to the higher kids. When I asked her to explain a problem to me, she said "I'm not going to explain it again." From then on I didn't ask for help. I passed the year with a D. If I had failed, I would not have graduated. I like to think that the teacher gave me a D out of mercy but I doubt it.

0. I did retake a few classes in college though because I wanted a better grade before apply for the masters program. If I remember right they were Linguistics and Mangerial Accounting.

1- embarrassing but it was sewing, lol. I can now sew on a button and that's about it.

I didn't fail, but there was a certain math class in college that I didn't do very well at. It was still considered passing though, so I could move on to the next class in the math sequence for my major, where I got a much better grade.

The strange thing was that in grad school we had an "applied math" requirement for my major. They were all classified as graduate level courses, but the material was 100% undergraduate level. One of the classes I took was some of the same material I didn't do well in at the undergraduate level, and I absolutely aced the class. I was talking with some of my classmates, and they said it would be extremely easy for someone who had done it before. I got much better at it the second time around.

None but I hated algebra and scraped by with a c. Funny thing was I grew up in construction and can figure square footage, tonage for conctete, etc. I just couldn't memorize those stupid formulas. My first big girl job out of high school was calculating board footage for industrial lumber on a white board, no computer. I am on 30 years in finance and can calculate returns, market values etc but still can't remember those stupid formulas.

I have no head for numbers. I mean I am *really* bad with math. So I failed geometry three times in high school before finally passing it in my senior year because we got marks for having a neat notebook. I scraped by with a low D. In my freshman year, I raised my hand to ask a question about a problem on the board because I just didn't understand it. The teacher said to me, "Now I'm going to make you feel stupid," and explained the problem in a baby-like voice and the whole class laughed. I never raised my hand in that class again. And I spent many years feeling stupid, so thanks Mr. Bosco.

Algebra 2 in high school. Got a D and F for semester grades. Retook it senior year and got As and Bs the entire time. The different teacher totally made the difference in learning the material.
