**September 2019**

We are really excited, and really scared......

We weren't planning on a trip for a few more years, but when I stumbled across the early release of FD, I made an off the cuff comment to DW and she said why not!! So all seven of us will be joining the party from Sept 9th through the 21st!!! Staying in 2 rooms at All-Star Sports!!

Celebrating two birthdays during the trip and looking forward the longest trip we have ever taken as a family!

We kind of did the same thing. DH & I did an adults-only trip for our anniversary trip in September, and didn't really plan on going back until well after GE opens. But we decided to tag along on a business trip... then FD dropped so we added days... and then his business trip got changed, so we just decided to go anyway. I'm kind of still in shock... that they released FD... that DH agreed to a trip this year... that we were able not only to book the day after they released FD, but to re-book even days later. I figured with limited availability, rooms would fill up fast. I suppose people really are waiting for GE to open?

I hope so!! With all 5 boys and just us two I am hoping for light crowds to help with not losing one of them.

Sept 21-28 Sports. We wanted movies, but since it was on the exempt list for free dining, DW choose sports. So let the count down begin!

So what "extras" are people hoping/planning to do this trip?

I am hoping for a DAH. If MK or HS is available for our dates we will do it. If only AK DAH shows up, maybe... Not sure about that one.
We're planning to Uber to Character Warehouse on Vineland. Never Ubered or gone to the outlet on a trip before.
Typhoon Lagoon. We've never done a water park before.
Mini golf. Also have never done this.
Maybe go to Animal Kingdom Lodge to wander around and possibly have lunch.
MNSSHP.

Also, I have promised DH we will sleep in more. We have gone the last 3 years so we don't have to hit every ride as many times as possible. Also, we went the same week last year (8/30-9/7) and crowd levels were GREAT. We got so much done very easily! We are definitely more night owls, so looking forward to staying out late and sleeping in!

I also promised hubby we would have a more relaxed trip rather than the cammando style I like to do. Since it's just him and I we will just move at a slower pace so his knees and foot won't give out on him. He had a accident at work 20 years ago and lost all the toes on one of his feet so sometimes standing a lot starts to bother it. Plus he has knee issues, so we will take it slow. Also he isn't a thrill ride rider so we will skip several of them or I will have to do them as a single rider. But we are okay with that. I figure he will also want to play mini golf. We always enjoy that and have never done it while at Disney. We were going to do MNSSHP but not sure now that I added another park day to our ticket. May still do it and that would be a first for us. We do plan to resort hop and check out some of the other ones. I especially wanna go check out GF. It's another dream resort. But that probably stems from Full House and the episodes where they were there and Uncle Jesse sang to Beckie. LOL

Hubby and I will be there some of the same dates you will be there. We will arrive the 14th and leave the 21st. Its a combo 25th anniversary and my birthday trip. Our anniversary is actually at the end of May but our "baby" graduates high school a few days before our anniversary so we put the trip off until my birthday week (9/17) and that gets hubby off the hook for celebrating my birthday haha!

I just can't leave well enough alone - I added a night to our stay! We're at Beach Club 9/29-10/4 and to add on there was super expensive, so we added the 28th at All Star Movies just to get there a day early! No parks, but it is my daughter's birthday, so I'm excited for that. Plus now we'll get one more breakfast in!

I am a little nervous about a split stay, even if it's just 1 night.

That's awesome. Its a great day for a birthday. Are you thinking of planning anything special for your day? So far, I plan to spend mine in MK, but not sure where I'll want to eat yet. I just know I want to be in my favorite park on my actual birthday.

I’m not sure yet, but hopefully Epcot with dinner at the Biergarten, or the day at MK finishing at BOG. It all depends on the schedule for MNSSHP. But hey, I’ll be in Disney for my bday so it will be great no matter what!!

haha, I always promise my husband a more relaxed trip and never follow through with it. This year we a splurging on our resort choice so I am MAKING our family take breaks in the middle of the day to go back and enjoy the pool/resort.

I am a little nervous about a split stay, even if it's just 1 night.
Last month (December) we did two nights at Universal staying at Portofino. Then six nights at WDW......two at AKL, two at Contemporary, and two at Poly. Disney makes it super super easy to do split stays! Just go to the park of your choice the morning of the switch and take your bags to Bell Services of the resort you just stayed at. They will move them for you to the new resort. If you didn't want to go to a park right away and wanted to swim at the new resort then pack a small bag with your suit and whatever you think you might need in the first half of your day at the new resort. We learned that the hard way. You wont see your bags for several hours while they transfer them. ONce you are in your new room just call Bell Services and they will arrange to bring up your bags! We had MNSSHP on the first day of our stay at Poly and before we left for MK our bags still hadn't arrived from Poly but Bell Services is open round the clock and at 12:30 am they brought our bags to our room! I love split stays if only for the opportunity to check out other resorts!

Added to roll call :thumbsup2
We ended up at Music last year even though we wanted Movies too. They are so close we just walked over for a visit and saw all three. Not so different being at one instead of the other and definitely worth taking advantage of free dining!

The mini golf is fun and 4 games free with the 'magical extras' card you get when you book a package. On my last trip it was just my bff and I and we visited GF, not sure if it was because we went when the Gingerbread house was up but WOW was it busy! Fun to check out though!

I have done one night before our 'real' trip and it is worlds easier than a split stay mid trip imo. How old is your daughter? Getting to arrive in Disney on your birthday is pretty darn magical

She’ll turn 8 and she’s so excited now that we’ll be there on her birthday! My other daughter’s birthday is 2 weeks earlier (turning 6) and so we can celebrate that too! And on our last trip last month we were there for my husband’s birthday. I already told him we’re going on my 40th birthday in a couple years, staying at the Grand Floridian, and eating at Victoria & Albert’s!

Nice! My best fried and I went for our 40th but since our bdays are a few months apart we went between the two. We stayed deluxe with deluxe dining but no V&A - maybe I will add that to the list for when I turn 50 ;)

No park plans - good day to pool hop between the three All Stars and enjoy the resort. A mini birthday cupcake crawl at the 3 food courts ?!:cake:

Dh and I will be celebrating our 25 year anniversary, too!
Our actual anniversary is in June, but that didn't work out for a trip.

Aug31- Sept 5 trip with my Mom and daughter. Mom lost Dad recently and want to take her away, daughter lives in FL, so a chance for us to all meet up. Kidani Village at AKL for us. Daughter is a DVM
