My gut says if that Hollywood Studios rumor is true it will mean the end of EMM at MK, temporarily at least. Unless they’re going to start treating EMM like morning EMH, picking different parks on different days.
I don’t think so. How they did it before,DHS was on Saturdays. EMM is obviously a money maker as it’s almost completely sold out for August already.

I hope you’re right. We loved EMM when we went last month and would hate to see it leave MK.

Finally got my call about the 11/25 EMM! Was in a store shopping, saw it was from Florida and knew it was Disney! Switched to the 11/27 date. Also asked if he could do anything about moving an ADR on another day that was now messed up because of me having to switch a bunch of days around. It was no problem! Love that Disney magic! Very nice CM.

Glad it worked out for you and that you finally got the call! Geez wonder how many people they had to go through?

Does your last name start with Z or something? :-)

Glad you got everything worked out.

I’ve been keeping an eye on November purely out of fascination with this entire situation, and noticed that 11/18 is no longer bookable. I suppose it could be sold out since there are no other Sundays available, but there were spots available yesterday so it’s a bit odd. Not to scare anyone- just putting the facts out there! I am thinking it’s sold out and not cancelled, but who knows.

I tried to book 11/18 a few days ago and it would not go through. Then I noticed that it's sold out. I was wondering what happened. I'm hoping four spots magically appear because that would be a great way to start a birthday :)

We went to EMM this morning and had a great time despite a slightly rocky start. I know my family doesn’t like to stand and wait too long before opening, so I decided that the 7:12 am bus from Pop Century that was due to arrive at MK at 7:28 would be fine. The bus arrived on time but took an unusually long time to load a scooter and also to drive to MK. We arrived about 7:37 am. Bag check was long. We arrived to the check in area to get our bands at 7:42. We were told that they were no longer doing that and we had to go to the back of the regular entrance lines to enter and we’d be able to get our bands inside the park. When we got to the woman checking for reservations on the left side of the castle, she scanned our MagicBands and didn’t know what Early Morning Magic was. She said that we were in the wrong place. I could see the person passing out wrist bands up ahead and pointed her out. Someone else came to check our MagicBands and told us we needed to get wristbands at the front of the park. I again pointed out the person up ahead with a handful of wristbands, and I was finally let through. When we got to the woman with the wristbands, she said they were supposed to tell her that we had EMM, but she believed me and gave us bands. Yay!!!

We rode Peter Pan as a walk-on. Then we went to SDMT for five rides with just a short wait each time. We grabbed a croissant each and rode Pooh once, one more Mine Train, and one more Peter Pan. It was almost 9:00 by then, so we waited to head toward Frontierland. Haunted Mansion was down for a few hours this morning, so we couldn’t do that. We had to wait for a second rope drop in Frontierland and headed to Splash. The plan was Splash and Big Thunder before heading back to breakfast, but Splash stopped for several minutes (long enough that lights came on in the dark section we were in), so we didn’t want to risk missing breakfast and headed over once we got off Splash. Breakfast was good, and there was still plenty when we got there (9:50?) It was a very good start to the day.

I had originally planned to do EMM and then hop to AK, since it’s my daughter’s last day. Last night, she decided that we’d seen everything at AK, and she’d rather stay at MK after EMM. I’m glad that we did (even though that meant dropping FoP FP+ last night). I was able to get FP+ for Space, Splash, and Big Thunder. We’re back at the room now getting her ready for ME pick-up :( but there’s a storm rolling through, so it’s good to be here.

We did EMM this morning (08/12). It was smooth, fun, and well worth it.
We are staying offsite and I’ll explain the experience from this point of view. I didn’t see a lot of info for offsite guests about this and was worried about morning transportation from TTC, but as you’ll see it was smooth and well run.

We were at the parking lot entrance at 7am. No one was there so we just went on by, getting free parking in the preferred section. Good start.
We parked our car, and walked to TTC. There were no trams at the parking lot, but it was a very short walk so probably faster than the tram. Went through security quickly. At TTC, we were told that only the resort monorail was working, so we took that. 2 stops and the third we were at MK. This was 7:20 am. To the left side we were scanned and given the EMM wrist bands. We waited till exactly 7:45 am and were let in. This is the only part that I think needs to improve. For EMM we should be able be in early at FL before 7:45.

We walked to Peter Pan, rode twice then went to 7DMT rode once, then once Winnie the Pooh, then back to mine train and rode that 5 more times. Then we rode carrousel. Then back to PP and rode that once more before heading over to jungle cruise at 9. That was a mistake. Posted time for jungle cruise was 10 mins. It took more like 40 total, at rope drop. The boats took a while to get started. I would suggest to head somewhere else after EMM. We had to get back to breakfast because it was about 9:40. The buffet was still good and being replenished. We ate like we’ve never seen food before after all the walking and playing. The food was great. We even took some chicken sausages and pastries to go. Then we left and went on with our day and fast passes.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It sounds like precisely what I hope to accomplish. I had planned on heading to JC at 9. Hopefully today was a fluke, but I’ll have a contingency plan!

My wife won't go on JC. That ride has backfired time-wise on us a few times... so much so that she's put a permanent no on it. :-)

Interesting! I’ve had good luck rope dropping the last two times - once in an EMM day (I didn’t participate in EMM). It’s usually a one and done for me per visit, though. Unless it’s Christmas and I feel compelled to see both Jungle/Jingle Cruise.

Yeah - I'm sure we all have our irrational Disney quirks / habits - and JC is it for us. It dates back to our first trip. The wait time said 15 minutes and it ended up being like 40. It was the morning and I think I caught it just as crowds were building / sign hadn't really updated. Anyway, I was the one that wanted to give it a try - so that 40 min wait has always been 'my fault.' Add to that another time with a longer-than-normal FP wait and she's done.

Have to go on it when it's only me and the kids! :-)
