Is SB tracking absolutely humming along for anyone else? I’m consistently getting the track 2 days after purchase & then bonus points that day or the next. I feel like they’re luring me into a trap!

Just saw my Kroger has a digital coupon for 4X fuel rewards on gift cards for 4/25-4/28. There's a separate coupon for 4x on Visa and Mastercard gift cards as well for the same dates.

Edit to add - Looks like they have some other coupons for gift cards as well. I saw hotels.com, petco, xbox, and a few resturaunts. Mostly $5 off when you buy 2, but every little bit helps!

We've been doing the SB Best Buy purchases and it's been working well. The only issue seems to be finding BB stores that have enough of the cards in stock to buy. Using the SB's we earn to get Target GC's to convert to Disney GC's and using those as spending money. When purchasing the gift cards at BB, we're using the Chase Disney Visa. By my math it's around a 13% savings factoring in the SB promotion, shop & earn, and Visa. And that's not inclusive of earning the BB rewards for the purchases.

And yes.... it feels like a trap.

You reminded me to check on Acme. They did put another Visa/MC coupon out there but it's not as good as the last ones. Acme (and most likely other Safeway brands) have one for $10 off $150 in MC GC's but variable load is excluded Second coupon is the same deal for Visas. So this one will actually cost you 90 cents each.
Debating about doing it anyway because I'll earn more than that in CC rewards this quarter but I don't want to encourage this sort of coupon in the future either!

DH has a new vehicle with a 36 gallon gas tank, vs the 16 gallon tanks we both had. So I could only calculate fuel savings on about 13 gallons. Now I can go off 28-30 gallons, which makes this a better plan then Swagbucks/Best Buy.

That's how we used to be. For awhile we just had 1 car with a 16 gallon tank so the fuel savings were never worth it. A co-worker bought a new truck and the dealership wasn't giving him anything for his old one so he sold it to us for a really good deal. Now with 2 vehicles with large tanks we've been taking advantage of these when they come around. Now if only gas prices would go down!

Slightly off topic question. I think I remember that if I buy a Kroger gift card I don't earn fuel points, but I can use the gift card at Kroger's gas station? Do you have to go to the employee to use it or can you swipe it at the pump?

We swipe at the pump. But it does take a bit after purchase for it to "activate" and be ready to use. I'll usually buy my gc first. Then shop before heading out to get gas.

Thanks. Might do that to max out Discover/Freedom. It's better than the 3% card DH has currently. And I don't have anything special to use for gas.

We do the fuel points gift card thing at Kroger, but there is usually more we need to pay, so we'll pay that balance with the Kroger gift card. I'm thinking we'll do a combo of Kroger gift cards, Aldi gift cards, and Visa gift cards to max out the Discover/Freedom quarter.

Also keep in mind with your calculations that unless his driving habits change it'll mean less trips to get fuel too. Hubby's car has the bigger tank so we use our fuel points for his car but with typical driving he only gets fuel once a month now. So we have to pay attention to expiration dates and make sure we time a full tank before the points expire.

So we have to pay attention to expiration dates and make sure we time a full tank before the points expire.

Good point, I'll have to keep an eye on it! I've still got 700 points I need to use by the end of this month, and have earned 570 so far this month. I just looked and he usually fills up 5 times a month, so it will be interesting to see how this changes.

I bought (2) $50 Disney cards yesterday using 2 QR codes and I keep obsessively checking my SB account. I haven't received an e-mail yet, but I am hopeful that it will show up tomorrow. The receipts both show that it tracked so I do not anticipate any problems, but I still get so impatient.
