Disney Steakhouse comparison

Just watched the DFB steakhouse video comparison and now I'm wondering about pricing.

The 4 steakhouses were:
Le Cellier
Shulas
Yachtsman
STK

If you had to rank them from cheapest to most expensive how would the ranking go? And any idea of a price range for dinner for 2? Somebody commented on the video that it would cost $250 for dinner at Shulas...if that's the case, that's a little too pricey for me!

Anyway, thanks for your comments and insights on value and price at these steakhouses

Do you have a link to the video? I don't know what DFB stands for.
As far of the price ranking goes it's needed to know what was included in each meal (appetizer, entree, sides for instance) to come by the average cost.

Dinner for 2 at Le Cellier last month was almost $200 with tip. This was a filet, a ribeye, a cheddar cheese soup and I think 2 beers and one cocktail.

Shula's and Yachtsman are going to be similarly priced. Steaks at both are $50+ each, apps are in the $18-20 range, soups and salads $12-15. Most of the entrees at Yachtsman do include a side whereas at Shula's all are a la carte and any sides are extra. Desserts, drinks, wine, etc. will add more.

Value/price? Very difficult to rank since everybody's opinion of value is different, as is their taste. I'd rate YSH on the top of this list, with Shulas close behind. Haven't tried STK. Le Cellier would be a distant 4th.

I never order steak in a restaurant. I can buy aged prime rib eye for about $20 a pound at my local grocery store. And my DH cooks it to perfection. I just can’t spend $200 for a meal that might be as good as what I can have at home for a fraction of the cost.

I have no problem spending money on a great meal - we usually eat at Commander’s Palace in New Orleans about twice a month. But a steak is so easy to replicate at home.

That's a nice story, but has nothing to do with the OP's question...unless your husband is willing to meet the OP at WDW and cook him a steak.

We prefer Shula's over the others you listed.

Thanks, ENJDisneyFan. Found it and watched it.

It's a bit of work to do a true cost evaluation (add the cost of all apps and divide by amt of offerings; do same for entrees, drinks and desserts) although you could merely add up the cost of the exact same meal at each restaurant but I'll be honest, like a PP, I'm more interested in the place that has the best perceived quality or bang for the buck.

Since I've eaten at Shula's and STK in other parts of the country no need for me to do it again with so many new opportunities at WDW. We fell in love with Boathouse and after eating there 3 times have decided it's time to try another thus next trip it will be Yachtsman.

I didn't realize the steakhouses were quite so expensive!

I was thinking like $100 for dinner for 2, And now that I know Shulas and STK are chain restaurants, I'll go for Le Cellier or Yachtsman.

Thanks for the feedback!

Just us... been to every Steakhouse at WDW, several times, over 24 visits in 12 years. Including one not listed: Bull&Bear.

Our rankings...

1) Shula's
2) Yachtsman
3) Bull & Bear
4) Le Cellier
5) STK

Yup, we are aware that the Bull&Bear ranking will create vitriol :). Shula's remains our go-to, for both steak AND lobster.
NO DDP - TIW accepted....

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

I've not been to STK, but it received a rave review from another Dis'Board 'regular'......

3.) Le Cellier - the room is dark, the steak/filet is meh. Cheddar soup is unappetizing to my palate.
2.) Yachtsman - steaks are very good and plates come with sides. If on Disney Dining Plan, this is a good choice.
1.) Shula's - I may have had the 'best ribeye ever' (and I used to eat at Peter Lugar's, Smith & Wollensky, and Ruth's Chris regularly) this past Christmas. Sizable lobsters are better value here than Narcoossee's. The chocolate souffle is a must!

All are similar in price, as already mentioned.
Low end would be $40 entree and non-alcoholic beverage for about $100 + T/T.
For two steaks ($100), shared app ($20), shared salad ($15), shared dessert ($10) and two NA drinks ($6), total with tax and tip ~$200.
