DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Evidently the contractor funds are from a different bucket. Did I mention I love bean counters.
Sounds like they've moved you to the Capex side from the Opex. One of the firms I worked tried to do this to me, so I totalled up me being charged contractor day rate (with all the extras and the out of hours stuff I was doing for free), as I'd lost all my other privileges (Pension, Sick Pay, Notice period) and went and saw my MD. He changed his mind in a real hurry. Its always a really short term measure to account cash. As you say Doc, classic bean counting move.

Morning sir, hope your day goes smoothly. Moody weather over here this morning, so kids are on the lego and the gaffer has ordered some cinnamon buns from me.

Good morning everyone. Up early this morning to run some errands before football starts. Hate running around on Saturday during the season and I gave up to watch the pregame shows. Screw the stuff I didn't get done. Gators play at S. Carolina and there is not much hope radiating from Gator Nation. Who knows. Some great games on today so am looking forward to the day.

GO GATORS and GO IRISH. Hope you have a great Saturday.

Glad you enjoyed time with your friends. And yes, Cracker Barrel does a decent enough breakfast. I like their chicken fried chicken breakfast with the milk gravy, along with the biscuits and gravy.

When I park my RV in your yard, I'll make ya some real southern biscuits and gravy that's smack your momma good.

Almost went to CB this morning but got another hour of sleep instead.

Happy 10th Anniversay DISDad CLub!

Happy Anniversary to those of us who are keeping the tradition alive.

Morning folks. Busy days ahead but done Monday.

Good luck, may it go by quickly and painlessly.

Home made or home made at the store. I must be hungry because all I'm thinking about are biscuits and sausage gravy, clotted cream and now cinnamon buns. Later today I will attempt to make buffalo style chicken strips instead.

A sunny but cold Remembrance Day over here.

Thanks to all of you who have served.

On a personal note special thanks to my then newly immigrated Grandfather who served and was wounded in WWI, my Father who landed in Normandy a few days after D-Day and marched through France and Germany, and my older brother who was a medic in Vietnam. Oh and probably some members on my Mother's side of the family who fought on the losing side in, depending on your viewpoint, the Civil War or the War of Northern Aggression.

From scratch mate.

We have buffalo wings and Steak fajitas for dinner.

I need a college team to adopt.

Thirded on this, and to my Granddad who went through Europe with Monty as part of the 8th Army, and my other Granddad who was with the Marines in Egypt. My mum still has the letters my Gdad sent to my Nan from the front.

Have a great day fellas, enjoy the games.

Morning all. Another cold morning, and looks like more cold weather is on the way.

As for the biscuits & gravy, the best place to get the proper South'rn version of that would be my wife's kitchen.
Mmmmmmmm...

Sounds good. I'm on my way.

Replying on my tablet, so mutliquoting is tough.
I'm still losing some money, but will have more free hours as well (part time), so I'm not concerned. I really could have gone several months without a paycheck, but this will help fund Disney in FEB. Part of me wants to be pissed because if they really need me (they do), just keep me on, but it seems to be all an accounting game where supposedly they make their end of year numbers. Evidently the contractor funds are from a different bucket. Did I mention I love bean counters. On the other hand, it's a blessing because I can take as much vacation as I want during thanksgiving or Christmas and I don't need anyone's approval.

When I park my RV in your yard, I'll make ya some real southern biscuits and gravy that's smack your momma good.

Maybe some silver lining. Enjoy the time off.

Happy 10th Anniversay DISDad CLub!

10 years of fun. I've been around for most of them.

Morning sir, hope your day goes smoothly. Moody weather over here this morning, so kids are on the lego and the gaffer has ordered some cinnamon buns from me.

Cinnamon's buns are nice. But, that's not your wife's name. :lmao:

I must really want to be a runner. It was -1 today and I still got my run in, even upped my distance to 6Km in just under 39 minutes.

Morning boys from a grey London. Off to Remembrance Sunday service in our High St, where we all gather around our memorial. Then Roast Pork for lunch, and as it’s Ma round for dinner, the red wine stash is going to take an absolute battering.

Have a great day y’all.

'Morning all...
Good traveling yesterday.
Got to see the young'en's last performances with the POTM and the post game revelries.
Some very emotional moments were had.

Imagine that...

I need a college team to adopt.
I think I'll look at the other 129 teams......
I'm rather partial to an iffy little division-II team that is dificult to find on anybody's cable channel and likely ain't making the playoffs (but the band is one of the best in the nation).
Just sayin'

Although...
they will actually get some marginal coverage next week as we play one of our annual automatic losses to a division-I school to burnish their record and pay for every other sport back at home. This year we get to loose to UNC (but given the way that the Tar Heels have been playing this might be one of those instances where the little school could eek out an unexpected and potentially embarrassing win).

Sounds good. I'm on my way.
Send us a text when you about an hour or two out so we can start up a fresh batch and have it ready when you get here.

I must really want to be a runner.
It's a more noble asperation then a number of mine are...

Morning gents. Haven’t read a thing.
Then you may be a fairly smart man.

Work calls!
And you answered?
Now I'm not so sure about that last observation...

Who is making the coffee?
That's my job.
There's still a bit left in the pot but you may have to fight the Missus for it.

Afternoon gents. Disappointing day for the Gators again this week. On one play they intercepted what should have gone for a pick-six but the guy fumbled on the 1 yard line which was returned for 20 yards. It's been that kind of year. Some interesting games the rest of the day with a few surprise results. The Dolphins play Monday so I get to watch either the Bills or Jets play. Golly Gee I'm excited. Hope everyone enjoys your Sunday.

I must really want to be a runner. It was -1 today and I still got my run in, even upped my distance to 6Km in just under 39 minutes.

That is dedication.

I think I'll look at the other 129 teams......

IF you are looking long term, I'd wait until they name their new coach. I like Oklahoma this year so that is probably the kiss of death for them.

Looks like you have a great one planned. I'm re-imagineering leftover pork roast to go with mashed potatoes and gravy with steamed broccoli. Alas, no red wine.

Who is making the coffee?

Kona Cafe...

Randal likes his Kona Cafe coffee.

Glad you had a good time. I'm sure it was emotional for all the seniors and their friends and family.
