I am so excited for you!! I hope the month flies by! I really did not see a lot of characters together at all, Daisy and Donald being no exception. I don't character hunt though, so don't give up hope! You could always take two pictures of them separately and then photoshop them together!

Hmmm, the fun is largely in the experience of seeing them together, so photoshopping it just wouldn't be the same. I see, so Maelstrom will be gone, no Donald and Daisy together, and the Poly is all torn up from construction. Well, I'll do my best to have a good trip anyway! Looks like you guys did.

I am a fan of FP+ just for the reason you cited - you don't have to get to the parks early and you can still get on your top choice of rides

I kinda think that Disney's view of the future is yesterday's take on tomorrow - so retro music kinda does fit at the Contemporary (and know I have Savage Garden stuck in my head )

We visited the Poly for dinner one night last trip and it is pretty sad when you arrive and see all the construction walls and no lobby waterfall, etc. I'm excited for some of the changes (Trader Sams ) but I too had a tear in my eye when we first arrived

I don't remember those cards at WCC. That's is a nice idea to give families the option of participating in the antics or not although it doesn't sound like it works 100%.

So yeah the Banana Bread French Toast looks great. I wish we were able to squeeze in more breakfast meals on our trips.

Isn't a life where someone can just jump in the shower and the other can hop a boat to the Contemporary for coffee the best?

So far, WOW you've been lucky getting right ahead of the rain. The Poly refurb seems to have ripped its heart out; I hope they have big plans to add some heart back in there.

I'm like you - I want my HM bag NOW!! I go in October and they BETTER have those bags when I'm there! (If not, I know which one I'm getting anyway.)

I couldn't believe how lucky we were with the rain! Sometimes it really felt like a race that we kept winning!

Poly heart...that is such a good description. The Waterfall and lobby smell was important to me. I will just have to keep the faith it will be replaced with new heart!

I hope the new HM bags are out when you are there!!

Ah!!! Finally catching up (my cat is watching me type this, so I guess she is too). Great report so far. I gotta find the photo booth when I go in February.

I haven't done a character meal since I was 11, totally got me interested in pictures with characters.

Are you anxiously looking for poly pricing rumors too?

My cat often tries to get my attention when I am reading TRs. Actually, she tries to get my attention when I do anything!

I really like buffets (I like to pig out on vacations, very healthy of me) so I kind of had to put up with the characters on the last trip. However, I started getting into it when at Crystal Palace!

I am never too optimistic about Poly prices! I did hear there was a travel agency (check the Poly Dis thread) that was offering a great discount for next August.

I remember being upset that the Hub was going to be all torn up, that the whole backyard of WL was going to be torn up, and that the Monorail hours were reduced. I think I am just so happy when I am there, all of that stuff just ends up not mattering!

ROB!!! You are back!!! I loved following along your trip through FB. You were so sweet to take all those pictures for everyone. If you took one for me it would have been like you holding up a plate of LTT stuffing...which would of just been awkward.

I am using Flickr this time for photos, so Will gets more fun disguises!

I had been planning out our MNSSHP costumes the second I booked the trip. I had lots of ideas, but I knew it was going to be hot and this excludes most costumes (no wigs, no make-up, no capes...ect).

I decided our first night we would go as the Blank Vinylmation couple!

I would be “Bow” while Will would be “Blank”.

Will would just have to wear white shorts, white shirt, bowtie and White Mickey ears I made him. However, just hours before the party, he says he is just not feeling it. I think it was the ears that scared him. He said he would rather “ease into” the party with a more subtle costume. On our second MNSSHP we were going to go as Mickey and Minnie (I know...how original). His outfit for this was really more just Disney Bounding, red shorts, black shirt and his yellow tennis shoes. The last thing I wanted was for him to feel uncomfortable, so we changed it up and tonight we would be Mickey and Minnie!

I love love love my Minnie ears! I got them from Etsy. The ghosts glow in the dark!

We were ready to meet those hitchhiking ghosts!

I did not want to waste a drop of park time and since you can enter at 4pm, I made a 4:20pm ADR for Tony’s Town Square. We hopped on the boat, passing Monorail Red, my favorite.

The last time we went, it was late October, and we sat on the patio to eat dinner. This was so fun because you could see everyone coming in in their costumes.

Welllll, early September it is a wee bit warmer than late October. We asked to sit on the patio and we were the only ones out there for a while!

We got the house bread.

And we each got the house salad

Our Waitress was really awesome and she made some great vegetarian suggestions. We got the spaghetti but added mozzarella cheese so it was like a baked spaghetti. I ended up contacting guest relations about her to put in a compliment for her.

We were full, but still pretty warm (my fault for wanting the patio!). We had to get to FL for 7DMT as I had a FP that I was not giving up!! I am so glad we made it as we both felt the second time around was a lot better. We were in the last row, so maybe it was faster? I think just having the right expectation level was helpful.

There was a dad and a little boy waiting behind us. His sister had told him the “witch was going to be on the ride” and he was really scared. He says “what if I have to sit next to her?!”. His dad says, “the witch is not actually allowed to ride the ride.” The little boy asks why and his dad says “Because Walt Disney wouldn’t let her”. I just loved this conversation.

The Snow White witch, banned from riding her own ride by Walt Disney since 1971.

After the ride, we decided to stick around in NFL. I had never actually been in Gaston’s Tavern, and eventhough I was not in the mood for Cinnamon rolls or Pork shank (odd combo!) I wanted to check out all those antlers used in his decccooorrrating.

Curiosity satisfied, we waited at the FL train station to board the train to Frontierland! What can I say, we like the train!

And yes, I had to hold that pose until the train came by!!

Once dropped off at Frontierland, we made the short walk to BTMR!

Now it was about this point that my eyes started to bother me. To this day, I have no idea what was going on, but they were really sore and irritated and my nose was running. Will had contacts in and he said his eyes were really bothering him also. We decided to power through and see if a Pumpkin Waffle Sundae would help!

While tasty, I did not really think there was any pumpkin in the waffle. And while satisfying, my eyes were getting worse!

But, I was not ready to retreat!! Must...keep...having...fun….

I thought an Under the Sea adventure would help wash away the irritation.

Outside of the ride was a PP who was doing Sebastian Magic Shots! Will is getting to be a pro at the Magic Shots.

Up next, I wanted a picture with Ariel. Now, let me know what you guys think. I made a sign that said “See ya real soon” and my niece’s name on it. I was hoping Ariel could hold it up for her for a picture (as she is going in May and is a huge Ariel fan). Ariel’s “handler” says I would have to be in the picture and I would have to be the one to hold up the sign. No big deal.

But the picture never got added to my MM! Maybe signs are not allowed?

On the way out of FL, we took a quick trip to Neverland.

And a pit stop for ice cream again!

Again, all the ice cream in the world was not helping my eyes. I just wanted to get a hot wash cloth and wrap my eyeballs in comfort. Will was supportive leaving as well, so even though there was still time left in the party, we headed out. But not without a few last pics!

We at least got to see the Electrical Water Pageant, some of the MGM Frozen Fireworks, as well as some of Hallowishes from the boat.

Once back in the room, I showered and flushed out my eyes for like an hour. I still had a really hard time falling asleep with the pain. I was so glad we had another shot at another MNSSHP!

I just hoped I could see the next day!

Well I have to say I am not dissappointed in your costumes at all!!! I loved them!!! I actually like the ones you chose for the party better! Although the blank and bow was VERY creative

I tried to get and ADR there on my MNSSHP night but nothing was ever avaliable. I would have liked to sit on the porch like you suggested. I arranged my meets and greets instead. I did however get a ADR there on my 2nd MK day

I do not think you ride pictures are blurry at all. How do you do that??? Mine are way blurry all the time. What setting to you use on your camera. Do you mess with the ISO at all? I just set it in automatic without the flash so may be that is why.

On our trip I Disney bound as Ariel so the photographer attempted to do the Sebastian Magic Shot. I was sooooo excited and could not wait to see it when we got home. Instead there in my hand was chip. Guess I will have to try that one again.

I keep debating on that pumkin waffle. Everyone swears by it. Is the middle part ice cream then?

I am so sorry about your eyes. It makes it very hard when you are hurting. Is another MNSSHP in your future then? If you were in central Illinois when that happened I would say it is the dust from the farmers and crops. You can not live in central Illinois and NOT have alergies.
