Following this. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's planning to be on point with the diet for a few months ahead of the trip in order to justify a week of unhealthy splurging.

Disney is such a powerful incentive for me! It is so much easier for me to turn down that extra helping of something if I can say "well in Disney I am going to have cookie ice cream sandwiches, cupcakes....ect". Now I am back though and having to find other ways to encourage me to get back on the healthy path! You are definitely not the only one who enjoys the unhealthy splurge!!

You should do a TR after your upcoming trip and take some pictures of those Mickey waffles!! You do sometimes get funny looks from others as you snap pictures of your food though!

No way! We went Trail riding on the 14th, at 2:30pm. That would have been quite a coincidence if we were there at the same time. If you guys were, then you remember how hot it was!!

That map is definitely a mixed blessing! Fun to look at once you fly past Jacksonville. Otherwise it feels like you are moving at a snail's pace!

If you remember from my first (and only) experience with CL in May, I had really high hopes and was pretty disappointed:

This whole trip I had low expectations for CM interactions and friendliness. However, I felt this go around, the CMs as a whole seemed to be a much happier and pleasant bunch!

When we entered the lobby, there was no CM to greet us, but we were greeted by the amazing lobby!

We easily found a CM and were escorted to the 7th floor in a jiffy!

The CMs were all so freakin’ nice! I mean like, big smiles, lots of Howdy’s. A total 180 experience from Poly. Now, this could be due to many factors. My guess is that the census was really low. The pool was closed and I know a lot of people changed resorts because of this. When I got the letter saying the pool would be closed, I called guest relations and got $50 off a night (thanks to Disboard members giving me the heads up!). This was in addition to the 25% off and free MM package. The loud kid pool activities are not my favorite, so being at the WL sans pool, was awesome. There was never a wait anywhere in the hotel. At one point there were like 5 CMs at the CL check in desk, just smiling and asking me how my day was going.

Anyway, the 7th floor is pretty high up there! The railing comes up high enough so you don’t feel like you will fall over, but I know I would (unnecessarily) feel paranoid if I had little ones with me.

Not only was the CM who checked us in super friendly, but he also let us know our room was ready! It was facing the MK and closest to the CL lobby as you can on that side. Perfection!

I added a little window decal to Halloweenie the place up.

We were able to clean up a little, apply some more sunscreen and get ready to head out!

My first outfit of the trip was a re-do from the May trip. See, the last trip I Disney Bounded as Snow White...thinking I would maybe get to ride 7DMT during a soft opening. No such luck.

Well this time I had a FP, so let’s try this again.

BTW, I have like 200 leftover mini apple stickers (ya can’t buy just 8 of them). If there is a teacher DISer out there or someone else who may want them, PM and I will gladly mail them!

After a few minutes, we were ready to head downstairs to take the ferry to MK.

Fair warning, this trip is heavy on MK!

Will breezed through the no bag line while I had my old trusty backpack checked.

It is funny to see Halloween decorations when it is 90+ degrees!

I am debating in this picture if we should wait in line for a PP picture (look at that fun family!) but decided against it.

Once we entered Main Street, there was not too much time to pirouette with joy. Our 1st FP, for 7DMT was closing in on us! However, I needed to make a stop in Uptown Jewelers first. Will made me a fan of fancy purses as he talked me into get one on the last trip (http://www.seatbeltbags.com/disney-convertible-clutch-pop-art-mickey.html). And I love it! My ultimate goal though is one of the new Haunted Mansion bags that the DisneyBlog said would be coming out in “the fall”. They are going to offer more than the one big tote. I wanted the smaller cross body bag. When we went in to see about getting one, the CM though told us that they had not come in yet.

Wahhhh! I want my bag now!!!

Tantrum over, we made it to 7DMT.

I would not allow myself to watch any ride videos for 7DMT. I even tried to avoid seeing pictures!! So it was a completely new experience.

For a frequent WDW visitor it is fun to be able to go on a ride for the first time! We ended up riding it 3 times over the whole trip. I’ll let you know I found myself liking it more with each time. This first time though, I was shocked with how quick it was!!! I could not imagine waiting in a 90 minute line for a what, 90 second ride? And after my trip to “the darkside” this summer, I know what imagineers could be capable of.

Our next order of business was to get our ye old grub on! Off to one of my favorites!

There were a couple reasons why I wanted to eat at LTT this day. One was that our meal at our wedding was very similar to LTT fare. Stuffing, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes. And well, I also wanted to try the Ooey Gooey Toffee cake that is not available at dinner time!

We both got the Patriot Platter with Mac and Cheese instead of the meat.

And spllt heavenonearth, the Ooey Gooey cake!

This was an incredibly satisfying meal!!! If you love carbs as much as I do, LTT is the way to go!

It was then just a short, not so scary, jaunt over to our next FP, and my absolute favorite ride, Haunted Mansion!!!

I thought this was kind of funny. This woman does not travel light! Even her Duffy, Lady Duffy? had to peak out for room.

Soon we made our way in to the dead center.

I know everyone has their favorite rides for different reasons. I just think the HM is so amazing as a lot of the technology is old, but still leaves you wondering how they do it! And it is a fairly long ride (compared to 7DMT at least!).

While in the HM, I had that first moment of suddenly realizing I am in Disney. It just hits me “Holy Moley I am sitting in a Doombuggy right now in the Haunted Mansion!!”. I’ll usually have a couple of moments like that throughout a trip!

So glad that the CM's are making up for your negative experience last trip - and yeah for your room being ready!

I agree that 7DMT is great - but short. If it was like 30 secs. longer with just one more cool aspect or spin or something it would perfect. Still pretty darn good and just nice for all the construction in Newish Fantasyland to be done!

While I love some of the newer attractions the 2 rides I must go on each drip to The World are Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise - just classic Disney and feel like rides you wouldn't find anywhere else

I think that is how WDW really gets you! There is always something you have not tried yet! And these experiences usually mean forking over more money. I fall for it every time!

Hey! Thanks for following along again. We were so full after lunch we thought we would end up just taking a few bites of the cake between us. This turned into a dueling match to the end with our forks.
