There's still a 3 way tie between Cynthia, Tim and Amanda. I might have to make a tie breaker round for the end. :confused3:confused3:confused3

There's only 3 more after this, so make the most of them. They are going to come fast, so don't blink! The 250 page limit for threads is coming up quickly, and I want to get this game wrapped up before we hit that, so we can start with a clean slate (whatever THAT means around here). :lmao:

I had the BEST meal there EVER in Feb 05 with my roommates. The BEST service EVER. I think we left 100 dollars on a 256 tab. It was so good.

That is sooooooo encouraging. Seriously with all the hype and frenzy I've buried myself in, I hope it delivers and disappointment isn't looming.

I'd have loved to have been your server that night!!! Are you sure that a couple bottles of wine didn't color your generosity?? :lmao:

I think his name was Scott... or Steve...it started with a S.

As I remember I don't think we had that much to drink with dinner. I'm not big on wine anyway...

Honestly, the food is probably something you'd fine in any nice restaurant across America, certainly not at a chain restaurant though. It's everything combined together--the atmosphere, the location, the view, the service, the food, being on vacation....it's really a nice way to spend an evening.

When completely full, it can get noisy. Also there's no way to guarantee a window seat. In fact, out of 4-5 visits, I think we've been seated along the windows once. It's still great.

If it was 2005, I doubt he'd be there. :confused3 I'll ask for an S server though, just in case.

Seems like the perfect ingredients for a perfect evening. I'm pretty sure, as I told Jenbear the other day, I'm going to get the cheese platter, some sushi, and MAYBE a main course?? Wine for sure! and dessert, but haven't decided on the dessert. That will be a game time decision.

I don't mind being on the window. Whatever. We will get up and move for Wishes anyways.

Hey girl! Your on, is it like 3 something in the evening there?

I knew I'd run into you tonight (your time). Yeah, it's 3:30 PM, and my kids are almost done with school. Only reading left for Zach.

Well, and Spanish with Bekka. I do that with her, since I'm moving back to the US and I'll likely need it-being in OR.

It's fun!

Anyway, between that and teaching my househelper to make chicken parmesan, it's been a busy day! Of course feeding and warming the puppies adds a boatload of work to my day too. I'm thankful for my DISsing breaks where I can catch up on everyone's threads. :thumbsup2

Sounds like a busy day!! Your wearing me out just talking about it. ;) I heard about the puppies over on Blue's thread I think. I can't keep them all straight.
Today was uneventful, I have a headache I'm trying to get rid of before going off to bed. Mackenzie is pretty easy to homeschool, so I didn't have to do to much with her, it's usually English I feel I have to stay on top of with her. Everything else she flys through without much issue.
:banana::banana: I'm so excited. My DH and I talked this evening and I told him I was getting anxious about our trip and not having anything in stone yet i.e. flights booked or the Disney part paid off. So.....he gave me the go to use the credit card to pay off the trip!! I hate using them, but he said it's smarter this way incase something happens we can have the credit card compay deal with the issues rather than us. I knew I married my Mr. Incredible for a reason. ;)

Some days are great with teaching, some days not so much. It's only DS that takes so much time. It's just so, so hard for him. When I have days that are hard, I have to remind myself that he isn't in a wheelchair drooling. I really have to count my blessings and work with where he IS at. Behind? Yes. Able to make SOME progress? Yes! All is good. Could it be better? Of course.

We must have had similar conversations with DHs on the same day. ;) I mentioned to mine that we are only about 5 weeks away from Southwest releasing Sept. airfares and that I was getting anxious that we weren't in a place for me to make a purchase.

He told me that I should just proceed as if things were going to stay on course for us to go when planned.:banana: I know lots could "happen" (his mother is actually dying) or ????? who knows what else??

I think he is finally understanding how important this is to me, but is much more apt to also understand that so many things could come between me and my trip.

I know what you mean about the issues getting in the way, at least your DH knows how important it is to you and gives a flip.
My DH gets the importance, but can still be a stuck-in-the-mud at times when it comes to understanding wanting to do things like meets. It doesn't matter that we would have been at the same place at the exact same time, he just doesn't get that this site holds some dear people for me. I realize we are all in reality strangers in the sense we haven't met, but to me when you get to know as much as we all do about one another, and helping one another through the all sorts of things we do.....well, I do really feel like we've all become a tight knit little community. I get where he's coming from, he's thinking with his head as most men do and there's nothing wrong with that, but we're all thinking with our hearts as most women do, of course there is the exception to the rule of wonderful men like Glennbo, G.B., Jordy of course, Dan, and others who I'm drawing a blank on if there are any. But I was hoping for a middle of the road meeting of minds, it's just the one meet over dinner at WGPExpress.
Of course as a Christian wife, I don't want to dishonor him or his feelings (or lack there of in this situation) and not honor his wishes about such things. He said he wasn't comfortable, and so I thought no biggie, I'll just meet with them later or earlier, on the day we get in, not a problem, right? He then said, "Well you meeting someone who's a stranger doesnt' make me feel comfortable either." I laughed and said "Well your really gonna hate me going in June 2012 then!" DH-"Why, what's happening in June two years from now?" Me- "A big Dis-meet with a bunch of us from the boards." He didn't have a thrilled look on his face to say the least. Me-"Look, I'm not expecting you to come with me, if that's what your thinking." Trust me I know better. DH-"Well that's good, at least you know it's not my thing." He'll come around I'm sure, he just doesn't like change and he doesnt' like anything out of his comfort zone. As it is, it took him 15 years to finally come up with us going on a vacation as a family just the four of us and it not involve going to his families house in California, or them coming with us. :scared1:
 Never mind I had to beg for most of those years. That's OK, I knew eventually it had to be his idea. ;) Going to his families use to be fine when they lived in Southern Calif., those are my old young adult stompin grounds and I could actually make a go of pushing for Disney Land to make the whole trip tolerable, but now they are up in Northern Calif. so it's not as much fun. :sad2: His family can be great, and really quickly not so great and you never know what your going to get....yes, yes, they are like a box of chocolates. :rotfl:

Nite, Dear one. I have to be able to get up in few hours for school, my headache has some what relented. Have a wonderful evening.
I'm just waiting down the few hours to be able to call and pay off our trip!!! Woooooo Hoooooo!!! :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

:cool1: I got a shout out. And helped spur a desire to eat somewhere! MWA HA HA!!!! :lmao:

I'm almost positive I have three points, but I could be wrong. Maybe it's just two. Oh, heck, I'm not going to win anyway, so it's neither here nor there. :rotfl2:

My sincerest apologies!! You are right!! You got WGPE, Starring Rolls and now Cali!

3 Points for the Master Enabler! :cheer2:

Ha ha I got a shout out too! I have to admit Cali Grill is heaven on a plate to me!! We just decided we're going back in October and there's no question where I want my birthday dinner. :)

Sam of course wants Le Cellier for every meal.

Nice!! A birthday dinner sounds perfect there!!

I'll have to go back and see what Sam ordered at both places.

OK now the pressure is on. I'm in a three way tie for first! :scared:

FYI I will be gone all weekend... one of my Christmas presents from Mel was a cruise to no-where.. not to be mixed up with the 3 hour tour. It is on Norwegian and leaves out of NYC for one night. You get to have lunch, dinner, and breakfast on the ship. Go to a show, go bowling, hit the casino... basically anything you can do on a regular cruise only it's one night. So I will be gone all of Saturday and most of Sunday. :rolleyes1

I totally agree with you here...the DIS can be a very tight knit community and these are real friends. As hard as it is to explain to people that have never experienced it, I have met enough DISers at this point to know that it is real friendship that is forged on the DIS. For those of us that just live life on here and really invest time, the rewards are strong friendships.

I have a few friends that are like a box of chocolates. ;)
