Diva Las Vegas

KA was so good. I was one of the ones who went there that night. I don't have any pics though, they don't let you take photos.

Before KA we (myself, Jane, Theresa, Debra) ate at the Rainforest Cafe in MGM. It was good as always. We were kind of rushed, didn't want to be late for the show, so no time to take any food porn.

During the dinner, Ruben called me to say that his parents had arrived and didn't want to use the hotel room they booked. They wanted to stay at our house with the kids, and let us use their room, so during dinner I spent a good chunk of time on the phone trying to tell him what to pack for me for that night and the next day. Sorry about that my fellow diners! lol

From dinner, we went to KA. We had great seats (thanks Theresa!!) and the show was wonderful. As we were walking out of the show we ran smack into Stacielee, Marcie and these two guys. I cannot remember their names now, but the guys had just arrived that day and were already making good use of their time. They were pretty wasted. I guess Stacie and Marcie had been hanging out with them most of the evening.

Jane and I left the group there while she drove me back to the timeshare where I was to meet up with Ruben. From there we went to Planet Hollywood to spend the night. Next morning he dropped me off at the timeshare again so I could be there for the fabulous Vegas sign photo, lunch and shopping.

Oh, and thanks Jane and Stacie for convincing me to try on that dress!!! First dress I've owned in like 12 years or something. It was perfect for our anniversary that was coming up that weekend. :thumbsup2

I don't really have many pics from that night, or the next day, but here are a few.

Marcie with one of the guys she and Stacie hung out with. The other guy didn't want to be in the photo, said he was part of a witness protection program. lol Wonder if that's code for married???

Another pretty foot photo. lol
100_0452.jpg

And in case anyone is wondering who's who, starting from the top and going clock wise we have:
Dawn (white pants)
Marcie (zebra striped flip flop)
Theresa ( long blk pants)
Debra (olive green capris)
Stacielee (jean shorts)
Beth (long jeans)
Jane (jean capris)
Wendy (long jeans)
Stacerita (blk carpris)
Cheryl (blk capris, barefoot)
Just some silly fun. :goodvibes

And finally more pics of us in front of the Vegas sign.

Great updates Stacie. Cannot wait to read about Chippendales!! :yay:

I am so glad you bought that dress. It looked great on you.

And yes, that is code for married.

It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
I'm gonna go out to run and let myself get
Absolutely soaking wet!
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah!
It's Raining Men! Every Specimen!
Tall, blonde, dark and lean
Rough and tough and strong and mean
God bless Mother Nature, she's a single woman too
She took off to heaven and she did what she had to do
She taught every angel to rearrange the sky
So that each and every woman could find her perfect guy
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah!
It's Raining Men! Ame---------nnnn!

So yes, tonight is the night we were heading out to see Chippendales! We were all busy getting ready for our night out on the town. It was decided that we would take taxis out tonight so if any of us decided to get a little crazy, we didn't have to worry about who was driving back.

Before we made our way out, we had to stop at the main gate of the complex to see when our condo was going to be serviced. Unlike staying in the hotels, we were only going to get maid service once during the week. We needed it too. Plus we were out of TP and tissue. We let them know at the front that we needed it, and they gave us some worried looks and said they were told it was done the day before. Then they suggested that since they use an outside service we should put away our valuables. So a quick trip back to the rooms and then we were on our way.

We got our taxi and were headed to the Rio. The show was going to be there, as is the Flirt lounge. We also had planned to have dinner there as well to make things a bit easier.

We killed a bit of time walking around the Rio before we headed to "Rub" for dinner. It was a super yummy BBQ place at the Rio.

After dinner we headed over to the Flirt lounge to wait till the show started.

We all checked out the restroom and the gossip couches they had. We did have one small issue with breaking the curtain in there. But we got out of there before anyone else knew.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

It was now time for the show......

ry%3D400

Our seats were not as close as last time, but we were very comfy.

There are no pics inside the show area. Sorry. But the basic of the show is that the gentlemen dance and put on skits. Yes, they have very little clothing on, but its done very tastefully.

One of the highlights of the show is the Cowboy part.

Cause I saddle up my horse
and I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
on my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy.
Everybody says
Save a horse, Ride a cowboy

Something different than the last show was that they now walk and mingle through the audience during certain parts of the show.

I can be your hero, baby.
I can kiss away the pain.
I will stand by you forever.
You can take my breath away.

After the show you are funneled into the gift shop. Just like DLR. From there you can go back to the Flirt lounge to hang out and mingle with the performers.

When we tired of the Flirt lounge, we headed out to watch the "Show in the Sky" at the Rio. Then we spent some time down at the bar area watching the flare bartenders for a bit. About this time, we decided to split up. Some of us headed out to have dessert, while Marcie and Theresa decided to hang out a bit longer.

Next up......Dessert at the Grand Lux Cafe

Those of us wanting dessert hopped into a taxi and headed over to the Venetian. We knew they had some yummy stuff over at the Grand Lux Cafe. And yes it was good.

There was no waiting and we were seated right away.

ry%3D400

Most of us were just getting dessert, but Stacielee didn't eat at dinner so she was getting something else.

The desserts were super delish.

After we were finished we decided to call it a night and get back to the condos. Lucky for us, Ruben said he would pick us up. Yeah!!! No taxi. He is super sweet. And the ride to the condo is super short. Im sure it would have cost us a lot to take the taxi.

Next up.......is someone hiding in the closet? and who still stuffs their bra?

Great update! sigh--wish I was there right now . . . . .

After our Stripper 101 class, we all made our ways back to the condos. For the evening we were splitting up and doing different things. Cheryl and I were meeting up with Wendy and Dawn to go to dinner and hang out, Stacie and Marcie were going to hit a few spots, gamble and have some cocktails, and the rest were heading out to see Ka.

Those who saw Ka said it was great and that they enjoyed it. I can't comment on it since I was not there. I do hope that someone who went can elaborate on that evening or post pics at least.

Stacie and Marcie made their way to Planet Hollywood for the start of their evening. They appeared to have quite a good time.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Cheryl and I drove over to pick up Wendy and Dawn. We decided we wanted a quieter dinner that night. So we headed over to The Orleans to have dinner at The Loft.

It was a really good dinner. I had prime rib, the Orleans cut. It came with a yummy salad, delish garlic mashed, and some great bread. I believe Cheryl had the same, but got her's with a baked potato instead. Dawn got prime rib skewers of some sort, and Wendy had a pasta dish. All of the food was yummy. And not that pricey. Our server was very sweet, but a little spacey. It was so good there, that this last trip I went back.

After dinner, we gambled a little. Mostly penny slots. We had wanted to get some dessert from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, but they were closed by the time we were finished with dinner. So we just gambled and drank.

It was a pretty much laid back kind of evening. It was nice to be able to catch up with Dawn and Wendy since they were staying some place else.

At the end of the evening, we dropped them back off at their hotel, then headed back to the condo.

Chit chat with the others, then shower and bed for me.

Next up.......Las Vegas Sign and Outback.

Our night wasn't as laidback but lots of fun. We met firefighters.

Theresa and I had fun at the bar with the flari bartenders after Chippendales. By the way, I figured out the name of the bar, Theresa. It's called Rio Village Bar. LOL

Yeah for Chippendales!!!!! :cool1: Those seats we had were pretty far back. Luckily it was a small theater, and we got some hugs from the performers to make up for it.

Stacie, did I mention when we went this last time, the weekend of Jane's birthday, that the tables were gone and it was back to the same rows of seating? So weird. It had to have only been like that for the filming. And this last time we were third row, center. I prefer it in rows personally.

Anyway, it was a fun night. The food at RUB (Righteous Urban Barbecue) was soooo good. The show was great. Funny about the bathroom curtain! Oops, guess that last deep fried Oreo was a bit much! :rolleyes1 It was all fixed up purty when we went back.
And dessert at Grand Lux was yummy. Mmmmmm, Dulce de Leche Caramel Cheesecake.

So here are a few pics I have from that night. :)

Me and Cheryl, after the curtain break. lol

It was a great night and I'm pretty sure that any of us who've seen the show, will NEVER be able to hear that song, "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" without thinking of this show. Yee haw!!

Love the pics you added Beth. I really couldn't be everywhere all the time.

Well, no one can, which is why I love that we all took pics and can share what we each got. Even pics of the same meal or activity that are taken from a different person, different angle, whatever make a difference.

Kind of like at OG when Wendy was up on stage and you were on one side and I was on the other both making sure we got all angles covered. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Ruben drops us off after our late night treat at the Venetian. When we get into the condo I notice the closet door shut. Now, we have kept that door open the entire week. Just made it easier to get our stuff and all. But tonight it was closed. Started freaking me out a bit. Especially after the front desk made us think twice about our stuff being out due to the outside cleaning service.

Stacie stated she closed it before we left. She thought. I didn't remember it being closed though. So I grabbed a weapon, or the book I had on my nightstand. Stacie and I snuck up to the closet door. We flung the door open and screamed. No one there. Thank goodness.

Sad thing was.....our condo still had not been serviced and we were still out of TP!!!

Another call was made. It didn't matter at this point if we ever got the condo serviced, but no way could we deal with not having TP. That was a must. They promised to bring TP and fresh towels as soon as they could.

Sometime during the evening we joked were joking about the Stripper 101 class. Especially the part where Jill, the instructor, told us about the rubbing the lotion on. For some reason most of us had the scene in Silence of the Lambs where the guys tells the girl in the well...."It rubs the lotion on its body". So for a good part of the evening, we kept saying that line in that characters voice. So unsexy to how Jill told us to do it.

The doorbell rung so I checked out the peep hole, and it was the condo guy with our towels and TP. So I opened the door for him. He had a huge garbage bag full of TP for us, and towels. We could have stayed another week and not run out.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

When I opened the door, I noticed that Marcie was standing against the wall. So her and I started chatting, while the guy just stood there. I could tell Marcie was a little mad. So I told the guy just to put the stuff in the condo while I talked to her.

Turns out that Marcie had tried calling a few of us to see where we were at and if we wanted to meet up with her. I never got any call, missed call or wrong number. So I know I didn't get a call. But she insisted that she did call a few of us. And we never answered. So she was a bit peeved. She thought we didn't want to hang with her.

I convinced her to come in. She did, but was still upset. I wanted to make her laugh, so I took the two rolls of TP and stuffed them into my dress. Then I went over to her and asked her for a hug. She about died laughing. Great! It worked. So then I went to Deb and Stacie and did the same thing. Before long we were all rolling and cracking up over me stuffing my shirt.

I then talked Marcie into doing the same thing.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

We even convinced Beth to give it a go.

ry%3D400

Once we stopped laughing and caught our breaths, we decided to call it a night and get to bed. We were going to have a long day tomorrow and wanted to be well rested for it.

Next up.....India documentry and Hash House a Go-Go

Its a group effort to totally get blackmail pics on our friends. ;) At least she wasn't texting up there. :rotfl:

OMG, now that would have been funny. She does like to text...... ;)

OKay, could there be a more unflattering photo of me than that one with the WHOLE ROLL of TP shoved down my chest?!?!?!? :scared1: :rotfl2:
Oh well. That's about what it would take, a whole roll, for me to even begin to come close to your cleavage. Speaking of which, why are there no pics of you with the rolls shoved down your shirt??? :rolleyes1

I know! No one thought to grab a camera... Stacie's the one always taking the pictures! And that's when I about peed my pants! Then we heard the Lexus story!

Yep, no pics of me stuffing my bra with two rolls of TP. I had the camera. And it was funny enough to pee your pants.

Shut up and put your money where your mouth is
That's what you get for waking up in Vegas
Get up and shake the glitter off your clothes now
That's what you get for waking up in Vegas

I can't believe that today is the last full day we all have in Vegas together. The week went by so fast. Yet we did a lot. Heck, today was probably the most jammed packed of the week. Considering how busy this day was, I got up and was pretty lazy in the morning.

I woke up and it was early, not super early though. Everyone else still seemed to be asleep so I turned on the tv and got comfy in bed. I do love that flat screen by the way. Of all the shows I could have watched, I decided to watch an Indian documentry.

"Smilie Pinki"
Pinki is a five-year-old girl from a village in the Mirzapur District, India, born into a desperately poor family, and with a cleft lip. Pinki never realized that this condition required just one simple operation until she met Pankaj, a social worker traveling from village to village gathering patients to go to hospital in Varanasi that provides free surgery to thousands each year. This real-world fairy tale follows its protagonist journey to a dream smile from isolation and shame. Approximately thirty five thousand Indian children are born with cleft lips and palates every year. There are about 10 Lakhs Indians with this malady, which can easily be corrected by a simple surgical procedure, which is known to occur in 4 to 12 weeks' fetus' mostly due to nutritional deficiencies and/or genetics, but erroneously blamed on eclipses, and results in isolation and alienation. Five year old Pinki Sonkar and eleven year old Ghutaru Chauhan, both with cleft lips, are amongst thousands who travel, by foot and by auto-rickshaw, to G.S. Memorial Plastic Surgery Hospital in Banaras for free treatment with hopes of leading normal lives.

It was a great documenty. If given the chance, I recommend you seeing it.

When the movie was over, everyone seemed to be getting up. So we got ready to head to our first destination of the day. Hash House a Go-Go. It was off the strip. We piled into the two cars and headed on over.

The place was pretty far I thought. Or maybe I was just hungry. But we got there and were seated once everyone showed up.

After we were all done, we loaded back into the cars and headed two different ways. I am not certain where the others went though. We made a stop at the gas station and then made our way back to the strip. We wanted to touch up our tats before we left town.

I was so stoked to find a great parking lot for us to park in right on the strip. Its kinda hidden and doesn't look like one, but its there. Only $3 too. Has an air conditioned walk way right into the M&M store. From there it was a quick walk to the place for out tats. After getting them touched up, we decided to split up again. Marcie and Deb decided they wanted to shop and then head back to the condo, the rest of us were planning on meeting up with the others at the Venetian.

Next up......Madame Tousaad's.

We arrived at the Venetian and made our way to the main lobby area.

Those of us who decided to do Madame Tousaad's made our way over there.
