Well now seems like a good time to ask a question I have wanted to ask of all you shutter bugs. I have taken a few photos of people over the years while at WDW. One day while I was with my DD and her DF I had them posing in front of the castle for a photo when an angry man and woman approached me. He asked if I had taken a picture of his wife. I said no and gestured toward the girls. He said he was talking about earlier. She demanded to review the pictures on my camera. My first thought was they were going to try and grab the camera and run. But I kept the strap on and held it tightly and let her look through the whole card. There was nothing. DD said she heard the woman say to him as they walked away, something like 'that's what happened last time'.

Now I don't know what the whole story was, but it made be paranoid about photographing others, or even who is in any of my shots of landscapes, etc. What is your take on this?? I mean if you are at WDW, shouldn't you expect that you are going to end up in other people's pictures???

I don't want to hijack the thread with this but I would appreciate your thoughts and experiences.

This brings up a funny situation we had in 2005. We were leaving MK and this foreign couple (Asian) was taking pics of each other in front of the castle. When the guy went to take a pic of the girl - my dad leaned in and got in the pic making a silly face! LOL They just laughed...I can only imagine the conversation when they got back to where they were from!

I tried to not be too obvious when I was taking pictures intentionally of other people. The lady in the too tight white pants was easy as I was kinda far away. I took a picture of a really hairy man on the monorail and I just set the camera in my lap and used the display thing on the back to frame it. I have a couple others that were kinda far away, 10 feet or so, and in a crowded area so no one knew.

She demanded to review the pictures on my camera.

I don't think so- there is no way I would let someone do that. If they were harassing you or acting in a threatening way toward you then you should have called security immediately. And so what if they happened to be in one of your shots??? Would you have deleted it for them? Why should you? It may have been a meaningful picture of your family members. Disney World of all places I can't imagine anyone having an expectation of privacy from being photographed. :sad2:

I guess I've kind of been oblivious to other people taking pictures of me. When you starting thinking about it our pictures could be in SO MANY different places...whoa trippy!!! :hippie:

But you know what's weird? I NEVER see anyone I know in any of the pics I look at.......hmmmmmm....

I know this is totally OT, but I have to share this story since we're talking about pictures and other people in them.
A friend of mine and I were talking about our pasts and, to make a long story short, found out that we were at the same Easter Egg Hunt when we were 5 in this totally random place. Turns out he had a picture of me in the background of a picture his parents took of him, and I had a picture of him in the background of a picture my parents took of me.
It's a small, small world!

owww- Now I feel bad for the woman who's pic I posted-- she just seems so "exposed":lmao:

I am removing her out of respect!:lmao:

ETA- Hey- How come I can still see her and I deleted her from my photobucket acct?? Can anyone else still see her??

hehehehe...thank you, NOW I get it! :rotfl: I really wasn't yelling at you! Though, when I saw the quote, it sounded like I could have been...I was actually feeling pretty goofy for not knowing. :rolleyes1

Quite frankly, if someone tried to force me to show them MY pictures.....Well, they better be ready to defend themselves

I would not even think to do that, especially if they were short or mean about it. It sounds like they went to the wrong place for vacation :lmao:

This so reminds me of Lilo taking her photos of interesting people. :-)

Here is a pic of the pontoon boat we rented for Illuminations... me, DH, and my parents... Note the blanket and sweatshirts...we went the beginning of December and it was COLD! :cold:

And the pastry box contained goodies from the bakery in France... YUM!
