Tell me about Shula's and Concourse Steak places. Are they comparible, is one better, which do you like best?? Trying to decide. Thanks! :bounce:

We have been to both, and they are very different. Schulas is a typical steakhouse that you might find in any city. It is very expensive, and everything is ala carte. It is masculine decor and a busy place. If you like steak, it is very, very good, but I don't associate it with Disney too much.

The Concourse is in the CR, right next to Chef Mickeys. As you dine, you can watch the Monorail come and go. The decor is much less fancy than Schulas, but more Disney. It can occaisionally (but not always) get a little noise overflow from Chef Mickeys. We like the Concourse, and think it is kind of an undiscovered secret at WDW.

If my intent was to get the best steak I would go to Schulas, but for a less costly meal that is more "Disney-fied" we love the Concourse.

Of course you can also consider the Yachtsman and LeCellier for steaks. We're not big Yachtsman fans, but absolutely love LeCellier.

I'm curious about the Concourse as well. Is it too "stuffy" for a 8 and 10 yr old?

Absolutely not! Our kids have always loved watching the monorail come and go, and it's much more of a family atmosphere than many other steak houses.

The Concourse is not to stuffy at all for kids, they have a great time watching the monorails whizzing by. I think the food is very good there, I have never been to Shula's, I know there is one here in NY that my husband went to and he said it was pretty expensive and he felt like it was not worth it. I'm not even sure where the one is that your talking about? Is it in the parks somewhere or DTD? Here is a menu for the concourse that you may find helpful: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_cs.htm :disrocks:
