I'm reading your PTR now, but I'm so distracted by all the yummy food pics that I keep forgetting to see what you look like!!!

Hehe, The Boyfriend always sees me looking at food pics here on DISboards and always has to comment along the lines of, "Oh geeze... are you going to take pictures of all of our meals while we're there??"

You tell your BF "Of course I am going to take food pictures", and that he can't eat until you get a picture of his food too!:rotfl2: Drives my DH crazy but he likes it when he can remember what he ate later!

We did Tony's last year and really enjoyed it!!!

Congrats on your BF getting his vacation!!!:woohoo:

I'd still like to go to Universal one day. Preferably after the Harry Potter attraction opens!!! My brother LOVES scary thrill rides, and his girlfriend is terrified of them and won't go on them! So maybe we could do a joint trip sometime. The boys can go on the big scary rides while the girls do something less scary... like shop!

That sounds like a GREAT plan!! :thumbsup2

Most people hate to fly, but I love it!

This would be me. :sad2: I used to love flying but then like a switch went off in my head I now have a phobia about it! Go figure! :confused3 Glad to hear your flight plans aren't changing anything too important--like getting to WDW!!

:lmao: Well, tell him you see it as doing a service for Disney! I know that after I read some of the dining reports and look at the pictures I want to eat food I never would have considered in the past!! So, snap away! I need the food porn! And Disney needs my future purchases! Yeah, right!!

So here's what I'm thinking for our trip:

Sunday:

Wake up really, really, really early.
Cinnabon for breakfast! (I always like to do a special breakfast before I travel. And so I asked The Boyfriend what his favorite breakfast is and he said, "Cinnabon!!!")
Drive to my parents' house in my car. (They live really close to the airport and don't mind giving us a ride there at 5 am!)
Leave my car at my parents' house and get a ride with them to the airport.
Listen to my iPod and play my Nintendo DS on the plane. The Boyfriend plans on sleeping.
Change planes in Atlanta
Arrive in Orlando!!!!
Take DME to ASMu
Hopefully check into our room.
Lunch at ASMu Food Court
Check out ASMu gift shop
Head to DTD and SHOP!!!
Dinner at either DTD or Boardwalk
Then the rest of the night is open to whatever- DTD, hanging out at the hotel pool, checking out some of the other resorts, going out for a drink... I dunno. Whatever we're in the mood for.

Be greeted enthusiastically by our dog Rosie

So yup, that's what I'm thinking.

It's been a few days since I updated my PTR! I've just been insanely busy! I've been getting tons of pet sitting gigs lately! Last night I had to do walks for four different dogs! I walked one dog, got in my car and drove to the next house, walked that dog, got in my car and drove to the next house, and so on. At the end I'd done so much walking that I was thinking to myself, "Why do I want to go to WDW again?" I just wanted to sit down for very long periods of time!

But on the plus side, with all these extra pet sitting gigs I've been getting lately means that I can increase my Booze Budget for WDW! Lapu Lapu here I come! :drinking1

Also, I had a Yard Sale yesterday!!!

I earned a nice bit of cash, so more WDW spending money for me!

Congrats on booking your room and getting your ADRs! I've stayed at ASMu twice and I really liked it - I think you'll have a ball there.

Sci-Fi is so fun too! We are eating there again on this trip too.

Congrats on the extra spending $$$. :thumbsup2

Hi  joining in on your report. Sounds like you have a good plan started. Congrats on the extra drinking money. I plan to drink my way through World Showcase (I am so thankful for disney transportation)

BTW your dog Rosie is adorable. I also have two cats that are not very bright but the most loveable animals you will ever meet.

That's great!!! I think I'll be very happy at ASMu!

I am sooo looking forward to Sci-Fi!

I don't think I'll be able to get a drink from every country on this trip! But maybe on a future trip I could set aside a few days for drinking at Epcot!!!

Haha! At first I thought the main benefit of Disney Transportation was not having to pay to rent a car! Then I saw this thread and I realized the true benefit of Disney Transportation!!!

Aww, thank you! I definitely feel that not being very bright adds to their charm! Besides, who really wants a pet that can outsmart you?

I have never ridden on Splash Mountain. Going to Disneyland as a child, I was always way too scared. When I went back to Disneyland in 2007, I had one goal- to ride Splash Mountain.

SplashMountain.jpg

When I got there and saw the ride, I chickened out!

So my goal for this trip is to get up the nerve to ride Splash Mountain! The Boyfriend is 100% convinced that I will chicken out again. I want to prove to him and everyone else that I can do it!

I'm pretty disappointed that they don't serve alcohol at MK. I know I'd be able to get on this ride if I was good and liquored up! But alas, I'll be facing my fear completely sober! :scared:

(Maybe if the monorail line isn't too long I can hop on over to one of the resorts and grab a drink!)

I am so ready for this trip! It's over a month away and I've already started packing my suitcase! I haven't packed very much yet. Just a hat, a rain poncho and my bathing suit.

Since the airlines now charge $25 to check your bags, The Boyfriend and I have decided we are going to take all of our luggage on carry-on! It's been a bit of a challenge planning because all of our liquids have to be in containers less than 3 oz all in 1 quart bags. But I think it's definitely worth it to save $25! Plus, we don't have to worry about losing our luggage!

An added bonus is that this limits the souvenirs I can buy on my trip which will save me money on stuff I really don't need!

I went through all of my many suitcases and duffel bags and found the perfect bag for my trip:

Luggage.jpg

It meets the airline size requirements (I just have to worry about keeping the weight under 40 lbs...) and I like that it has a lot of side compartments so my iPod and camera and Nintendo DS can be in quick reach on the plane!

So... very exciting news! My DME packet came in the mail yesterday!!! I literally started jumping up and down screaming when I saw the envelope!

DME.jpg

I was pretty happy to see those yellow luggage tags... even though I won't be using them since all of our luggage will be carry-on. But I do plan on making a vacation scrapbook when I return, so I plan on saving them to put in the scrapbook! I've never made a scrapbook before, so I'm very excited about this!

So last night The Boyfriend and I went out for drinks. And of course the conversation drifted towards our upcoming WDW vacation! Now that it's getting closer, he's starting to get a lot more excited about it! He even mentioned wanting to go to WDW again next year! And he said that depending on our financial situation, we might even stay at a Deluxe Resort! :faint: (I want to stay at either the Polynesian or the Contemporary. He wants to stay at AKL. So on this upcoming trip we're planning on checking out some of the Deluxes to decide where to stay!) And if we do a 2010 trip, we'll probably also spend some time at Universal. I'm really excited about the Harry Potter attraction! But we should probably get through this trip first before planning our next trip!

I'm just completely shocked! Not too long ago I mentioned that I was already thinking of things I wanted to do at WDW that we weren't going to be able to fit into this trip that I'd like to save for the next trip. He groaned at my obsession and complained, "Are you going to be one of those people that saves up money every year just to go to Disney and never wants to go anywhere else?" And now he's excited about going again as early as next year! Hmmm... at this rate it shouldn't be too difficult to convince him into a DVC membership at some point in the future...

i got my mickey mail too last week:) It is soo exciting!! even before i got home my mom called me and was like make sure you check your mail when you get home because she got her packet that day:) that is a very good idea with trying to fit everything in your carry on--- we did think of that but i like to buy a lot of souvenirs in disney-- and and i am one of those people that save all my money just to go to disney every year LOL!!! its soo funny because people at work think i am made out of money because i go to disney every year-- and then i always have to say i go every year because its soo afforable! We are actually going to try to take the tour to check out DVC this year and see what it has to offer--- and i would also love to stay at the poly someday that would be my dream resort:)

Mickey mail is so exciting!!!! Haha, I love to buy souvenirs!!! And I am so excited about shopping on my trip!!! I am such a sucker for gift shops! So being limited on what I can buy will definitely be kinder on my wallet! Yeah, I really want to take the DVC tour sometime! Probably not this trip since it's my very first trip to WDW and there's so much I'm trying to cram in! But it's on my "To Do" list for a future trip!
