It's Really Not so Scary!
Now, where were we? Ah yes, day three, MNSSHP day!! I was so excited for this day. We slept in a bit today, about 8 AM. Mama was up much earlier than that, so by the time sis and I were up she had already been down for coffee and explored a bit of the resort.
We had breakfast at the Mill. Mom and I each got a bounty platter I think, Kat may have gotten the same thing. Not pictures cause we literally all dug in as soon as we sat down.
After breakfast we went out to check out the pool!
Mom isn’t a big water fan so she walked around some more and joined us a bit later. Kat and I mostly sat around in the shade poolside, just enjoying the relaxing day. We decided to ride the little slide; we were definitely the biggest kids on that thing! I gotta say once I hit that water it was cold!! Nothing a little dip in the hot tub couldn’t fix.

We were all pretty antsy and excited for the night so we headed back to the room for showers and to get dressed. We had an ADR at Kona at 1:50 PM, but I thought it’d be fun to check out Trader Sam’s before linner (that’s lunch/dinner). We hustled up, did our make-up (mom hated it and ended up taking most of it off) and hit the road!
We decided to drive to the ticket center and just take the monorail to the Poly. We got great parking for it being the middle of the day; no tram needed! The day was sort of gloomy and rainy, but nothing consistent; very on and off. When we arrived at the Poly I had to see everything! We spotted Kona, checked out the gift shops, we missed seeing the pool and the cabanas cause the rain was too much to venture out into at this point. We walked out to Trader Sam’s and saw this.
I was so bummed! Oh well, nothing a little Dole Whip can’t take care of!! My mom was not into eating this delicious treat, “I don’t like it.” She kept saying, but she hadn’t had it in so long how could she possibly have known that?! She tried it, and loved it! So there Sam-I-Am.

We were getting hungry so we went up to Kona to try and check in early. We had a very cute server and a great table near the window, but not right up against it. We decided to just get a few appetizers and some sushi rolls to split, and some cocktails of course!!

This was not my favorite drink. It was tasty enough, but I just wasn’t into how boozy it was. Needed more juice, this was actually my biggest complaint about Disney alcoholic drinks; they’re just too strong to be enjoyable. I mean, I want to taste the booze, but if I wanted a shot I’d have ordered one. (I know, who complains about drinks being too strong? I’m a former bartender and drink snot, and I’ll full admit it.)

Linner was yummy, but I was ready for some Halloweening!
We went into the bathroom, fixed up our hair and such then hit the Monorail and head to MK! It was about 3 PM at this point. We were one of the first party goers to arrive, but we were definitely not the last; the pasty sold out at 2 PM…
