Shows during crowded weeks

During a very crowded week (Easter, Christmas etc) how are the waits for the shows? Do you have to get to the show to get in line a while before it starts (thinking about horror make-up, bourne, animal actors)?

There always are long line waits during your above listed holidays

Some do the shows for the first set as many head to the rides when the park opens

You can read the show times in advance and plan your morning schedule

Thank you. Does park staff cut the line off when they can tell you won't be getting into the next scheduled show? Would hate to wait and then not be able to get in.
