Total: 5730 dollars!!

That's a lot of money - but hey ....it's worth it!!!

We are going from Aug. 1-12. It will be myself, DH, DS-13, DD-11, and DS turning 8 on trip. I will also be celebrating my b-day on this trip.

Airline tickets OMA to MCO: $578.00 ( We got 1 free ticket with my DH's miles.) (already purchased)

Youride: $75

PAP: $ 2308.00 ( We are going back next year. Already purchased vouchers)

POR for 11 nights: $1331.00( will finish paying this off end of this month.)

Grocery's: $100.00 ( for some snacks and such in room)

Food: $1500.00

Tips: $100.00

Souvenirs: $200.00 ( kids will bring their own money)

Misc. (such as pirate cruise for my b-day boy and mouse boats and bikes): $150.00

Total: $6342.00 (hopefully we will come home with some money. But I would rather have too much with us than not enough.)
Everything is almost paid for except the food and misc. It is a really nice feeling!!!

We are taking lots of snacks and drinks with us, as well as sandwich stuff so that on our free days we will save money. We try to go to Disney every year so we tend to just buy T-shirts for us and let the kids pick out a few special things. The most important thing to us is just being together at Disney World!!!

Here was our budget for June 2001 trip:

2 Adults, 1- 9 yr old

1)Drove straight through from MD, 3 fill ups + 1 Cracker Barrell meal=Approx $125.00

2) 7 nights at ASsports- $69 + tax (don't remember how much)=Approx. 515.00

3) 4 day PH=$600 (We already had AP's for US)

4) Purchased breakfast food, snacks, soda, bottled water, coffee and brought it all with us=$40

5) $800 for meals and the trip home (DD had her own spending money, and we told her, "when it's gone, it's gone!")

Total for 8 days plus travel days-$2080

I know I can do a little better next time because, I will be bringing an electric cooler, George Foreman Grill, and a toaster oven to save a couple more meals and we will pack more lunch food.

YIKES, I never knew it was that much until I wrote it all out!!!

We are just paying for our passes (2 adult ones from each park), 1/3 of the house, 1/3 of the airfair, and 1/3 of the car...so it's alot less for us then my co-worker!

TiffTC- $85 div. by 8 people +tip = $33
5 day PH - $200something each...AAA deal = $410 approx.
Souvies and meals - $500

GRAND TOTAL (I'm closing my eyes) = $1773
(AHHHHHHH....could have been a dining table and hutch!!!)

BUT....these will instead be precious memories with seven loved ones that I know will never happen again!

Flight and hotel package - $1788
Park passes,discovery cove, all the attraction etc - $1170
Car hire - $438 for 14 days intemediate size
Transportation for other days $100
Food - $1000
Spending money - $1500 (including petrol money)
Total = $5996

That means it's costing us $150 each a day to be there!

That's made me even more excited now!

Trip was May 12 - 18 at WDW (10 - 20th including the drive)

It was a great trip. Can't belive the week went so fast.

Our last cheap trip :-( Took DH, DW, DD - 8, DS - 5, DD- 2

Next time will have to pay for a larger room, DD -8 will cost us an adult ticket and DD-2 will have to buy a ticket!

I think this is not a bad price for 5 people. $98 per person per day!
