Dieting my way to Disney!!

Oops...this is for yesterday...I'll come back later and update for today's earnings. It's been crazy busy trying to get back into the swing of things here and we were out from 1 pm to 8 pm last night. I didn't finish going through my survey websites until after 10 pm last night (and I was disqualified from EVERYTHING and ended up with a big fat NOTHING for my time) and by then I was watching tv with the hubs and he was anxious to snuggle on the couch so I had to put the laptop away without an update.
This Disney trip came about because I set a goal at the beginning of 2016 to run my first 5K. I had the whole year to get in shape and though I was exercising constantly for the first six months, things fell off in the summer. And, even though I was exercising daily...I didn't lose much weight. So, I'm putting myself on a strict diet for the rest of the year so I can try and shift some of this stubborn fat and I thought it would be a good principle to apply to my budget as well. Not a spending FAST per se...but a spending diet. I plan to spend on essentials ONLY for the next four months with an occasional splurge now and then to keep me going strong.
Okay, on to the update:
Since my last update I have added $35.82 to my Disney funds because I...
added $0 in Isay rewards...
earned $9.66 in credit card rewards...
earned $0 cash back through Checkout 51...
added $11.16 in the Disney jar...
added $15.00 to the Disney account...
earned $0 from quickrewards...
earned/received $0 in Disney gift cards...
So the new totals are:
$18.80 in Isay rewards...
$54.32 in credit card rewards...
$12.50 in Checkout 51...
$59.47 in the Disney jar...
$885.00 in the Florida account...
$5.05 in quickrewards...
$110.00 in Disney gift cards...
...and...
$105.00 in gift cards ordered from quickrewards but not yet received
...for a GRAND TOTAL of $1250.14!!
Savings goal: $5500
Total Remaining: $4249.86
Esso Extra Points: 3956
Points needed for $30 in free gasoline: 1044
Shoppers Optimum Points: 8411 ($10 earned)
8000 points is $10
22000 points is $30
38000 points is $60
50000 points is $85
95000 points is $170
**I still haven't included the SDM rewards in the tally but I will be using them for free milk when I go shopping again on the 12th.
I am trying something different this month. I did a HUGE monthly shop this weekend. I made a meal plan for the month, wrote up the shopping list to include all the shelf stable and freezer things I would need and then added in the dairy and produce for this week. I then went out and bought it all. My chest freezer is ridiculously full and I have a fair amount on the shelves as well. I gassed up and went to the dollar store yesterday, as well as to the mall to get a couple of back to school outfits for my DH. (The kids got their stuff in July and August). The plan is to get my son his new scout uniform next week and then basically stay out of the stores for the rest of the month. On the 12th, 19th and 26th (Mondays) I'll get the produce and dairy we'll need for the week and gas up the car. If I find I need something non grocery I'll get it but the focus is spending diet, so I'm trying to hoard the remaining money as much as possible so I can put it towards the trip.
