Whew! That was a lot!! Now I am all caught up. I still have some math to do for the trip but I'll do that at the beginning of September after the Paris trip is all done and we know what we are dealing with regarding DH's raise. I'm going to risk it and log my earnings for today right now, even though I have not yet been credited the quickrewards stuff as of yet. Wow! I was not good about updating this summer, was I?

We had a FANTASTIC time in Paris and even came in a little bit under budget! Naturally, I tossed that money into the Disney account and I am here to give you the current financial standing for our New Year trip.

I had quite the little adventure with QuickRewards last month. I cashed in my earnings at the end of July and ordered a $100 Disney gift card...WHICH NEVER CAME!! I contacted them and they were great about it. It was fully resolved this morning--they contacted Disney (who cancelled the card) and credited my account. I then cashed in once again for a $25 gift card for Disney, $40 for Olive Garden and $40 for Chili's. I sure hope they actually come this time! We are eating at both Chili's and Olive Garden on our trip. After this, all QR earnings will be cashed in for Disney cards.

**I have a certain amount of money being set aside each month (Oct, Nov, Dec) to go towards the trip. Once I subtract those amounts from the total, I'm left with approx $1650 in Canadian funds as the trip deficit. So, I have to magic up about $400 a month to reach the goal in time. Might be tough, but I do have the Christmas/Birthday money to fall back on if I can't quite make it. I want to avoid tapping into that however...so GAME ON!!

Also, my totals are a bit off since the gift cards are in American funds and I have not adjusted anything to reflect that. However, that's a job for another day. I'm still jetlagged (we got home around 10 pm last night and it's a six hour time difference) so math is NOT my friend this evening!

I also haven't factored in the SDM amount.

And sadly...I don't think we are going to be able to use my Esso rewards towards a free tank of gasoline this trip. I need to spend just over $1000 on gas between now and the end of the year and we usually use about $200 in gas per month. Bummer! Ah well...we'll just roll it over to the next trip! And I'll keep tracking it...just in case.
