Got you added Thats awesome you are staying deluxe! You are so lucky! This is my 1st time staying in a mod. A huge splurge for us since I need to book 2 rooms to fit my crew, but I did it and I can't wait!

For the Aug Vets....how bad is it this time of year with the crowds? I went twice in Sept when I was little, I don't remember crowds but I remember the heat lol.
And what about getting stuck in a hurricane?!?!?! We handled the moonson May 09 rains. I am excited and nervous all at the same time.

Can't answer about the crowds, as I'm usually there mid-September. However, worst-case scenario and there's a hurricane while you're there, Disney will close the parks (usually only one day) and ask guests to stay in their resort rooms during the worst of it. As for the rain, if you handled last May ok, you'll be fine!! (I was living in FL at the time...WOW did it rain last May!!). As a friend of mine is fond of saying, Rain washes the crowds away!

A Friend qualified and I am tagging along. This is a Kid/husband free trip. And a 1st for both of us.

Yes they have closed the parks if the hurricane is over Orlando, but this is usually only for one day. We were not so lucky for TS Faye in '08. Although they didn't close the parks (she wasn't that severe), it did rain steadily for our entire trip. On the plus side that kept the crowds low & the weather was not as hot.

My DSis 13 and are are heading back for the second year in a row. Only difference is we upgraded to a moderate!!! POR!!!!!!!

Also we went in June last year so August is new for us too!
