Supposedly they escort you out of the park after your reservation if you don’t have a band.
Last year, we had an ADR at The Plaza for 5:55pm on a party night; we were doing MNSSHP the next party night, but not that night. After dinner, they didn't escort us out, but CMs at The Plaza gave us special wristbands different than party wristbands so that we could exit the park without being harassed.

But if someone has a 6:30pm ADR and they don't have a party ticket & wristband, good luck getting to the restaurant.

So what did the wristbands do? Were you able to stop and shop on Main Street?

No, they are both trick or treat locations. Philharmagic was already closed around 5:45-5:50 when we went over there (we thought it might be but hadn't seen it yet this trip so we gave it a shot).
Oh last year you walked through the Philharmagic theater and they had a cartoon thing playing and you sit and watch or just walk thru for candy.

We went on Friday - our first MNSSHP!

We arrived around 5-5:30 and the lines to get in were crazy, the mix in hour was also a bit chaotic, but after that it was wonderful. We did rides early, some trick or treating (and brought home a huge bag of candy), fireworks, the parade and the midnight Hocus Pocus show. We were really impressed with all of it.

We got a spot for the parade about 20 min before the show and it was a great spot in the hub. For the 2nd parade, I think we found seats in Frontierland about 10 min before. And we walked up to HP show at like 11:58 after sneaking in last minute rides on Peter Pan’s flight and the Phillharmagic ToT spot.

Character meet lines looked quite long,so we skipped most of those, but would admire from afar. DD9 loves stitch so she met Elvis Stitch and was super excited about it.

We went to Beaches and Cream before the party and were pretty full, so we didn’t wind up with any of the party-specific snacks, just a bag of popcorn and a frozen lemonade bar for the parade because there was a cart right next to where we sat.

I’m not sure the buses from parks to DS are running yet.

They definitely are not running after the party as DS is closed.
Thank you! I’m just back from Universal where City Walk closes at 2, and transport continues until after that clears. Did not realize Disney Springs has an earlier closing.

I am staying offsite and am considering taking Uber to the party. Where is the drop off and how hard would it be to get an uber back after midnight?
This is my plan as well, and I've been scoping out Uber/Lyft pricing and availability around the times I will need them (because I'm a type-A planner - winging it is not in my DNA 😂) - it seems like there are plentiful rides available at the end of the night. If you feel more comfortable leaving from the Contemporary, that's fine, but I would actually think there would be more people at the TTC filtering out from the party (after all, everyone who drove will be leaving from there as well).

Also, last trip, at prime times, we found Minnie vans to be within a few dollars of Uber/lyft. The advantage of Minnie vans is that they will pick you up from mk bus stop.

Really? I thought it was now $30 vs $15/20 for Uber/lyft.

That said, they’re still worth it. The CM was always friendly and made us feel welcome and comfortable. They always had two clean car seats! Highly recommend if it’s peak time and you’re cutting it close to an ADR.

Anyone can make a reservation for any time. The question is whether or not they will be allowed to use it.
You can make ADRs 4-6 pm. You just need to have the right tickets to be allowed in. I would make an ADR 5-6 or be safe as it’s taking 30+ mins just to get through the turnstiles (per recent reports).

I read somewhere you can buy Genie+ with park tickets for that time frame as well, although it wouldn’t be worth the 2-3 rides that will have little wait once the party starts.

Caution: plan Disney could be wrong; I would go with first hand experiences

Mixed reports Genie+ 4-6 pm with MNSSHP tickets only

Correct. The poster I quoted was referring to an earlier post where someone has the opposite. They made a dining reservation for 6:30, but they do not have party tickets.

That’s a definite no. They will actively escort you out at 6 pm. 5:55 pm is ok and you will be allowed to eat.

Also the only way the person has a 6:30pm
ADR is if they specifically searched for MNSSHP dining and that fine print clearly says you need party tickets. It makes it so difficult for those of us with actual party tickets to book MNSSHP dining 6-7 pm. They need to tie these ADRs to party tickets.
