Okay I skimmed the posts I've missed in Mexico. We decided to swap our trip down to only 3 nights as my BF really needed to get back and prep for some work things. Well then he decided on the last day to go hard at the swim up bar w/ the good tequila. At 4am on go home day when I was still puking, I told him he needed to figure out how to book another night for us to stay, LOL. Thank god for non-rev flights as it was easy to book us new flights. We lost out $50 on the shuttle for not cancelling 24 hours in advance. And I think the hotel felt so bad, they didn't even make us pay the small daily fee (I think it's like $20, lol).
Now that I hit my spend on the Hilton Biz, and it posted, I guess it's time to figure out what card to go at next. I don't like how fast I hit the $4k (I did it before the statement even closed). But my son needed new skates....which was $850 alone! I also used my card to get my BF's new suit, which was another $500. So I guess it's not all organic, LOL. I'm shocked how fast I got the FNC email from Hilton. Within a few days of hitting the $4k, I had the email.
I see the Barclay AA Biz is an elevated offer again. I've been hitting barclay biz cards kinda hard this year (Jet Blue in Jan, Wyndham in March). I closed the AA Biz card in Dec 22. I opened it 10/2020. Any hard in trying to apply and getting denied? I'm sitting at 4/24 until August....then I drop to 3/24. So I guess I'm still looking at Biz cards. I guess if I don't do the Barlcay biz, I could do the Citi AA biz, since it's been 48 mos since my last SUB w/ them. Otherwise, not sure what other biz card to do. I have 2 CIC, 1 CIU and 1 CIP, so I don't think I need to try for anymore Ink right now. I'll close my CIP in August when it renews. Then maybe I'll think about doing another Ink, LOL.
I agree with what Calypso said about considering your overall goals and can also confirm that the FNCs take a long time to post. I have the Hilton biz and got the Aspire a few months ago. I love the Diamond status with the Aspire. That Surpass offer is a good SUB, so if it works with your plans I would go for it. You don't have to decide your next card right now.
I had the email I earned my FNC within days of hitting the spend. That said, not sure if it's officially in my account yet. I'll need to look. But I feel Hilton is always fast to post it.
I tried for the Hilton Biz even though I've had it (closed Jan 2021) since some have had success getting it again. No luck. There was a pop-up saying I've had the card before. Oh well. It was worth a try. I got approved for another CIC instead.
Try the Doc link. I just earned the SUB again, I had the card in 10/19 and closed in 2020. I LOVE the FNC!
