Going Home To Disney Springs!

Today was our last full day, are only full day, in Disney. So when I woke up and saw 11 flash on the alarm clock screen I was put in a little bit of a panic. I was relieved when I checked my phone and it said 7, then I remembered Erin flipped the alarm clock upside down facing me because it was to bright for her. There was no point in trying to fall back to sleep so I got up and ready for the day and let Erin sleep till her alarm went off.
We had a packed day and I had a feeling we wouldn’t get through everything, which was fine. First stop of the day, my home, DTD!
We got to watch a nice little wrestling match at the bus stop. 2 young children were going at it and their parents weren’t really trying to control them very much.
Welcome Home!!!!!

We got to Disney Springs a couple minutes before most store opened so we took this time to run around the deserted marketplace and take photos of their holiday decor

We then found the perfect photo op for a girl who wants to become a DVC member. Welcome to my Villa

The new color scheme of WOD is looking pretty classy.

Basin was opened already for the day and I was ready for that hand scrub. Erin was another newbie that I brought to the world of Basin and the wonderful hand scrub. She loved it so much that she bought herself a jar. I would do that same thing but I already have some at home.

World of Disney finally opened and it was the deadest I will ever see it

We were both on a mission of what we needed in the store so we went off in our own direction and planned on meeting up once we were done. With the new addition to WOD I was lost as to where everything was located and I was not a fan of the building not having windows. However what I do approve of is the wonderful ceiling they added!

I feel like I was walking around the same area forever because I am indecisive when it comes to making decisions. I went in just to purchase a few christmas presents but there were so many options. I finally got what I needed and found Erin with her arms full of things. She still wasn’t done so I told her I would meet her at the Co Op.

I found Erin and we headed to the lego store where she literally bought the whole store.
We headed out of the marketplace and to the landing.

When you randomly take a picture of a lamp post and send it to your old guest show co-worker because it takes you back to your last New Years Eve and all the fights that broke out at DTD.

We walked to the very end of the west side to Disney Quest. With 2 free passes why not go enjoy Disney Quest for the last time before it closes. We still had a bit before it opened so we sat outside the doors and waited.

While we were waiting a guest came up to Erin and asked where the lego store was. A look of panic washed over her face and I took over and became the CM. I pointed out that it was about a 10-15 minute walk or they could take the water taxi to the other side.
We waited some more, Erin pulled out her “free” gift from the lego store and built a small tree

The clock hit 11 and it was time to see how much we could get done at Disney Quest in an hour.

Exploring Disney Quest One Last Time

It’s been quite a while since I have been to Disney Quest so I was pretty excited. Once they opened the doors we bypassed the elevator going up and walked through the lobby door to the bottom floor to put our bags bags in storage. Then since we were already at the bottom level with all the fun games we decided to hit up Pirates. Yay for being the first guests.

Once we won pirates we were still not all that surprised that it was still kind of dead. So with no wait we hopped on over to the virtual jungle cruise, or what I like to call the raft that Gma fell out of way back when (And I wasn’t even there to experience such a funny sight)

This always seems a lot more fun then it really is.

We headed up to the next level and took on my favorite “attraction” in all of disney quest, cyberspace mountain. Who doesn’t love creating a crazy rollercoaster with Bill Nye

We were completing floor by floor at rapid speed thanks to no guests and knowing what things to hit and what were ok to miss. so up another flight of stairs to play some bumper car dodgeball.

We loaded up on bombs. We had a good 5 balls just rolling around our car ready to be shot. Getting shot at is however probably the most hilarious thing, I mean it takes you by surprise you shriek a bit, then laugh at how obnoxious you are while you get spun around.

The last game for the day was the human pinball, I only ever did this once before and it was not fun and it hurt my legs. I tried to give it another chance and it still wasn’t all that fun.

Before we left Disney Quest for the last time ever we had to take a quick picture with my favorite bad guy.

We got our bags back and headed off to catch the water taxi back to the marketplace. Of course when we have so much planned for the rest of the day transportation doesn’t want to be on your side. It took a while for a boat to come to the dock and a group in front of us didn’t like how long it was taking and left. But silly them not too long after a boat came and we were off…to the landing dock…where no one was waiting. Then finally to the marketplace.

If you don’t run for a bus is it really a disney vacation? In fear of the bus pulling out and leaving us behind I did what I did best a sprinted. I didn’t want to have to wait another 20-30 minutes for a bus because when it comes to DTD transportation it kind of lacks. We were in luck though because they were just switching bus drivers which gave us some time. Then we saw another group running for the bus…just the same group who decided to not wait for that water taxi.
Once arriving back to Pop we headed straight to the room and got ready for MVMCP!

We also decided to make a last minute very short trip to see the O Lights one last time last year. One of our best Disney decisions ever! I still can't believe they are gone forever. Truly a magical sight to see in person!!

Enjoying your TR so far! I can't wait to see how MVMCP went. We really wanted to add that to our short trip as well but because we went over Thanksgiving, there were no parties. Womp womp.

Perfection Called Wilderness Lodge

We left the resort to head over to the MK area around 2. We couldn’t get into the park with our party ticket till 4 so this gave us just enough time to resort hop to check out all the christmas decorations and to get ourselves some lunch.
When we arrived to Mk we headed straight to the boat dock and hopped on a boat to the wilderness lodge.

I'm obsessed with the little boats and riding them around the seven seas lagoon to the resorts. Maybe it was from always watching the fort wilderness sing along as a child and watching them sing songs as they headed for Discovery Island or maybe its because its just peaceful. Either way I love it.

Being in the daylight and coming closer to the lost lands of discovery island and river country, all Erin could talk about was Discovery Island and which island it was.

We made it to Wilderness Lodge and I never wanted to leave

This resort at christmas is beyond perfect, this resort any other time of year is also perfect. Basically this resort is high up on my favorite resorts list, probably tied with Fort Wilderness. What can I say I just love the Wilderness.

Let the crazy amount of photo taking begin.

A family was on the bridge trying to take a nice photo but of course the mother had to take the picture not making it a real family photo. So I stepped in and became miss wannabe photo pass photographer.
And then once they left we took the opportunity to get our own photos before we left for the next resort.

We left the beautiful lobby of the lodge to head back to the dock but we didn’t get far because I just really love to take photos. So I made Erin run to the bridge outside.

Then once we left for good I got a few more snaps of the resort.

We headed back to the dock, hopped aboard a watercraft and away we sailed off to the contemporary

Going to the Contemporary I knew what their idea of christmas decorations was….FROZEN. So we didn’t spend too much time there.

With the very short trip, mostly because I was getting really hungry, we headed up to the monorail Elf style

We took the monorail to the Poly where I was ready to stuff my face at Captain Cooks.

That Dreaded Blue Mickey

Once arriving at the Polynesian we had to take the obligatory tourist shot

Then we needed to find food asap because no one wants a hangry sam.
Once arriving to Captain Cooks I came to the dilemma of not knowing what to get, the pulled pork sandwich or the nachos. Both delicious, but this time the nachos won. And it was a great decision made. Erin was less adventurous and got a regular pepperoni pizza.

We didn’t really spend much time besides eating at the poly before we headed over to the Gflo.
One quick monorail ride away and we were entering the most classiest resorts on property.

And once again we went on another photo snapping rampage.

If its one thing I’m good at its not really caring what people think of me. so yes I will lay on the ground of the Gflo while the rest of the guests are lounging around on the couches listening to the band play from above. If that means I can get a good photo I will do it. It’s not my fault the christmas tree is so tall.

Another thing I’m really good at is having my friends jump in the photos to be my wonderful models and they most always do.

Erin would soon get tired of being the only one in photos and insist that if she did it I had to do it as well. We ended up being to slow and a little girl stole the show. She was by far one of the cutest things ever. She just kept switching posses every so often and was not a fan when her parents said that they had to go.
So while we waited Erin took the role of the crazy girl laying in the middle of the lobby

We stopped hogging the tree and headed back upstairs to catch the monorail to the MK.
But of course going from point a to point b was to easy for us, we had to stop to take more pictures along the way.

Once we did make it to the monorail it was already a little after 4. We were only a little bit behind schedule which was a horrible catastrophe because we only had 2 fast passes to use up before the party started.
Entering the MK is always an excited moment, but the real way to kill your excitement is when that mickey touch point turns to blue. I had the tickets in my backpack still stuck to the paper they were glued to when mailed to us. I had just pulled them off when we went through security and asked Erin “Do you want Minnie or Goofy” she made it through no problem, I got the dreaded blue mickey. Which then of course I help up the line while we waited for management to come over and use there iPad to scan it and try to figure it out. This fiasco took a lot longer than anticipated. But in the end I got myself a MVMCP wristband and made my way into the kingdom.
The crowds were someone on the high side, no thanks to guests coming in for the party and other guests trying to leave. Main Street was a bit congested but nothing I couldn’t navigate through. I however kept forgetting all through the night that Erin has only been to Disney a hand full of times and knowing her way around the park and dodging crowds is not on the same level as mine. As I was dodging through the guests I remember telling Erin “If we loose each other just meet at the jungle cruise” Her response made me realize that I couldn’t loose her and I decided that if we didn’t make it on the jingle cruise it was ok.
We somehow managed to get there before our window closed and we were both regretting sweaters on an 80 degree day. This time I made Erin go first to the touch screen in fear of our fast passes not working after the dreaded blue mickey earlier. And what do you know that blue mickey appeared and the CM looked at us like we were trying to be sneaky and cut the line.

Jingle Bell Rock Is One Of Our Boulder Attractions

With our fast passes now messed up we stepped to the side and I went on the handy dandy app to see if our fast passes were there. It was loading and time was ticking away so I went to the CM who was in charge of the FP+ kiosk and asked for her help. She got it to work and it showed all our fast passes. So we headed back to the touch point, mine turned green Erin was still blue. But the nice thing about the app is that it is always there for proof. I showed it to the CM and he said that Erin was just naughty and couldn’t ride the Jingle Cruise. He was kind enough to switch Erins mickey to green and then we were on our way.
Normally I wouldn’t go through all this trouble to go on the Jungle Cruise but this time of year is special because its the Jingle Cruise and who doesn’t want to see presents floating in the water?

We hopped aboard Fruitcake Zelda and made our way through one festive jungle

The best part of the jingle cruise is all the great new festive puns!
“A great big tree with a boa on top”
“Jingle bell rock is one of our Boulder attractions here, a lot of people take it for granite”
“Look at all the deer! tall necked deer, black and white stripped deer…”
“Deck the falls with guests and holly”
“This could be santa’s workshop! Everybody just play it cool”

The worst thing about the cruise was that we were on the wrong side of everything that seemed to be decorated for the holiday

After the jingle cruise we had one last fastpass too use before the party, so we headed to the opposite side of the park. While we were passing the tree house Erin said “Pirates is around here, we should go on it” this became a joke throughout the night because she literally thought every time we were at the treehouse we were near pirates.
We finally made it to the land of tomorrow after trying to remind myself that I can’t go on autopilot and run through the crowds. I successfully made it to Space without loosing Erin.

I knew we would once again get stuck in the “you have no fastpass" problem. So I got prepared before hand and got the app open to show that we did indeed have fps. The CM didn’t question us and turned Erins mickey to green. Then it was off to Space and back

It was almost 5:30 so I suggested heading to petes silly sideshow to see if the line for Jack Skellington was starting. We still had an hour and a half till the party started but I was willing to waste that time before the party then during the party.
We made it over to the meet and greet area and he was already out and the line wasn’t as horrible as I expected it too be. With the proof of our wristbands we were welcomed into the line.
After our 40-45 minute wait it was finally our time to meet the sandy claws.

Sandy claws was all about my glittery ears because I guess sparkles are spooky which adds a little bit of halloween trends to the holiday season. Jack then said Erin must not wear glitter ears because she is still mad halloween is over. But little does he know I’m mad that halloween is over because MNSSHP time is by far my favorite time to spend in Disney.

And before we left we helped Sandy Claws decorate his tree in time for the party!

The Jungle Cruise or Jingle Cruise looks to festive. I've been when the Christmas decorations were up around Thanksgiving but I must have skipped going on this ride. How cool.

Once Upon A Christmastime At Christmas​

We still had about 20 minutes till the party started so to waste some time we decided to get a snack. Erin got a premium mickey bar and I got the cinnamon glazed almonds. We walked around the kingdom because we had time to kill. So we walked around fantasyland, through liberty square and saw the castle all lit up.

We missed the castle lighting while we were meeting with Jack, I made sure it was alright with Erin before hand. Clearly jack skellington means more to me then Elsa. Erin just wanted to see the castle all lit up.
The clock struck 7pm which means get ready for all the christmas festivities! And what better way to start the party than going to get some cookies and hot chocolate.

With some delicious treats in hand we headed to Main Street to find it already packed with guests waiting for the first parade. Since we were already there we decided to find a spot and wait the ridiculous 1.5 hour wait till the parade actually started. Yes we are completely crazy but I knew that with this party we needed to sit on main street so we could get the snoap effect with the parade.
This also brought the perfect opportunity to get some shopping done. Erin went to get some party merchandise first and I held our spots for us. Sitting on main street is one of my “happy places”. I could just sit back and watch everything around me, the music, the snoap (which actually kind of sucks to sit through for that long), the people, I just love it.

Erin came back with bags of merchandise and told me they were running out of stuff.
So we switched positions and I made my way through the emporium. They were completely out of the long sleeve shirt, they only had larges and larger. So I decided I would just get the short sleeve shirt. Then they were out of the Mickey pin for the party and what was the one thing my father wanted…the pin. I then decided I still had a good while till the parade so I booked it over to frontierland to the pin shop where they had walls of pins, not the mickey one but hey flynn and rapunzel would do just fine. After that purchase I headed to the liberty square to see if Memento Mori was opened, it was not. Walking back to main street Erin was in a panic saying the parade was going to be starting in 5 minutes. I knew I still had a good 20 minutes before it started in frontierland and then realized it was the second showing for the castle lighting. When I made my way back I made a quick stop at Casey’s to grab some waters and then went to find Erin.
By the time I got to our spot strollers had invaded and it was a joke trying to fit in my spot.

The Jingle crew showed up out of no where to start getting the crowd ready for all the festivities that were going to consume our night

The snoap started falling and Once Upon a Christmastime made its way down Main Street USA.
Day time parades are so much more easier to get good pics because I really have no clue how to photograph, I pretend like I do and it becomes a lot harder when it comes to night time parades.

The best part of the parade was when Aladdin spotted me out the the crowd and decided to try to be cool and throw his cape around. Erin was shocked that he was able to spot me out of all the guests and even better when he didn’t even know I was going to be there that night.
