My darling DH presented me with a new Inspiron for my birthday at the end of February (it's pink!!! :rotfl: ) and I fell in love. I put all our January/February trip photos on it and decided eventually I would add the older ones. Well lo and behold, last week DS came home and declared that we were "Family of the Week" at his kindergarten and I had to send in at least 8 photos of us having fun as a family.

Hmmmm....

It was time to get the photos moved over from my old laptop so I could prove that we are able to have fun as a family at more places than just WDW (we can! Honest!). In the end, I sent 7 photos of fun at WDW and...er...2 having fun elsewhere.

But in the process, I moved all the Nov/Dec WDW photos over to my pink computer. And saw how many of them were of food. And started thinking...as much as I love the food porn, how could I selfishly keep it from all my DIS friends? So it's four months since our Thanksgiving Adventure and two months since our Mid Winter Bonus Trip and I'm now putting together my review.

(We have a family trip planned three months from today...DH, DS, me, DDad, DStepmommy, DBrother, DSIL, DNephew and DNiece. Still haven't decided if I'll hold everyone up until I take photos of their food. Since DH also presented me with a new camera for my birthday that actually has a CUISINE setting (I swear!!!!) I think their chances for escape are slim...)

Instead of going day by day on the trips, I have decided to go location by location. I'm also combining the trips. In summary:

So tonight I'll start with Artist Palette...

These are all photos from the first trip, but two different breakfasts. We love Artist Palette at SSR. The food is hot and fresh and plentiful, there is lots of seating, the service is friendly and it is all around a good experience.

DS always gets the same thing when we go: Mickey Waffles and sausage (it comes with bacon, but DS always substitutes sausage):

For this breakfast he also got a yogurt. Max loves the waffles and dips them in syrup. This is a favorite for him.

DH and I split the Bounty Platter and the Croissant Sandwich. First up, the half eaten sandwich:

These croissant sandwiches are a staple around WDW - premade eggs wrapped around gooey American cheese served with bacon or ham. To me they look nasty and as though they should taste like eggy rubber. Not so! Every time we've had one I am always surprised how good they are. DH loves them and I always enjoy a few bites.

Now the Bounty Platter - first time:

Second breakfast:

This is a Mickey waffle, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuit with butter and jam, and breakfast potatoes. This is huge and full of enough of everything that it makes a great breakfast to share.

Drinks (we were on the DDP - two drinks per CS meal)

Yogurt Parfait - yogurt, fresh fruit and granola - YUM!

Again - these were over the course of two different trips to AP for breakfast...we don't eat this much in one sitting! But overall a great place to have breakfast. Especially if DTD is on your agenda for the day.

I have time for one more before bed!

We stopped here for breakfast one morning and I left the ordering up to DH. He knows I love chocolate mousse and have a serious weakness for frozen or cold lattes/mochas/cappuccinos, so his heart was in the right place.

But...my taste buds weren't happy.

First up, the mousse. I love chocolate mousse and I love dark chocolate. But not the combo. This darker chocolate mousse also had almost a grainy texture  . The sugar free chocolate mousse in Norway has me spoiled and this one just didn't do it for me. I ate some though (of COURSE I ate some!) and left the rest to DS and the garbage can (had to save room for more delectables, you know).

Next up was a frozen slushie cappuccino. This was basically latte combined with ice and crushed in a blender. It was okay, but I like mine either not blended or creamier.

For himself, DH got a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. It was a cold sandwich and he added mustard. What can I say about this except I wish he'd bought TWO! So good!!!

This is a great little bakery with the most beautiful assortment of pastries you can imagine. Every time we go there DH gets a sandwich instead of one of the gorgeous sugar laden treats and I always tease him but this time he was right on!

I love sitting at one of the tables outside and soaking up the atmosphere. And lest you were wondering what DS had - well, he had eaten yogurt and fruit in the room and was busy sucking down some candy he had bought in his "candy around the world" spree from France (you can see the sucker in the above sandwich photo).

It's vacation - sugar is okay for breakfast :rotfl:

Keep them coming... I'm gettin hungry!!!

16 days to go for me!!! :goodvibes

Oooooh, you have me hooked!!! Can't wait for more pics!!!!:goodvibes
