I saw a pic from 5pm from someone there and no crane.
We are here now, was in MK today and this evening and there is no crane up.

It's falseI saw someone post that this afternoon while I was still at work, so several hours ago. But things were moving so fast here I'm not sure many even noticed it. No one else commented or mentioned it again
Cat 5 according to Imagineers that worked on the structures (read somewhere though I can't locate it now)It might have been mentioned here, but I've been gone for a while:
What is WDW's buildings rated to again?
I know this has been posted before so I apologize for rehashing this, but I can't seem to find it in the hundreds of pages of postings haha.
Does anyone know how long it took MCO to open after closing for Matthew? I know these storms are two different animals, but I'm trying to get a sense of when it might open back up, as I'm scheduled to fly in to MCO Tuesday around 10ish. Thanks I'm advance for any responses!
Yeah we've thought of cancelling all together, and still may depending on what the reports are on Monday. We're renting the DVC points, and there's literally NO availability (so I've been told) for a week-long stay before the points expire in March in a studio at BLT, BWV, BCV, WL, or Poly.
I think there was some request from a mod to not post anything that would scare or frighten people. I agree that is going to become increasingly impractical if Irma crosses over Central Florida as a cat 3 or 4 and people on the ground at WDW start posting updates here of what is happening (which in turn might cause people from the press to start coming here and asking said people for details, interviews etc., etc).
You're absolutely right. Except I'm flying out of Bham instead of ATL now, so I'm mostly just worried about MCO (well, at least for my flight plans.)While MCO may open up relatively quickly depending on damage/flooding, you have to think about what this storm will look like as it moves northward. Will the storm hamper flights south just because it is too dangerous to fly through it. Will other airports in other states close as the storm passes through depending on the sustained winds and rain?
What about SSR they always seem to have rooms?
Every time I touched my phone I was SO careful, like I was holding something that might explode if I moved too quickly. I was so scared of accidentally hanging up.6 hours on hold is insane. I couldn't imagine being on hold for so long and then somehow being disconnected
Nope. We were in SSR this weekend and hoped to move it to another week. ANY other week. Not a darn thing open week-wise for a studio until March.
Disney is not accepting ADRs for Monday, 9/11.
Disney has cancelled some other activities this weekend like the Aloha Dinner show and Hoop Dee Doo.
Models are still not great. I wouldn't expect Disney to announce any closures until Saturday at the earliest.
