FP Line Cutting!

Want to cut back on line cutting? I know this is harsh but in a way it is stealing. If you get caught line jumping to a FP line, you are escorted out of the park and you may not return that day.

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to swap out our 11/28 FP for Splash to something else now. Love the DIS!

as others said, please report this.

Those humans knew what they were doing.

You cannot fix stupid. Karma WILL find them.

p.s. MANY times I have said the line starts back here, very loudly, and others chimed in.

I'm just waiting for the "If Disney had a problem with it, they would fix it so you couldn't" crowd to start a thread on what rides this works on and how to get away with it.:sad2:

Good point. I think the two things are exactly the same in essence...Disney allowing it and people using it.

I can't remember any ride not having a second scan when we were there in Oct.

I seen people do this as well but rather than skipping line I assumed that they most likely didn't know that it was a FP line. I suspected that when they got up to the ride (2nd scan) that they would be turned way. We passed quite a few people coming back out on our way in through the FP line, maybe sent back out? I still think that some people do not understand the whole thing.

I also seen a family that was in line do this but heard them clearly saying, let's just use our FP. They must have been waiting to ride once waiting in standby and planned to ride again right after using FP but changed their mind due to a longer wait.

I hope this is a joke.

Do people have no conscience? I don't understand how people can cheat the system and live with themselves. The guilt would eat away at me. What makes people think they deserve to cut ahead of others? They're doing others (including innocent children) and themselves an injustice - like others have mentioned, those parents are going to have to deal with the consequences of teaching their child at cheating is okay.

I've come to the realization that many people nowadays just don't think the rules apply to them. Those are the people who jump lines, send one person to stand in line while the rest of their party of 10 comes back just in time to get on the ride, wait until the last minute to come view a parade and then step in front of people who have waited hours, use flash photography in dark rides, etc.

If I saw this happen, I definitely would have pointed it out very loudly and made sure they got back in the proper line. Or, if someone isn't brave enough to do that, point it out to the first cast member you see at the ride and have them send them to the back of the line.

I am surprised someone hasn't added to this discussion that line cutting is just a legit loophole and Disney is fine with it because those ropes they put up are just to easy to get around. Greed and entitlement has crept into every aspect of our society even a Disney vacation. Really sad.

I think I will write the "Objectivist's Guide To WDW: Trip Planning by John Gault" and include all those tips, and other ways to cheat the system, as long as in the end it makes YOUR trip better regardless of how it effects others, that is all that matters...I'll make a fortune!

wow, two posts in one day where I get to use Objectivism, must be election day :)

That's how it is at Six Flags. If you get caught line jumping you get ejected from the park. The lines even have signs posted with the number to security. If you see line jumping (and it includes getting out of line for any reason and then getting back in, as well as leaving one person to save a spot and joining them later) you call the number, give them a description along with what ride you're on, and they'll usually meet them at the exit or before loading onto the ride and escort them out.

Disney created this situation when they messed up the perfectly fine old fastpass system. As soon as they started enforcing return times our hands were forced to find ways to make up for those lost FP rides. I will never be ashamed of discovering and acting on an opportunity to maximize the value of my vacation investment.

:rolleyes2 That doesn't mean you get to cut ahead of people that actually have FPs because you feel like you "deserve" it.

So because they made you follow the rules, it excuses cheating?

I suppose now it's FP+'s fault for line cutting.

I love the new lingo these days...."maximizing the value" Nice way of saying I'm going to cheat to get what I want because I deserve it. :rolleyes2

There will always be people who think the rules don't apply to them. Their happiness is more important than the next persons. This is part of the problem in America today - entitlement. Blah blah blah....I spent a lot of money on this vacation so I'm entitled to get everything I want the way I want it.

Especially at AK this would be one of those situations where I'd roll my eye at the offender but really not let it bother me. Vacation is just too short.

And being the super childish grownup that I am, I would have hollered at them for everyone to hear. lol

My DBF is the exact same! LOL! He jumps at the first chance to tattle on somebody very loudly! "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. THOSE PEOPLE ARE CUTTING. BABE. LOOK AT THAT FAMILY. THE FAMILY I'M POINTING AT. RIGHT THERE. YES, THAT FAMILY THAT'S CUTTING INTO THE FASTPASS LINE. THE DAD IS WEARING A BLUE SHIRT AND RED SHORTS AND THE SON IS WEARING A TIGGER LONGSLEEVE AND KHAKI PANTS. LOOK AT HOW THEY'RE CUTTING IN LINE. BABE. DO YOU SEE THEM? DO YOU SEE THAT FAMILY CUTTING IN LINE? DO YOU SEE THEM? DO YOU?! RIGHT THERE!"

He would have a smirk on his face the entire time.

We never let these things bother us on vacations, but it gives us (and usually everybody around us) a good laugh.

It costs Disney more in CM wages to have the second Mickey head manned. 'Nuff said!
