Trader Sams is coming to the Poly also confirmed!

Polynesian is going back to original name The Polynesian Village Resort!

Also confirmation that the pool is getting completely redone!

Harambe nights was also discussed the new FOTLK theater will officially open in June!

Glow with the show will be available for symphony in the stars for Star Wars weekends!

The waterfall is gone yes but can I say that it doesn't look like I will miss it much? The new room looks more open yet keeps that feeling Poly always strives to achieve.

I don't believe it's THAT pool...which was built and opened in 2001

The original leaked DVC plans... Which of course are rolling right along...had the old crappy pool next to the arcade being redone. The addition of the trade Sams makes that even more plausible.
They've also always added a DVC pool... All of which are themed and liquored up since the beach club villa pool...

Are we sure about this? Why touch the volcano?

According to the tikiman they are getting rid of the volcano but keeping the slide. It is that pool they are renovating. There is also talk about adding another pool and the infinity hot tub from aulani.

Astro Oribtor and Peoplemover update

So more info has come out on the long refurb coming to Astro and the Peoplemover.

1. it is confirmed at this time the planets will be fixed to once again spin on the tower.

2. Rumored that the ride will see new lighting and elevator.

3. Peoplemover will see new lighting, special effects and major cleaning. Some of the track is planned to be replaced as well inside the buildings.

At the time this hasn't been confirmed by Disney so no way to know for sure if this will all happen.

The planets are almost a given they haven't worked in a long time and disney needs to fix them. The also want to make the elevator more accessible for everyone. The peoplemover needs a fix up as well some new paint and cleaning.

New elevated construction has started at DTD. This is in the west side and it will be for seating areas near the new Starbucks.

Construction on the second set of bungalows has started. The first six are beginning exterior work and interior work. The next set two have the frame up, and one has the roof frame on it.

The Soarin' shoot is scheduled for this week.
