Grand Floridian Pricing Debuts

Today, Disney Vacation Club will reopen sales for the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at prices which begin at $207 per point and dip to $186 each for a purchase of 200 points and just $174 each for 1000 or more.

This matches current prices for Disney's Riviera Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.

No discounts are offered for purchases of 25 to 124 points. However, beginning at 125 points, members can save $8 each. The savings climb with the volume of the purchase, maxing out at $33 off each point for add-ons of 1000 or more.

A portion of the incentive is set to expire on March 30, 2022. For instance, the $21 discount for 200 points will drop to $17 off effective March 31.

The complete list of discounts is as follows:

125-149 points: $8 off per point
150-174 points: $10 off
175-199 points: $13 off
200-249 points: $21 off
250-299 points: $22 off
300-499 points: $28 off
500-999 points: $31 off
1000+ points: $33 off

The above discounts are valid only until March 30, 2022, at which time the incentives will decline by $3-5 per point to the following:

150-174 points: $6 off
175-199 points: $9 off
200-249 points: $17 off
250-299 points: $18 off
300-499 points: $24 off
500-999 points: $26 off
1000+ points: $28 off

Sales will not open to new buyers until March 31, 2022. Non-member pricing has not yet been revealed.

DCL Drops St. Petersburg, Russia from European Itinerary

With the health, safety, and security of passengers and crew remaining a top priority for Disney Cruise Line, two Northern European itineraries are being modified. These modifications affect two summer sailings aboard the Disney Magic.

The scheduled 11-night sailing departing July 30th and the 7-night sailing departing August 10th will now visit an alternate port instead of St. Petersburg, Russia.

Disney Cruise Line is currently in discussions with port authorities in other countries and will share the updated itineraries with those affected guests later this month.

It looks beautiful! I will miss the rainbow

I was hoping the rainbow would stay in rotation so I could see it. IMHO, the new lights on Spaceship Earth are the best thing so far in the 50th Celebration, I stood there for half an hour just watching when I was there in December.

Character meet and greets drop physical distancing at Disneyland Paris - Walt Disney World next?

Character meet and greets are back to normal at Disneyland Paris, with all physical distancing protocols eliminated. As of this morning, guests are able to hug the characters and get autographs - all without distancing measures.

Notably, Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is not using any distancing measures, with guests able to freely interact with the characters aboard the Halcyon.

It would seem likely that based on these recent changes we will also see Walt Disney World's meet and greets return to normal operations in the very near future.

Concierge Pre-Booking Window Expanded for Disney Wish and Disney Dream Sailings


Disney Cruise Line announced, Concierge Guests on cruises embarking July 14, 2022 and beyond aboard the Disney Wish and Disney Dream will have an expanded window to select activities prior to other Guests.

Concierge Guests can now book Port Adventures and select Cruise Activities at 130 daysprior to their sailing by contacting their Concierge Specialist.

Concierge Guests on sailings prior to the July 14, 2022 date will continue to be notified of their booking window 125 days prior to sailing.

That's really good news! Hopefully it comes over to Florida soon.

I'd really like it if Cinderella's Royal Table brought back all the Princesses. Heck, I'd love it if they brought back the other Princess meals too.

this 100%. the best thing to come out of the 50th. I used to look at it and think "can't they DO something more with this?!" even as a kid! then the projections for Happily Ever After came out hot and I imagined them using it on Spaceship Earth soon. It's SO cool.

Has it been said that Guardians will use a soundtrack similar to the films? I don't know why but I just watched one and thought man this music would be awesome on the ride. I'm a BIG fan of the blaring music on RRC so this would be so cool to me! I love the Guardians soudtrack

Galactic Starcruiser Bookings Open March 4 for October to December 2022

After initially only selling cruises through the end of September 2022, Disney has announced that they will open up general public bookings for October through December 2022 on March 4. Only a single cruise has sold out during the recent pre-sale opportunity for Club 33 and Golden Oak Members.
