Why are Hawaii and Arizona different?Woo Hoo, Arizona here so no changing clocks for me.
I try to remember that little benefit when summer temps hit.
Trade offs and all.
Great reminder for most folks!
They do not change their clocks in fall or spring as the other states do. State legislation/voter determination. CA bid to stay the same time all year failed. I can't remember if the vote failed or if it failed to make it to the ballotWhy are Hawaii and Arizona different?

I am hoping Oregon will soon join that list. They are trying to get it on our November ballot. Really hate the time change.

Illinois is considering 12 month DST also. I think it passed the house here.Arizona doesn't need more daylight hours during the summer.
If not for circadian rhythm I wouldn't have any rhythm at all! The time change draws a lot of ire from some folks, I'm lucky that it doesn't affect me at all. I do enjoy that it stays light later in the evening. Easier to grill out when it's lighter & warmer.I feel like my natural circadian rhythms fit DST better than EST.
I had to walk my dogs in the dark, this morning. Thanks, "Daylight Saving" time. Saving... saving what? Not saving my sanity, that's for sure.

It was on the ballot and PASSED. But it only allowed California to stay one or the other IF the federal government passed legislation allowing states to decide.
