I never wear underwear for a massage...at a minimum, every massage I’ve ever had ran down along my sides. Underwear would mess that up and get lotion on them.

DH and I are taking our first "kid-free" cruise in June. We are splurging and doing the couple's choice massage, and we cannot wait!!! What is the etiquette regarding clothing during the massage and bathing suits during the hot tub? I've read where some couples didn't wear a suit in the hot tub, but others do. I've also read that suits are required. Are they able to pull open any curtains and see us outside? Also, I've read that the run down is foot cleansing, hot tub, massage, then Roman bed with fruit and tea. When does the rainfall shower happen?

I believe you've gotten some good feedback. Our experience was a little different, but it was a couple of years ago to be fair. We were on the Dream and did the couples massage. Thoroughly enjoyed it! We had nothing on for the massage but that's truly not an issue since the massage therapists are well-trained (not sure if certified but call DCL--they would likely know), and they keep you appropriately covered. As another said, some sort of oil or lotion is used, and we felt it wiser not to wear anything. However, that's a personal choice so go with how you feel. Once escorted into the hot tub area, it's private. At least on the Dream, there were no nearby staterooms--it's you, your spouse, the spa, and the ocean. Again, do as you will. We're not the squeamish type, and we enjoy hot tubs. For the record, we could smell the chlorine in the hot tub if that sort of thing bothers you. Oh, and we brought in some champagne. It was quite lovely and, honestly, romantic. We're headed back to the Dream for a Christmas cruise, and we'll definitely book the couples massage this time, as well. Have fun!

And if you're wondering, the fruit we received was skewers of pineapple and chocolate covered strawberries. The tea was Twinings. Large selection.

(I was thinking about trying this for our upcoming 7 day Fantasy. We've still got a lot of Disney gift cards from the refund from a cancelled WDW vacation, so this is the time to do something wild and crazy.)

We were on the Wonder last month and it was available but had to be booked onboard.

We did it on the magic in December but had to be booked onboard. We also did a couples massage on castaway. We enjoyed both next time I think we’d choose the massage on castaway though.

Rather than make a new thread I'll try tacking on here since it's all Couple's Choice related:

We're looking at doing this for our upcoming cruise, but my DW really hates anyone touching her feet, so the whole foot scrub at the beginning is very much a "no go" for her. Is there any alternative to that? Even just extra hot tub time would be fine if not some other short treatment option for her.
