Couple's Choice Massage

DH and I are taking our first "kid-free" cruise in June. We are splurging and doing the couple's choice massage, and we cannot wait!!! What is the etiquette regarding clothing during the massage and bathing suits during the hot tub? I've read where some couples didn't wear a suit in the hot tub, but others do. I've also read that suits are required. Are they able to pull open any curtains and see us outside? Also, I've read that the run down is foot cleansing, hot tub, massage, then Roman bed with fruit and tea. When does the rainfall shower happen?

I wasn't trying to be rude. I was being practical.

People get so worked up over the pump bottles... A hot tub seems far more unsanitary to me.

Ok, so you would choose not to get in the hot tub...that's fine for you. However, we are looking forward to it. Also, you were not able to help with any of the questions that I had so I'm confused as to why you even got on this thread.

We did this on the Wonder last month. We were told to wear bathing suits in the hot tub. We had worn our bathing suits there, and so left our things in a locker and wore a robe over the bathing suit. I usually leave my panties on for a massage, but in this case I had to go au naturale, or have a soggy bottom. Then we put the robes back on for the lounging afterwards. It was awesome, we loved it!

ETA: There is a curtain/blind that is on the inside from the hot tub that they have control over opening and closing.

I know it was one size in the ladies locker room and my husband's seem to fit him with plenty of room (he's 6' tall and about 215 lbs). But, they have all shapes and sizes of customers on a regular basis, so I'm sure they are used to accommodating everyone. Your therapists will meet you at reception and walk you back to the locker room to get changed and then wait for you outside so don't stress. They will be right outside if your husband has any question about it.

Thanks! We are going on the Dream. I thought maybe people would be able to see onto the balcony. But I've read where some people went naked, so I wanted to ask. We will be staying clothed.

The website currently says that the hot stone one is an option. We weren't really given choices, but I had gotten incredibly sunburned, so maybe that eliminated all but the basic Swedish. I expect you'd want to be proactive about anything specific. We'd thought about doing the optional champagne upgrade but they never brought it up.

I don't think they want to see anything any more than you want them to see it... On the other hand, we've been able to see into the bridge a couple of times so I'm not sure you'd really want to do anything that embarrassing ...

We always do suits for the tub. If I remember correctly, the water in the tub is chlorinated so its no different in jumping in one of the big tubs on deck. Shower after the tubs and then massage.

Headed to the Med next year. This is already on the list of must dos... (brunch at Palos and this it makes a great but ungodly expensive day)

We've done the swedish, hot stone and bamboo. My hands down favorite is the hot stone.
