I'm traveling to Disney this August during the free dining promotion. We booked this trip as a Bounce-Back when we were there this past August.
For this trip, we are bringing along my mother and my aunt. We will be staying in 2 rooms (DH, me and 2 boys in one room, my mom & aunt in the other).
When we booked the rooms the person helping me make the reservation explained that we would have to book one room under my name, and one under my husband's in order to get the free dining promotion (as the "bounce back" could only be booked to guests actually staying there at the time of booking). So although our sleeping arrangements will be as I described above, the actual room bookings are for me, my mom and the 2 boys in one room, and my husband and aunt in the other.
Here's the problem. We are staying 9 days. My mom & aunt are only staying 5 days (I tried to convince them to stay the whole 9, but they didn't want to). Since my husband is booked in the room with the shorter stay, he will only have park tickets for 5 days, while my 2 sons and myself will have them for the full 9. Meanwhile, my mom will have park tickets for 9 days, even though she's only staying 5. We will have the same problem with our dining credits.
I don't think the dining credits will be a big problem, because my mom & aunt can just use my aunt's KTTW card for all of their meals, and DH & I can always use my KTTW card.
But what's the best way to handle the park ticket thing? Can I just buy the extra days for DH and add them to his KTTW card? Is this even possible, since I imagine his KTTW card will become invalid once he & my aunt check out of the room he's "booked" in.
I think adding additional park admission days to a KTTW is way cheaper than starting fresh with a new card, right? So I'd like to avoid having to spend a couple hundred on something I could otherwise get for $30 or so. (Especially since I'm re-buying something I've already paid for -- just for the wrong person!)
I guess another option would be for DH to just use my mom's KTTW card after she leaves with my aunt. But I'd hate for someone to notice that he's using a card with a woman's name and think he was using a stolen card or something.
Does anyone have any advice about the best course of action? The reservation specialist made it sound so easy, but it's starting to sound very complicated to me . . .
