Thanks again to everyone for reading along and commenting! Makes me smile!
I would just like to do this before zooming forward with more details.... Yes folks, it's true.....we are in double digits.....Whoop!! Exciting......
So I think I just did day five at Sea World so it....fairly logically....indicates that I should go for Day 6. Call me crazy but that's what I'm going for....
Day 6: Magic Kingdom
This is a bit of a special day for DD as she's chosen, as a belated birthday present (her birthday is in June!), a trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It's not necessarily something that DH and I would have directed her towards however she is such a girly girl (if that makes sense) and it just totally appeals to her! We also thought that if she is willing to wait for a present for 2 and a bit months then it is obviously something that holds some importance! Anyway, we've got her appointment booked for early in the morning, but what we'll do is buy a dress in the UK (at a considerably cheaper price!) and secretly transport it over then leave it out on the bed for her to find that morning with an invitation from the princess in question (reckon it may well be Anna....!) to go to BBB. We've gone for early morning so that we get full on value for money -
Not exactly sure where we'll head to ride-wise but it won't involve getting wet! I do kind of like the idea of a few fast pass photos of her on crazy rides all dressed up as a princess - ha!
Sadly we know that POTC will be under refurbishment for the ENTIRE time we are out there - altogether now.....BOOOOOOOOO. So, and I know you'll all be devastated about this.....there will be no photos like this:
I'm sorry to disappoint you.....
It also could be a day of meeting lots of characters! Or perhaps a bit of Sorcerors. We'll play it by ear and then I'll tell you all about it in the trip report (hint hint....read it please!) What I know she won't be doing is this:
We've no specific plans for lunch....other than to avoid this:
And I don't mean the Grand Floridian Café....I mean the general hi-jinks with food!
In the evening we will be heading to the GF but to 1900 Park Fare rather than the café. We went for breakfast last time and are going to try dinner this year. Mainly because of DD (although this is a surprise for her) and the fact that we want to meet the stepsisters again!
I love DD's face in this....as if to say....save me!!!!
We're looking forward to this day....especially the elements of surprise for DD.....
Day 7 end of week one! - Animal Kingdom
First day at AK! I think DD is most excited about this one - she just adores animals of any sort. We have two cats at home and she really loves them and gets very excited about any sort of creature. We live right next to some woods at home and it is the season for slow worms - our littlest cat really likes slow worms (possibly because she's a total doofus and wouldn't catch anything faster but meh....) and has regularly brought exhibits in for our delight! Doesn't faze DD in the least - crazy thing! I have to admit I think they are rather beautiful, however that view is not shared by DH - he is not keen (and that's being way too polite - given the chance I think he'd scream like a girl!) Anyway, I digress - the point of all that random info is that I reckon DD will really enjoy AK....
Last time we went she did this:
Points for anyone who knows why.....
Lunch will hopefully be at Flame Tree
Lots of character meets - although no more Flik - booo. We were standing in the queue to meet Flik on one occasion when the lady behind us said to her child - and when I say 'said' I actually mean SAID - 'You wanna get a photo with the big blue bug?' Errrrr....seriously? Did you just refer to...? You don't know who....? You've paid a lot of money to.......? Sheeesh! It's developed into a bit of a family catchphrase over the years
Def want to see these two though..
SQUIRREL! (I actually really empathise with Dug at times....)
Looking forward to so much at AK and particularly fond of wringing shorts out after Kali! We will of course return to EE. I love this ride. Last visit, DD discovered that she was tall enough and she was ridiculously excited.......well.......that excitement ended within about 5 seconds of the ride starting. The rest of it I remember as resembling a therapy session.......the photo says it all....
I think DD's horror makes up for the completely impassive lady behind her!
We may also have to go on Dinosaur - yes, it is under duress (seriously wish it was being refurbished.....) I am NOT a fan. The first time I went on it (when it was called Countdown to Extinction I believe) I was with a friend and let's just say that when we went to find our ride photo it took a very long time. Why? Because we were looking for both of us and I wasn't actually visible because I had put my head in her lap out of sheer terror.......have I mentioned that I'm a bit of wimp......
Last time we went......well......here we are.......
DD keeps saying that we're going on again this year and going to keep our eyes open......who's she kidding????!!!!
We're planning on trying out Olive Garden for dinner as we want to try some different off site places this year. Secretly though I think it's because DH has banned DD and I from going to Sanaa since on our previous visit I taught DD the technique of removing the paper wrapper off the straws by tearing off one end and blowing into the wrapper so that the paper flies off. What do you mean it's irresponsible? Nah......oh, ok so she copied me and ended up blowing the paper onto the back of a girl sitting at an adjacent table......erm.....somewhat embarrassing, but of course I am to blame........in my defence the girl was celebrating her birthday and I suspect DD helped her remember it..........
So....Olive Garden it is.......
