Pixarmom, I haven't been on the thread much (trip is too far off and it's making me sad!!!) but if you are running the TOT in 2013 I'll see you there I hope!

Hi Feckless! Good to see you! :) It's either ToT 10 in 2013 or 1/2 marathon in 2014. I think ToT 10 is likely - we'll see how we like fall in WDW in a couple weeks! :)

BLT and Missy, thanks so much for the responses! Just upgraded our CR reservation to Atrium Club today! Sorry it's a little OT here - it's one night at the end of our upcoming BC stay and it will be hard to leave BC for something that's new to us.

You will love it! It's a beautiful resort and there's nothing better than waving to all the bus/monorail crowds as you leisurely walk back to your resort! :lmao:

Hi everyone. I'm trying to help out a friend who is there now. They ate lunch poolside, ordered hamburger, 2 chicken sandwiches, PBJ, sushi and 5 drinks and it came to $90. They are wondering if they should have did the QS dining plan, figuring they will be spending $180 day. Could they have done better if they went into the Beachclub Marketplace? Why would this have been so much? I haven't been in touch with them for a while, so I'm not sure if this was brought poolside by a waitress or not. Maybe when the waitress delivers it it wouldn't have qualified for QS anyway??

That seems really high! Were these regular soft drinks or drinks with alcohol? Did this include a tip?

Let's say your friend paid $10 each for the hamburger, 2 sandwiches, sushi (1 order) and PBJ- that's $50. Then another $40 for the drinks (5 drinks, $8 each).

Here's a couple of pictures of the menu from the Marketplace (these are over a year old):

Sounds like they definitely would have been better off getting food at the Marketplace.

I know.. doesn't sound right. I don't think they were alcoholic drinks, if so it only would be 2- rest soft drinks. I guess it does cost more for poolside service. When I get more info I'll let you know.

I thought I had a picture of the prices/selection of the grab and go items at the pool, but I just searched and couldn't find it.

Hi everyone, I have been out of the loop for a few days. We are arriving at Beach Club on Monday.:jumping1::jumping1:

We are there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, so looking forward to staying at a Epcot resort, for the first time. We booked a standard CL view room. So is there anything new we need to know or suggestions to make the trip extra special? We will be staying for 6 nights. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

Any chance the noodles are available for our stay 11/24-12/1? I think I saw someone earlier for 11/28-12/2? Would be willing to handoff on 11/28 as needed, please let me know! Thank you!! :)

We will be staying at Beach Club Villas in two studios 4/13/13 to 4/20/13. Please add us to the list. We would be happy to meet other adults when we are there.

This is an adults-only trip. My wife and I will be celebrating our 50th birthdays and we are taking my mother in law as well. This will be both mine & MIL first visit ever.

Advice on room requests is appreciated. We would like a full balcony for the morning coffee/evening wine. What is the likelihood our two rooms will be reasonably close?

We had poolside service many, many times in July this year and the price was exactly the same as it would have been had we walked to HH and picked it up ourselves. The only difference was the tip and the amount to tip was suggested on the reciept. You can also order using your dining plan no problem. Those cocktails are quite pricey though so maybe that could be part of it?

Hi everyone :wave2:. I've been lurking for awhile abosorbing what everyone has to say about Beach Club. In March we stayed at Boardwalk and this March I booked for Beach Club. I love BW, but the pool at BC looks awesome so we want to give it try. We are going March 21 - 30.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:

Hello

My trip with family will be 11/22 -11/27. 3 generations, 4 rooms and counting at BC. I may be staying a couple of extra days to relax after being with family :rolleyes1 but will be moving to a moderate for that.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the list. Sounds like a fantastic family trip!

:goodvibes

:woohoo:

I will leave it to the DVC experts to answer your questions about the villas, but the good news is, I believe all of the rooms at BCV have full balconies or patios (if you are on the first floor)

To everyone:

Have you checked the Be Our Guest list lately?

Is your info correct?

Who will be there at the same time as you???

Post 13: Be Our Guest list

Noodles:

I just checked the noodle family info and it appears that our days 11/28-12/2 are open. Please add us to the noodle swap!:wave2: Thank you!

Done!

I will add you to the Noodle Swap for Nov 24-Nov 28. As your trip gets closer, I suggest you PM BackstoryWorthy to see when they will be picking up the noodles, or perhaps arranging a direct handoff if it is convenient for both of you.

Good morning :)
Friday morning DH & I woke up around 5:30am to go for a morning run! We ran around the Boardwalk which was torture smelling the bakery :rotfl:. After our run we headed over to MK where I tried out the new FP +, really only used it once cause we ended up meeting my friend and her family. I haven't seen her in 7 yrs!!! If we would have stuck with the original plan it would have been great. Dinner at Cape May which we all loved :thumbsup2 It was raining really hard after dinner so we decided to head back to the room for the night.

Saturday morning DH & I went running on the path to HS which was awesome!!! Can't wait to do that again. We went to AK for the morning, had some lunch, then back to the room for a nap/laundry. Woke up walked through Epcot rode Living with the Land & Spaceship Earth the. Took the Monorail to the Poly for dinner at Ohana!! After dinner we went to MK for MSEP & the fireworks !!!! We ended up staying and riding some rides, didn't get back until midnight !! Needless to say no early morning run today .

Lalabubbles- we appreciate the updates about your trip so far!

Babyberger- thanks for sharing your fantastic pictures and descriptions from your trip. That WAS a fabulous view!!! What room #?

pixarmom- check out Missyrose's TR from 10/11 (Boo to Two) for some great information about her stay at CR

To anyone else who enjoys trip reports-here is a plug for the ones from Missyrose- Absolutely amazing photos from her boyfriend Franklin accompanied by well-written commentary by Missy. Great food porn, too, if you are into that!

Can't wait to see her report after her stay at BCV!

Here are a few photos taken before Teena's ship sailed off. I'll post more when she sends me some after her return.

And I'll let you know how ToT is! :thumbsup2
Marathon Weekend in January is a very special time. There are SO many runners - both new and experienced. There's a great feeling of kinship as you walk around the parks with your shiny new medal.
I'm curious about ToT. In the race instructions they commented that a huge percentage of runners are running their first distance race. It's obviously a much smaller event but it's tied to F&W and MNSSHP. I think there are a lot of people who haven't really trained and don't really care about the race but are going for the experience. :confused3
Anyway next week at this time I'll be walking around with my new ToT medal! (And at BC, too!)

I don't have any advice for you, Angel, but wanted to say congratulations!!! Enjoy your anniversary celebration!pixiedust:

As Dee said, all villas have either a balcony or patio so no worries there. Frankly, I'd just request villas near each other and leave it at that. There are only 200+ villas including one and two BRs and the views aren't really that great anyway (although I personally love the woods views). I would think leaving it to that one request would be your best bet? :confused3 Have a great first visit!! :cool1:

As you can see from my signature, we're fans of both too and are starting to book split stays every time! I grew up staying at Poly, but our first CR stay is coming up in a couple weeks. Any thoughts on CL there?

We are staying at BLT for 4 nights marathon week in January. Then moving to BCV's for 4 nights. Really, really excited about this split. Best of both Worlds!

Pixarmom, I haven't been on the thread much (trip is too far off and it's making me sad!!!) but if you are running the TOT in 2013 I'll see you there I hope!

Just another thank you for your trip report babyberger.

We've stayed at both the Beach Club and the Beach Club Villas many times. The BCVs are actually a closer walk to Epcot than many of the BC rooms. We love the fact that it is so easy to walk to Epcot. And the walk to HS isn't too bad, either. It is a great resort to stay at when you have teenagers or family groups, because everyone can go their separate ways and it is easy to meet up again later. It is also easy to walk over to watch the Grand Illumination at night.

That being said, we are opting for the Wilderness Lodge for the first time ever, since we now have grandchildren and the MK is not that easy to reach from the BC.
